The when will I receive my Pompey confirmation sweepstake
The9 replied to Clapham Saint's topic in The Saints
I pitched up to get my 2nd ballot tickets yesterday only to find that they still had the ones I got printed for me on Friday as WELL as the ones they processed as part of the en masse emailing process over the weekend. Unfortunately I wasn't able to blag that they weren't just duplicates (same 3 names and crucially the same bus) so I didn't get what would have effectively been 3 free tickets. -
Thanks to someone digging out the 100 things to do as a Saints fan post from Saints Forever, I was reminded of the wayback machine. Brilliantly there's a load of Saints Forever stuff archived in it : The old Stadium gallery : http://web.archive.org/web/20040404004325/http://www.saintsforever.com/stadium.html SF Front page from just after beating Man City at Eastlands in 2004 (under Sturrock) : http://web.archive.org/web/20040418020449/http://www.saintsforever.com/ The SF Forum index with a load of thread titles (looks pretty tame actually) : http://web.archive.org/web/20040326015626/http://saintschat.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/index.php Daren W's Beautiful South - specifically what he thinks of Hoddle coming back (have fun, Dalek) : http://web.archive.org/web/20040409094938/http://www.saintsforever.com/bs.html There must be loads more, it says there are 9,000+ URLs under the Forum ID alone - fill your boots.

I really hope Dalek reads Daren W's post about Hoddle coming back, here : http://web.archive.org/web/20040409094938/http://www.saintsforever.com/bs.html Starting to think this deserves it's own thread...

Thought we'd lost this forever too : Stadium building photos... http://web.archive.org/web/20040404004325/http://www.saintsforever.com/stadium.html

Oh my goodness me. SaintsForever front page after we'd beaten Man City 3-1 at Eastlands... http://web.archive.org/web/20040418020449/http://www.saintsforever.com/ and yes... there's a Forum front page linked from that. Currently checking to see if any actual threads (rather than just the titles on the Index page) show up.
-
If nothing else this thread has taught me that 1) People usually don't read or understand the OP. 2) If you want something done, do it yourself. It also makes me wonder if the actual SF Forum is in Wayback as well, there might be the chance to re-find some golden threads.

There were at least the 3 mentioned above.

I'm pretty sure I've only ever done one badge design (sent via PM), I stick to kits usually. Gecko likes a badge dabble though... I actually quite like our badge, unique and convoluted as it is. I hate all of these 1990-2010 reworkings, they're gash and transient. There's a lot to be said for tradition, and that's been the Saints badge in various forms since long before I was supporting them.

He kicked it very well considering the bounce.

Time To Drop Fox. Harding To Start V Skates?
The9 replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Me and you both. Gives us an attacking threat without getting too exposed and Richardson can make the Hardingesque runs for Lallana whilst Harding buys time for Fox to cross from higher up the field on the left, and his advanced position doesn't leave us exposed for a change. You would lose that Lallana - Harding understanding though. -
Disappointed to say that as one of his strongest supporters back in 2007, that I think Bart has been like this pretty much since then. He had some mares for Poland u-21s, looked a bit shaky in League One, and dropped the ball at the feet of Cox pre-season against West Brom unchallenged. I think his confidence is shot to pieces and has been for a while, I hope I'm wrong or that we don't have to test it this weekend. I've heard good things about Dovey, and there's a lot to be said for the naivety of youth in that kind of situation, kids generally don't appreciate the pressure there's meant to be as they have little to compare it with, but I can't say it's an experiment id like us to try out either way at Fratton.
-
No idea why people think they're stopping either, more likely the main Stadium buses hit the M27 and the Winch and Bursledon buses merge on the move, should be easy enough to time joining a 30-bus convoy, and the Bursledon site is near the junction anyway.

I was about to ask if this thread was from 2010... Anyone remember the massive scar Fonte left in the box when Hernandez scored for Man U? The topsoil replacement of summer 2010 doesn't seem to have gone as well as could have been expected.
-
Can't find the original message on the OS, I suspect it was casually mentioned within a different article.
-
I'll go for 8-2 to Saints. Just because it's unlikely.
-
I bloody hope not, just passing on what my wife's been told by her work colleague who is a steward...
-
Same amount of time as the last two times half our fans got there 20 minutes after kick off. Not going to happen, crush at the turnstiles (as in 2004) or not.
-
Was vaguely decent at Man City, lost his way for a couple of years, started scoring goals again for Sheffield United in League One. Sort of age we like, sort of problems we don't, but you never know...
-
I watched Granada v Villarreal earlier in the season and there were tickets for €35 available the day before. In fact... If it was £100 I just wouldn't go. £42 for enforced transport to Portsmouth and back is already pushing it.
-
Lambert's goal, it was going on target before the deflection. The Football League site is probably updated by a tortoise with an abacus based on previous experience.
-
But of course away games are more difficult to prepare for, so we're better off.
-
I'm quite pleased we've moved it, it gives us an extra day to prepare for the Brighton match.
-
Well you've got that bit right - the fact that they don't have a process in place to check whether people have already been allocated tickets is one of the most glaring oversights. I could crap a better business process than that lot have been using for this shambles.

I can't believe it, you mean the bribed drunks you'd hired let you down ?
