Amazing how many dodgy VAR decisions go against us.

What relevance does tomorrows Palace game have in regard to our performance against West Ham? Why would losing to Palace make the performance we had on Boxing day any better or worse?

We're playing him on his weaker side. We're nerfing him for bang average Sugawara.

Normally I would say to respect the away point but draws won't help us gain any ground. I guess it's a small step closer to avoiding Derby's record.

I'm seeing all the same mistakes at the back from us but Villa seem vulnerable passing out as well. Our main issue is how pedestrian we play. We've won the ball back in good positions but too often our next pass is back to a defender. Those moments we have reached their box, we've lacked the quality and composure to even force a save. Conditions have been a bit of a leveller but we don't look like we're going to score.

We win the ball in the middle, recycle. They win the ball in the middle, fast counter attack. That's the difference.

From what I've seen, Edwards is both faster and better at passing than Wood is. I'm sensing a level of favouritism in choosing Wood over Edwards.
