Kat gets an easy ride because of her dad. She doesn’t give two ****s about the club, it was clear from the get go that Gao wouldn’t invest anything in the club... this ‘I’m selling to move the club forward’ is nonsense. Gao was never going to achieve that, it was obvious. The only reason she is getting twitchy is because her shares are rapidly decreasing in value. Her father is a legend, but I wouldn’t **** on her if she was on fire.

I’ve been saying it for years, it’s a joke. Like it (and him or not) Markus legacy died the day Cortese walked out. Appreciate we couldn’t go on the way we were under him, but we’ve had 2 chances to ‘push on’ and be where Leicester are now. Once when Poch left, the other when Koeman left. Both would have stayed if they believed in the project, neither could be persuaded. We’re a shambles of a club at present, the worst ran in the premier league... in fact, unless we spend big (and well) in Jan, which looks unlikely, we’ll go down and I think we’ll actually be in the same position as Stoke are currently.. I was watching stoke the other day and they are an interesting to compare us against. Overpaid average players who couldn’t give 2 ****s about the club. A load on out on loan, on high wages which they cannot shift. If he’s not going to invest, then he needs to sell up. I don’t think he will and things are about to get significantly worse.

beattie Has been in Southampton a fair bit the past few weeks. A coincidence I’m sure.

All winable, 2 a must win, 1 or 2 a must not lose. I think we’ll pick up 5 points (1 win against Norwich draw against Watford and Newcastle) Relegation all but confirmed

Whilst I agree with most of your post, there is something in this though. The current coaching set up aren’t fit for purpose.

He didn’t leave Saints for BM, he left saints, then found a job at BM.

Saints will buy at CB and FB, new DoF in a month, says Telegraph

This is it for me. You may get lucky with 1 or 2 bargain bin signings, but you’re never going to get a full squad of them. A on average, a £15m player is the equivalent of £5m 5 years ago, for example Carrillo. We needed to push the boat out £25m+ to get a top CB in the summer. We didn’t, and we’re sunday league as a result. Our model is sustainable (buy, develop, sell), as long as you’re willing to move with the times in terms of transfer fees. -

Agree. I’d rather Claise over someone like JWP. He was never really given a fair crack imo. -
What was the argument about, out of interest? Ralph does look a completely different person this year, it has to be said.
-
An absolute disgrace. Far too big for his boots, shocking attitude from what I’ve seen away from football. Had a handful of above average games been **** in just as many. Wouldn’t be disappointed if he never played for us again
-
Sack the waste of spaces Kelv, Fleming and Watson, back Ralph and get him some Proper support as he currently looks lost. Who’s out there? I’ll chuck it out there, id love to see Roy Keane involved in some way to absolutely kick the **** out of some of those little *****s we have in the dressing room.
-
The first goal was Gunn’s fault. Heads dropped when that went In. He’s poor and has been all season. Time for a change. I honestly don’t know the answer at CB. We played all 5 of them last night and still shipped 9.
-
If we want to stay up under all costs, big Sam is the only man that could sort this shower of **** out. I like Ralph, I don’t want him to go, but he needs help. His back room staff are a shambles, cheap and not fit for purpose. How Gunn continues to get a game, I’ll never know. To be honest, I don’t actually give a **** anymore. I hate the owner, don’t really like any of the players, think our fan base is a joke and to be honest I’m looking forward to relegation (it’s gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets any better btw).
-
You are correct. Just re-read and I misread first time round. Bit of a weird point to make though. It created atmosphere , but we don’t want it (obviously)... what is the point in the comment then
-
Just read the notes from their most recent meeting... looks like they’re suggesting, following the England game, that we start allowing away fans in home end. Can any add any clarity to this or is this a serious suggestion
-
And no money to fund him
-
Nothing at the moment, I believe... built a great rep at Leicester, lost it at Everton. Looking at his track record, I wouldn’t be disappointed with him to be honest. Happy to take everyone’s tenure at Everton with a pinch of salt as they’re a mess of a club with no real strategy.
-
What makes you think that, if kat didn’t have the money to support Cortese, Gao does?
-
Said it at the time (obviously got shot down by the likes of MLG), we should have signed Cahill. A leader at the back, would have significantly improved us. Honestly don’t know where we go from here
-
No presence as a keeper. Our back 4 are shakey enough, we need a keeper that will command his back 4, Gunn isn’t that man (and he’s simply not very good either). McCarthy has to start next game.
-
Keep him, clearly. Get rid of the clowns he has supporting him (Kelv, Fleming and Watson), get him some proper support. Back him in January (2 or 3 players)... or we go down.
-
Who would you take back and what would you pay for them?
SKD replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
Lovren - £10m Clyne - £5m Wanyama - £5-10m Morgan - £10-15m Lallana - £10m Pelle (is he even still playing?) - nothing Jay-Rod - £10-15m Chambers is awful. Cork massively overrated, always has been for some reason. Walcott past it, one trick pony. Tadic, shaw, Mane, VvD, ox etc all unrealistic -
One of those I had in mind.
