It was pretty clear that even before Dan was out of immediate danger that the discussion was going this way, whether there were (and are) any facts or not. As I've already said, it was a general discussion about going out safely which was prompted by the incident, not a discussion about the incident itself - which I agree is pointless without the facts and I for one haven't participated in. That's also the only "sensitive" area of discussion around this. The opinion-driven discussion of the rights and wrongs of going out as a normal person, never mind a recognisable public person, is still going on, and plenty of other people don't see it as inappropriate either. Pretty sure if the outcome had been worse people would have appropriately left the thread alone for condolences.

Charging up payment cards which you can't use elsewhere, can't check the balance of, and can't get any credit back from, is just another way to get hugely ripped off by the club without knowing. Quite a few German clubs have tried it to various complaints. To be honest I wouldn't want to present such an easy opportunity for our non-fan focused money-making machine to exploit me further, so that would probably just lead to me stopping buying stuff at matches altogether, just like the car park charge has stopped me popping into the club shop to see if there's anything decent in.

The squad photo being done on Thursday and featuring everyone except Forecast (who was there nevertheless) is some kind of sign that we're not missing anyone to international duty.

Every grouping is based on shared characteristics, that's not the problem with pigeon-holing. If you're actually a smart-arse, being called a smart-arse isn't the problem, it's people assuming that everything you say is smart-arse response when it isn't. As I've said "people with simplistic responses to EVERY issue" I'm only referring to people who are actually doing that all the time, not people who are providing a complex well-thought out reply which people are merely reading as a stupid comment. Obviously there's an element of judgement, but there's a pretty big gap between the stuff like "U R A DIK LOL" and three paragraphs debating every nuance of a topic.

Leigh Griffiths is at Hibs. Sanchez Watt is a left footed winger, currently still at Arsenal. Not sure how we'd use him in the current squad, to be honest. 1 goal in 22 at Leeds last year suggests he's not a striker.

Where did it say he was conscious ? Not in the OS statement.

I'm not sure we can make any assumptions, not knowing how the head trauma manifested itself. Could just be a big bump that ko'd him with no lasting damage, or something much more serious that they've managed to control but will have an impact. I don't think we're in Jeff Astle heading a wet leather ball for 25 years territory any more either, the balls are a lot lighter than they used to be, and there are already a few players with head protectors due to previous injuries, like Cech and Chivu.

I think the words "not life threatening" are about as much as anyone wanted to know at this point.
