Doesn’t suit Ralph’s Style, at all. Can’t see it happening, not at £30m anyway.
-
Yeah that 5’9” Cannavaro was useless at CB.
-
But according to the stats..... Weird that his teammates so see him day in day out can’t see that he’s sh!te with no end product, like opta can. Glad Redmond has been rewarded for the hard work he put in over last Summer to come back from probably his lowest ever point as a footballer. Still a long way to go, but more of the same next season wouldn’t go a miss.
-
Last chance for Moi and Forster. Suspect it’s too late for Stephens. Clear that we will be going into next season playing 4222. Can’t see a win in this one, comfortable 2-0 West Ham.
-
Otherwise occupied today so Can’t make the game, anyone know if/how I can listen to Radio solent online via my Mobile?
-
Augustin is exactly what we need imo. Play off the shoulder, decent in front of goal and quick, would link well with Ings in a 4222, can possibly play out wide. Adams would be the better choice if we play 1 forward, which I’m not sure we will.
-
Imo next 2 games should be used to look at players who haven’t had much game time and that we might be thinking of shipping out. With that in mind, I wouldn’t be disappointed to see Forster, Gallagher, Moi get a game. Hopefully Lemina starts as well as he’s had very limited game time since injury.
-
I’d hate to be your gaffer if you think he’s been playing CM. Sherlock is correct, he’s been playing in a ‘AM’ role (similar to Redmond, however Redmond gets a bit further forward and has been playing a bit as a second striker). We usually set up as a 5-2-2-1 / 3-4-3.
-
Redmond in all competitions this year: 8 goals 6 assists JWP in all competitions this year: 7 goals (2 of which were free kicks) 4 assists Massive room for improvement in both, but Redmond has been by in far the better player this season and that’ll be reflected when he wins fans player of the season.
-
Massive summer and I think shipping players out will be just as hard, if not harder, than getting players in. For me, we need the below in: - Commanding leader at CB - defensive CM in the mould of Wanyama/Kante/fernandinho etc... someone to stop the counter attacks we can’t defend. - Goal scoring CF - RB - Winger (depending on Boufal) Outs - Forster or McCarthy. Preferably Forster but he’ll be harder to shift and we can’t afford to keep both - Hoedt - Cedric - Austin - Clasie - Carillo - Gallagher - Reed - Hesketh - Elyounoussi - Stephens - Romeu (if we can replace him) - Ings, if there is any way we can get out of that deal, which looks unlikely. I suspect a large % of the ours will be loans
-
Given his ability, attitude and amount we paid, he is probably up there as our worst ever signing. Absolute waste of space. I think we are going to struggle to get rid of him.
-
I think my understanding is just fine, pal. As proven today, Very very poor finisher. But let’s not take away from his allround play which has been very good, and as previously stated, our first choice CF atm... much better than ings (who also isn’t a great finisher fwiw).
-
Other than Austin and Ings, none....
-
His finishing is Sunday league level, pathetic for a Premier league and international striker on £50k a week... however, hats off, over the last month he has been outstanding in his build up play and generally outside the box. For me, our first choice CF atm.
-
Taking off long and leaving Redmond up top alone, offering nothing, cost us then as well. We’re simply not good enough in both boxes, that’s why we’re where we are. However, that point should be enough to secure safety now though.
-
 Despite him winning us the game Saturday and most likely to win our player of the year, You can’t help but dig at Redmond can you. Why don’t you like him, is it the colour of his skin?
-
Poch proving once again he’s one of the very best in the world
-
Can’t pick on PEH anymore, you’re turning you attention to Boufal?
-
I can’t even be arsed to put a logical response to this. You’ve lost the plot fella.
-
Stats don’t lie, you’re right. They also don’t paint a full picture, only watching the game does that. JWP is very much improved, he’s a work horse. I know who I’d rather defend against, and it’s not someone who’s willing to take me on and run in behind. You do realise that having players like Redmond, creates space for people like JWP, teams will single Redmond as a key player to how we play and often stick 2 men on him.
-
Glad to hear that a few victims got a kick-in last night. If you go in the home end of any club and can’t keep it shut, then that’s what you deserve. Although I am pleasantly surprised our mob didn’t welcome them in.
-
He’s got a weird agenda against Redmond. Clearly, until he went up top, Redmond was one of our best players (as he has been all season) and clearly the most creative we have in the side.
-
We were the better team until long went off, imo. Officials desperate for the victims to win the league aren’t they.
-
Spot on. As long as it’s nothing against the law, I.e racism or homophobic abuse then it’s fair game. Nothing personal, but if it gives us (as the home team) an advantage in a relegation battle, then fair game. The vermin that support them didn’t have second thoughts physically asulting and throwing objects at the City bus last year.
-
Carry on and Boo them and call them a ****** a few times then, that’ll learn em. I bet they’re ****ting themselves
