  1. Only ran the 50 yards with the ball before hammering it into the bottom corner...
  2. F\/ck me, what an incredible goal by Stephens !
  3. Well that's 10 of them...
  4. Get in, lovely little short passing goal finished by Ward-Prowse !
  5. Here's the squad, if anyone wants to work out the Saints team - I've highlighted the ones I know are definitely playing : U18s squad: Mowthorpe, Britt, Colmer, Turnbull, Chambers, Young, Stephens, Ward-Prowse, Moore, Gape, Reed, Rowe, O'Sullivan, Mugabi, Bowman, McQueen, Curtis (on as sub), Ariybi (on as sub), Branker, Sinclair. Ariyibi's just come on.
  6. Joe Curtis on for Harrison Reed.
  7. Got a live link for the Carling Cup draw on Soccer Saturday if you want it too... http://adf.ly/2RRcX
  8. Woop woop 1-1
  9. Man U side (from RedCafe) is Jacob; Hendrie, Blackett, McCullough, Giverin; Gorre, Rudge, Weir, Barmby; Van Velzen, Byrne with Wilson on for Rudge already. Saints...?
  10. We're pretty much all over them with the exception of getting caught exposed at right back every so often... their keeper's having a blinder. Chambers has got some quick feet.
  11. Man U 1-0 up after og on 12 mins.

  13. Arsing hell. I guess they'll be getting tv money for the Europa League games to offset it. Can't watch it when I'm in Spain now. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2433451,00.html

If we're going to start complaining about teams "outmuscling us" financially, can I suggest we go back to being in League One ?
  15. Except that was a completely different division back then.
  16. Yeah, they hadn't sorted out the order of matches when I posted the groups earlier. Is 5 hours door to door to Braga's ground any worse than playing someone like Middlesbrough and going by road though ? Birmingham have the advantage of not usually having any "long" trips anyway, being in the middle of the country. It took us 8 hours to get to Blackpool one Friday night before Preston v Saints, it just depends how you schedule the journey - as an example, Birmingham could finish a match at 10pm CET, be back in a hotel in the Southampton area by 3am on the Friday and still have a day and a half to prepare.

If he's only as good as someone who isn't getting in the team there's no point in buying him. Which is why people keep saying "no better than what we've got". If he turns out to be a starter, great - but in that case he IS better than someone who isn't getting in the team. I seriously doubt we'll be buying anyone not to improve the team - or at the very least to add someone who can do things we don't have at this point.
  18. Braga's really not that far away. About a 3 hour flight and then an hour from Porto airport.
  19. Can someone tell me what the amazing coincidence is ?
  20. I honestly don't know why a club trying to build for the Premier League would sign a player who has been playing all of his football in League Two for the past 6 years, and before that scored precisely 5 goals in his one and only season at the heady heights of League One.

  22. Saturday on Soccer Saturday. Should I mention that this has already been asked as well ?
  23. Didn't look obviously, there have only been basically 5 threads getting updated on here all day.
  24. I suspect that might depend on whether Sky are willing to pay to show it on another date, and how much Birmingham want the free money.
  25. That's not what you said before ?
