Interesting point about a lack of voices in teams willing to speak up. I always got the impression clubs of yesteryear had a manager as well as leaders within the playing squad that had the influence to impress onto the manager the sentiment and views of the team. That the playing squad had some influence on how they would like to play whereas now, it feels like players prefer to have their hands held and be told what to do. I can't imagine anyone in our squad going"wait a minute, is this really the way to win a football match?". I'm sure many of them have thought it though.

I wouldn't expect them to say anything else as professionals. Don't want to get on his bad side either given he picks the team.

I think most are resigned to sports republic sticking with Russell regardless of what happens. There's no doubt in my mind he'll relegate us.

He played left side but he wasn't instructed to hug the touchline. He can also play centrally which we haven't tried yet. If we utilise him properly, he'll score more than Armstrong.

Brereten-Diaz - 20 Premier League appearances 6 goals Armstrong - 74 Premier League appearances 4 goals I think BBD is far more likely to score goals at Prem level if we can find a way to utilise him properly.

Get Brereten-Diaz on. Hopefully he can get a goal and build some confidence. Far more likely to find form in the Prem than Armstrong is if he's properly utilised.

You don't have to participate if you don't want to but events such as these serve as a reminder of the sacrifices taken by those that came before us. Wars effect generations. People alive today grew up as orphans or with traumatised parents as a direct result of the war. I really don't like language like "poppy shite" it just shows a real lack of class and respect.
