    Be honest...

I was just a bit annoyed at 2-3, but fair dos, they are not the Saints we are used to.
  2. He likes short shorts.
  3. It was on something like page 9 of the search results I saw.
  4. Weren't we about 8/1 for promotion (rather than title winners) at the start of the season? I know we were only about 16s to win the thing, but "promotion" is more than twice as likely than title winners.
  5. I had us down for one win one draw and a defeat, so we're 5 points ahead of my expectations.
  6. Yep, just checked eBay, there are two sash shirts - one Lallana matchworn at £150 and one signed shirt. As the club never dropped the price it's unlikely that shirt will appear on there for a while, because they never gave people the opportunity to go and buy loads in bulk at discount to flog on.
  7. You'll be lucky to find one on eBay, Saints don't have any in stock any more or failing that, I'm sure someone will be on here to point you at their Matchworn shirts website sooner or later... So Google that, I think it's matchworn.org but may be wrong.
  8. I'd take 6th if we're playing like this, cos we'd p155 the playoffs. . Sounded very much like we did what we did at Barnsley but had people making those runs past the back line... My prediction was a cautious 7th, mainly because when I said "we're serious play-off contenders" when we signed Cork and De Ridder, people went a bit defensive. Happy to settle for about 4th or 5th realistically, there is a LONG way to go, and we did already beat Ipswich in the cup recently, so I guess I'm still waiting for us to get tested.
  9. The bit where no-one outside League One noticed. Just like no-one outside the Championship will notice now. For a few weeks, anyway. How gutted am I that I will only see us play at home once before October ?!
  10. I'm pretty sure he said "they're". I'd like to take all the credit for Lambert scoring twice having said he did stuff all on Saturday
  11. You are hilarious : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7904327.stm
  12. Fewer. I haven't been on a bingo bus since I went to Fellows Park in 1980 as a 7 year old to see Newport County get out of the 4th Division against Walsall [video=youtube;2xlB8-yg_Nc] , but I hear parking at Fleming Park (for free) is now the done thing.
  13. Sounds like it was more worthy of a red card rather than a yellow, to be honest.
  14. Watching again I also enjoyed Vaz Te (I think ? - the number 18 anyway) running across to the linesman who had just given the corner and not even bothering to question him, as he knew it wasn't in.
  15. When you look that stupid to begin with I guess you have nothing to lose. What a pillock. Leapt the barrier, spun around, quickly spotted the ball 5 yards from him and 10 from the back of the net going out for a corner, looked back at the thousands of his fellow Barnsley fans stopping celebrating and presumably shaking their heads, and EVEN THEN still did another celebratory spin with his arms in the air.
  16. I've said it before and I'll say it again, those Team of the Week things bear absolutely no resemblance to the best XI performers in their respective positions on any given weekend. For a start it was completely impossible for any Championship midfielder (other than possibly Cork) to have played better than Lallana did on Saturday. He was stupendous. In addition, players who've played averagely but scored somehow pop up onto the list with ridiculous frequency. It's just a contrived list probably drawn from hacks and lazy reporting, lobbed into a blender with a pinch of politics, and as such is utterly worthless. What makes it worse is that the Texaco Fantas Football, which actually has it's own scoring system from which a genuine measure of performance can be gleaned (albeit only based on goals assists and clean sheets - which this week would also have seen Lallana omitted), instead chooses to link to this crap.
  17. Just for the record, it was Lambert who cleared the ball off the line - you can see it nicely here (and also the nobber jumping the barrier to celebrate). If you follow him around for a few seconds he EVENTUALLY turns to show his number 7 clearly enough that you can tell it's not a "2". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFB4weM_co4&feature=player_embedded My favourite thing about this is the ball going out for a corner. You can't claim the ball is over the line when it would have had to have passed through the goalpost or net to go out for a corner if it was already behind the line !

I also thought this, hence posting it on his FB wall. Missed opportunity with the t-shirts though.

There are at least two about honest hard working players. They'd sell more of those t-shirts in red and white.

About 50 clicks in and no mention, then suddenly up it popped. I was relieved. The wheels are in motion and everyone wants to be on the bus. Surprised there's no "Can they keep up?" on there to please the Brighton fans though.
  21. Tune In Radio definitely doesn't work for ANY of the BBC local radio stations - it's because the BBC have the radio broadcast rights but not the internet broadcast rights. As is said above, the streams Tune-In picks up are the same as the local radio streaming, which cuts out to a message saying something like "we cannot bring you this programme...". I had particular fun discovering this when we played Dag & Red away last season, as there was no radio in the house at the time. We have since bought a DAB Radio, and now all I have to get p155ed off about is Pompey being on Digital whilst Saints are still on FM - though that works out better in the car anyway.
  22. Is that to Agadoo ? If so there should be hand gestures. Maybe a finger wag...?
  23. I would actually enjoy singing that quite a lot, and I would suggest he'd find it funny as well. May be a bit beyond a few of our usual singers though.
  24. Absolutely a hindrance to a team with at least 11 fully competent subs, we had this discussion when the decision was first made. It's fairly surprising that they would actually have gone to 7 subs in the first place, no doubt prompted by FIFA's "entire squad named as subs" ruling from the World Cup, but to do it and then pull back from it when it was clearly working is staggering. About the only justification for it is that some teams can't afford to put that many players on the bench, but no-one is making them do that anyway, and they can throw a couple of kids on there to make up the numbers if they really want to. For those arguing that it's harming players to be sat on the bench and not playing for the reserves / development side, I say that it's for the club to decide how best to develop their players. I can see it being detrimental to fringe players with a single fixed position, but more tactically flexible fringe players will benefit by being able to cover more than one position. Teams coped back when there were no subs and then only one or two, provided the unfairness of playing shorthanded due to injuries is addressed and its the same for everyone, I'm not really that bothered.
