  1. That’s 3 or 4 of them, not 3 quarters
  2. Gunn Bednerak stephens Vest Cedric Romeu JWP Targett Sims Armstrong Redmond Would be my choice on what we have available.... what a pathetic team surely a contender for the weakest the PL has ever seen. Pointless playing long as he offers nothing, literally nothing. Only 3/4 of them up to PL standard the rest lower championship.
  3. It’s not really, we won’t be able to shift him. Likely to be another expensive signing out on loan

    Alex McCarthy

Sensible if you ask me. Pointless having 3 GK’s of very similar ability eating up a large chunk of of wage bill. Of the 3, Gunn is the best/potentially the best and McCarthy is easiest to shift. I think it’s clear from the summer that Forster isn’t going anywhere just yet. Not a great deal of difference between McCarthy and a fit and in form Forster imo.
  5. Fulham apparently in for Drinkwater, Cahill and Moses. Fair play if they pull it off, at least they are giving it a go and I think they’d keep them up. Time for us to twist or go down, imo. Need to back RH and bring in 3 or 4 good players. F uck this sell to buy, none of our players are good enough / attractive enough to get sold on. Early days yet but the lack of any real links is a concern.
  6. £ for £ has to be considered one of our best ever signings... up there with Lambert for me. All the best Davo, he’ll smash it up there with Rangers.
  7. Well clearly they would, which is why fans (and more importantly players...) at both us and Leicester have become disgruntled with Puel. With the benefit of hindsight, of course you’d prefer puel to MP or MH. The fact of the matter is 2 sets of fans have been “fallen out of love” with it after Puels reign and should he get another job in England (I suspect he will), it’ll happen again. A boring man, who plays boring football... not cut out for English football imo.
  8. Article loses all credibility when it puts Anfield 2nd. Having been to every single one of them grounds, Anfield is probably within the bottom 3, imo. This thread is a mess.
  9. Good player. Watched him whilst in Berlin last year, thought at the time he’d suit the PL. Looked like A more athletic/better Carrillo. Maybe one for the summer when we ship out 3/4 strikers
  10. 4/5 years ago he was unreal but the wrong move to Bayern and some illness (not sure what it was, but it was bad) have prevented him really kicking on and becoming a world beater, which he looked at 21. Dortmund have a lot of players in that position, I’m no sure how much of a game he’s getting but I’d file this one under unrealistic.
  11. I’d imagine that will mean Wilson will be off, if not now, in the summer.... a massive downgrade. Would Solanke improve our starting 11? Not sure he would to be honest.
  12. WTF is wrong with a large section of our fan base? Why do we attract complete and utter dinlos (which to me seems more than any other club)? In recent years We’ve had it all: The hat guy who thinks he’s Indiana Jones when he goes football, with the mars bar on his head. The face paint bloke in the EL That bloke dancing to the light show at West Ham And the worst of the lot for me, a number of grown men making shark signs last night. (Probably missed loads from this list) If these crimes were being committed by kids I could understand, but these are fully grown blokes (and other grown blokes laughing along). Of course they could have some sort of disability (maybe one or two have, which would be understandable, but unlikely they all do). What can we do to stamp this behaviour out? It’s getting worse. I can’t remember it being this bad in L1 and the championship, or was that due to less publicity / use of twitter etc.?
  13. Wanyama is a massive upgrade on Romeu. The only reason he fancies Romeu is because we have no other options in that role. PEH, ML and JWP are completely different players and are more box to box rather than holding.
  14. This. Nowhere near the level of Shaw in his break through season. Also, YV is very poor going forward. He looks better in a 3 where he has the protection of Bednerak (who has been brilliant recently, might I add), but has looked fragile when playing in a 4 (I.e Cardiff). He’ll be a good PL RB in the future and he’s still young and learning and that shows in his performances. For me, I’d stick with Cedric until the end of the season at the very least as he is by in large our best RB.
  15. Are you comparing JWP to MLT and Bergkamp The reality is the game has changed significantly since those 2 played in the PL, to play as a wide midfielder (which seems to be his position) you need to have the ability to beat a man and a turn of pace (especially in the way RH sets us up). Also, JWP doesn’t have half the ball control or creativity or vision of those 2 (or to play as an attacking midfielder/second striker), what they lacked in pace, they made up with other attributes. JWP, to date, has been a below average footballer struggling to break into an average team. If given the chance, it’s a massive game for him tonight. I hope he does well, but if he’s playing CM as a 2 we will struggle.
  16. Out: Davis Forster Gabbi Hodet In: CF Wanyama (soooo much better than Romeu and would offer great support to our fragile CB’s and his defensive ability would allow us to press as a unit). Winger, ideally someone with pace (if possible I’d recall Boufal, think he’d work well in RH system), possibly Sisto. Should Cedric go I’d have Clyne back, but I doubt the club would given his off field issues with the powder. A CB would also be nice, but I’d rather strengthen our CDM than at CB as I think Vest and Bednerak have potential.
  17. At this point all focus has to be on survival, then look to build and potentially go for a cup next season. Not sure we’ll win either games anyway, tbh.
  18. Not great by bednerak but **** me, dreadful from targett. He’s just stood and watched. To think we could have got 15m for that clown in the summer.
  19. Awful set of results for us at both ends of the table.
  20. Of course, but due to the pathetic start to our season the best we can hope for is mid table. I’m confident that under Ralph we are as good as safe and a win against West Ham would further that even more. The reality is, us not getting 3 points against one of the best 2 teams in the league isn’t going to define our season we’re going to finish mid-table regardless of the result Sunday, but if City go 9 points behind Liverpool that’ll be the title race all but over, imo. Support is probably the wrong choice of words. I won’t be actively supporting City and I of course would celebrate a win, but a it will certainly soften the blow if/when we lose which is always very likely outcome anyway. #greatergood As it happens I think we’ll get a draw on Sunday. Maybe it’s just me, but the thought of Liverpool winning the league is a scary one
  21. I always knew we had arguably the worst / most mongs fan base in the UK (only slightly ahead of the Americans in terms of cringe), but then I stumped across your twitter and I couldn’t believe what I was watching. People like you are what has ruined the experience of going to a modern day PL game, imo. Also, not sure why anyone would get enjoyment out of watching this nonsense either, but each to their own I suppose.
  22. Everton really are something else, aren’t they. With their win today they are now “the first English club to score 7,000 top flight goals”, and by looking at their twitter they’re adding that to the list of firsts (dug outs, flood lights etc). Nothing says mediocrity more than their pathetic list of first achievements. In other news I pray for a result against West Ham tomorrow so I can ‘support’ city come next Sunday... I don’t think I could cope with the victims winning the league this year (it’s looking very likely they will). God I hate that city/clubs from it.
  23. Need to get Romeu off and bring on Lemina, for me.
  24. Ffs another poor goal to concede. This will finish 2-2 now, late heartbreak coming
  25. SKD

    James Ward-Prowse

Not in the squad at all today... yet another manager who doesn’t fancy him? Time to cash in if we can find anyone foolish enough to put some money down for him
