  1. That’s not the point. The argument was that he and his family are probably settled. They are, in Surrey. Anywhere south of Birmingham is a commutable distance (which in a way is why he’s still here).
  2. I guess the question is can you (or at least think you can) do better? I’d suggest the answer, similar to us, is no.
  3. Correct, Surrey. Point being, he doesn’t live down here.

    Che Adams

The club will not sell Adams without Ralph’s say so. If Adams goes, it’s because we have a replacement.
  5. Lives in London, always has done.
  6. Yes he has.
  7. Only move on if mistakes are learnt from. Based on the past couple of years, I have 0 confidence the club will deliver this January or next summer for that matter. Hopefully I’m wrong and with the appointment of Crocker and whispers of Gao wanting out, hopefully things will start to improve. If they don’t, fans need to take action, rather than just ‘move on’. All imo of course.
  8. Pretty much summed up by the fact that people would rather see nonsense links to players we aren’t going to sign, than to be told that these aren’t going to happen.
  9. I could understand the Carrillo signing if it was for a manager who we weren’t clearly going to get rid of as they aren’t cut out for it. For example clasie for Koeman or if Ralph brought in a flop from RB. But it was just so obvious that MP wasn’t cut out for it.
  10. Jan 2017 should have been when the alarm bells started. If I remember rightly, we were linked to Sakho (of Liverpool at the time) but narrowly missed out.. where have I heard that before? Ironically, we ended up with a panic buy (again, where have I heard that before), who was actually pretty decent... but we never played him
  11. I think, as CB says, the reason they do it is because it works. People like you and Egg fall for their nonsense year after year. But I’m sure we’re wrong and the club are just really unlucky that we never land who we want. It must be those agent fee’s.
  12. It worked a treat, Monaco wanted £30m until master of deception, uncle Les tricked them into thinking we wanted Walcott.
  13. Dishing out sh!t on the pitch, fans unhappy... what makes fans happy (other than winning)...? It’s no surprise to me that the over ‘promising’ only ever seems to happen when we’re ****. You do the maths. Of course, it could be that we’re really unlucky and just never get to land our transfer targets
  14. Every window for the past 3 or 4 years we’ve leaked stories to the press about interest in players. ‘ITK’s’ stating were in for x, y & z... come the end of the window we end up with a Danso or Carrillo.
  15. As as with ever window, Saints will over promise and under deliver.
  16. The thing is, he never had the attributes. He was poor in the air and couldn’t mark. In fact, all he was good at was 1-1 defending. I don’t know what’s happened, but he has really come a vital part of the team. He’s becoming the leader we needed at the back and whilst I do worry mistakes could creep back into his game, long may this form continue. We still need a Cb, but at this rate, we play them with Stephens. Credit to Jack and Ralph.
  17. His arm was in such an ‘unnatural’ position and so far away from his body, I don’t think it matters how hard it was kicked. The most blatant handball you’ll see all season and I cannot believe it wasn’t given (by the ref and VAR).
  18. Skate game aside, Adams hasn’t played too bad. His lack of goals is a concern though and I’m not sure he is best suited to playing to with Ings (both look to drop into the 10, rather than play off the shoulder). There is a player there though and if ings got injured he’d be my choice to replace him. Personally though, if we had a credible chance of bringing in another CF in jan (not at the expense of a CB, RB or CM) then I’d send him out on loan as I don’t think we are in a position to rely on him (or any of the others) should the worse happen to ings.
  19. Well not really. Longs contract is up in the summer. Loan out Adams until the end of the season to help him get a bit of confidence and regular game time, bring in someone new as more competitive cover for Ings. Bring Adams back and Let Long leave in the summer. It would actually be a sensible move by the club as currently, none of the 3 behind Ings look half capable of consistently getting the goals we need to stay up and ings is over due an injury.
  20. For me, if he starts he has to play centrally, but he’s more of an impact player. Especially when at home. On current form, I’d rather have him than Redmond, but I’d have Djenepo and Armstrong over the both of them. Strange that Duckhunter would dig him out after 1 average game, when he’s been pretty decent when played this season.
  21. He was fantastic yesterday. Dominated against Wesley (who is shocking btw) and was arguably MOTM. However, he made 2 pretty basic mistakes in the last 5 minutes which on another day would have cost us and I think that’s the issue. He’s always got a mistake a game in him.
  22. Hung parliament with labour majority. My gut feel. Possibly the single worse thing to happen to this country since the blitz.
  23. Overall I’d say 6/10... last season 7/10 this season 4/10. I don’t think there is a manager out there who could do a better job with the hand he’s been given. A little bit lost at times, needs help. Back him in January.
  24. Cedric was correctly tracking the winger. Stephens marking empty space and trying to play off-side which let puki in
  25. **** me, what Ralph would do to have VvD at the back and Tadic in our midfield. The squad Puel had was a lot better than it currently is now. If we had a CB and creative midfielder with half the ability of those, we’d be comfortable.
