  1. Darren Moore, who would probably tell you he's "black".
  2. A similar thing happened to us at Fratton Station on the way to Withdean last season. Bunch o' mongs, about five 20 to 25 year old lads in the concourse, started quietly making snidey comments whilst we were getting a drink for the rest of the journey, then one of them "accidentally" blocked a doorway and pretended not to see my wife trying to walk through it, before doing w@nker signs as they were getting on their train with us still on the platform. How very grown up of them. Having said that, we'd already hung a Saints scarf on the Fratton sign.
  3. The only redeeming thing about this thread is the picture of the Pompey Urinal. Can we get a song sorted for all their non-existent ground plans? Something like "I went down to Gunwharf And this is what they said You won't find a ground here mate I think you're off your head. " "I went down to Farlington...." "I tried to turn the pitch around... " And finishwith "I went down to Fratton And this is what they said You won't find a ground here mate Cos Pompey's fuc-king dead" Then maybe "One Team in Hampshire ". I await your criticisms with vague disinterest. All my own work, 5am.
  4. Everything everyone else said. So, "no".
  5. By "anyone", I assume you actually mean "anyone who doesn't already have a ticket", given that everyone who actually has one at this stage would have applied weeks ago, long before the logistics of the Bursledon pick up were considered? I'm on coach 9 btw, how apt. Surprised there haven't been more people on here sharing that kind of dull info. Also, the default guff now says 11am not 12:15 which is far more sensible if equally as unconfirmed and based on not yet having had an email.
  6. There is another reason, which bizarrely has occurred to me at 4:25am. The Saints store hasn't had the white away socks in stock all season, no other team wears white Umbro socks with blue logos, and the only things close are Joe Hart's white Man C gk socks which don't have the logos on. So it could just be that Umbro don't have any. It's not unprecedented, the season we had the all charcoal away kit we ended up wearing red shorts and socks from February onwards as they'd apparently run out of kit. Mind you we were hurtling towards admin then, there's no excuse now.
  7. Oh bo11ocks, I knew I'd forget one.
  8. Calm, just can't be arsed to watch the whole boring argument unfold again.
  9. He definitely mentioned it at the last cosy sit-down chat dinner the had, but there's no planning application yet, as that website is public access. Plenty of stages before that. Just to save everyone the hassle... "super fans" "catchment area the size of England and some of Europe" "can't build on the Itchen" "£3000 per additional seat" "Markus Liebherr stadium" "playing computer games in your bedroom" "waiting list for season tickets" "MK Dons and Wolves have expanded" and so on and so forth.
  10. Not as pressing as the question "why did we and Burnley both wear white socks at Burnley?" or even the "will we wear the usual red socks with the home kit at Fratton and clash with the home side,or switch to the white away ones (which is the colour socks we wore as part of the home kit the last two times anyway) ?" I'm guessing the reason for the blue socks is that we wore them in the last away game we wore yellow in (at Derby, we'd only worn stripes since then), and the kitman forgot to put the white ones back in. Either that, or someone thought City still wore the white socks they had in 2009/10 (below) and 2006/7.

    Skates away

I've got a great idea, let's all leave really late and turn up half way through the first half. What ? It's been done twice before ? No reason not to do it again...
  12. Especially if sh!!tloads of money went on West Ham as a result.
  13. Er, wouldn't him being a poor kicker be a much bigger problem with short passing too ?

    Chaplow

Won't be making the Fratton game then, he must be gutted.
  15. From the beginning of last season until recently he's worn Nike CTR 360 Maestri II, (either white/blue, white/yellow or charcoal/white) which were the same boots as Lambert is still wearing. Lambert's are the white/yellow. He was wearing the charcoal/white ones against Brighton - though this pic shows what seems to be a hard ground stud config, more like the sort of rubber stud sole you'd wear on rock hard ground - maybe it's due to the foot injury that he doesn't want any kind of stud pressure on his foot : However I just had a quick look at the BC gallery on the OS, and he had changed to the silver/orange Nike Total Laser IV, which are the same as Guly and Fonte, and these have the standard firm ground blade configuration - the others might have a different soleplate/stud configuration though. I'd also noticed him slipping a lot, but he's had two different pairs of boots on when doing it. It's probably just the time or year when the pitch softens underneath, allied to his frequent direction changes in dribbling.
  16. Happy enough to just have a debate about it - when the centre mid is packed with 3 opponents the preferred route has to be down the flanks - there shouldn't be much to stop a low ball from the full back, most likely up the wing. It can also depend on the height of the opposing midfielders - Brighton's were very short and we'd have had no problems kicking in the air even to the midfielders there.
  17. You mean December 26th, Christmas Day Bank Holiday ? The Boxing Day Bank Holiday is 27th.
  18. On The March.
  19. There's always the possibility we go a different route. The coaches from Fratton for the cup-tie came past the Chapel End of the ground first, which was hardly to be expected.
  20. We also caused the head injury to Steve Davis that is a significant contributing reason to why their season has gone to hell. With him they'd won 5, drawn 1, lost 3. Without him W1 D1 L5. Plus the draw against us.
  21. Reading away ? Burnley away ? Cardiff away ? Still, I'd have taken only 4 poor performances in 18 as well.
  22. Sports Science number 2 under Allardyce must be a hell of a gig, all credit to him.
  23. Amazing how many people haven't spotted this - I wouldn't be surprised if they get in the mix for the Play-offs, assuming they don't sell Fontaine and Maynard.
  24. Whether the usual lot are idiots or not, surely the point is that for this match everyone has to go by coach, so the "idiots" would be the whole fan base.
