Schlotterbeck is an excellent replacement but THB was an absolute beast for us under Eckert.

I was hoping for a better replacement for Ross Stewart to be honest. I think I'm just downhearted that our squad is weaker than last season.

It's a shame😂 I feel there's definitely an in-between though!

How many of you those 18 goals were scored by those I said were in our "strong starting 11"?

Looks like West Ham have now turned up.

It looks like if we're chasing a goal, our options from the bench are very limited.

Strong starting 11. Bench looks weak.

West Ham haven't turned up yet.

Didn't think there was much in that. A hand on the back shouldn't be taking down a 6ft 5 giant.

We managed it for 10 years. Brighton will match that benchmark if they stay up this season.

Jesus wept.

I don't think players give much credence to random comments online. They must get that all the time. I'm not sure Wade Garret has quite the same clout as Ryan Reynolds 😂

I've heard it pronounced both ways but presumably the club have asked the player how he wants it pronounced and they pronounce it the way he wants over the tannoy. Matsuki.mp4

Setting themselves up for a good thrashing 👍

Very well deserved. Always makes me nervous when our players are put on the world stage. I was very thankful the Larin deal was sorted before the world cup.

He had several seasons in La Liga I thought?

I don't think there's any truth to that.

Is violence and racism worse than spying? Of course it is. But the most important thing in the eyes of those in powerful positions is money which is why they'll treat an offense that throws the integrity of a result into doubt more seriously.

Agreed. The Bielsa case amounted to the exploitation of a regulatory loophole whereas the FA will consider Eckert's case a deliberate violation of rules put in place by the EFL. Also, the perceived severity of the EFL punishment on the club will be immaterial to the FA's personal charges against Eckert. Any collateral damage caused by the fallout will likely be considered irrelevant by the KC and two football "experts" chosen to decide a punishment. You can be pretty sure the FA will put forward the case that a severe precedent should be set.

Fernandes's reaction was embarrassing.

It's fine. Jander will be back before the international break! 🎉

I think some here are in for a nasty surprise if they're expecting him to only miss a handful of games.

I suspect a dirt cheap fee but a sky high sell-on percentage.

If they go down the caretaker route, I think Lallana would be a more likely candidate than JWP. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

Good goal to take the lead but we're losing the midfield battle at the moment.
