  1. Even mine from the Forum match had my actual surname on it. Pretty sure OohTerryHurlock's didn't though
  2. Then again, after Lee Clark running onto the pitch mimicking Poyet's card waving and Brighton's time-wasting at the Galpharm (sound familiar?) I'm sure they have more recent issues.
  3. Yeah, but at the time he was in 10 yards of space and the pass was aimed 20 yards from the nearest teammate! Other than that though, he was superb, won everything, and "everything" was a lot of stuff in the air on Saturday.
  4. Yeah, annoyingly without unveiling their new shirts yet.
  5. Funny that, because I think sacking him, then waiting weeks to replace him, is what actually cost us the title.
  6. Yeah, we had the Sweden away kit on the other kit thread along with the new Sunderland kit. If it hadn't been for the OP comments I'd have expected something like that too, but I think we'll be getting something plain - possibly with an ugly clashing sponsor logo in red!
  7. I'd say because the sash isn't wide enough for the logo to be big enough - IF the arc underneath it is included. The initial post says the kit is a "Brazil style" yellow with blue, given that the current V-neck Wales and Swansea shirts (amongst others) have a single stripe down the sleeve I wouldn't be surprised to see a plain yellow with single blue stripe down the sleeve. I'm not doing the red panel because... well, basically why would it be a red panel, which makes for all kinds of colour matching problems compared to a white panel, especially when the sponsor's colours are red on white.
  8. FWIW as the aap3 corporate colours are a darker red than the usual colour of Saints shirts, I've left the sponsor in black as it's a stronger contrast - the "two shades" of red doesn't look very good.
  9. Problem of course is that the kit usually gets picked before a new sponsor is agreed - and we usually have stripes which are difficult to build a sponsor into afterwards. It's not such an issue for plain shirts. James has also illustrated the problem with a normal sponsor on a sash kit too, which is that you can't really overlay anything - you either have to break the sash or somehow print across seams...
  10. Nice stuff jamesfp1 ! I've tweaked the sponsor - and managed to find at least one way it doesn't look utterly terrible to have a box on it : (3) is my favourite... (1)(2) (3)(4) Not sure I'm so keen on that 2005 Chelsea (black and silver) away kit template up there though !
  11. Tell me about it - they've got quite a narrow logo so a big area of white around each character would work really well to make it stand out better (like with the Friends Provident logos after we moved to St Mary's), but on a big white rectangle it will just look cack.
  12. YOU look like a cock.
  13. A few things : 1) It's got an horrific panel, as described - this COULD also reach right across the stripes. 2) Collar is predominantly black, as described (and based on the Cosmos template) 3) Collar has a contrast colour around the outside which I suppose could be white or red - I've used red here. 4) Still using the same bog standard stripe template from 2010/11 which is looking less likely by the second, because that collar is definitely a 2011/12 design. Red central stripe for now... 5) If anyone's interested, New York Cosmos aren't even in MLS yet, and when they are, the league has an adidas deal anyway so God knows what Umbro are up to ! 6) I'm going to Asda in a minute so can't give you the options above yet. 7) Have used black cuffs like the Cosmos kit, strangely they don't seem to have the contrast colour like the collar.
  14. Just doing it.
  15. The black you have used on the collar will be a bit thicker I think and not come so far down the shirt and pointy at the end - think of a very short tie! Funnily enough I did consider doing one with the collar pieces in two different colours - but I think what you've just described is the collar on the New York Cosmos home shirt as opposed to the England kit ?
  16. O RLY ? The England kit one ? Black ? God I hope we don't end up with some wussy design element like those bloody multi-coloured crosses on the England shirt shoulders.

Also, I missed the bit where we actually got to pick the team. Dammit, I could have dropped Lambert for the last three games... when he's been much improved
  18. On the bright side, Saints are now guaranteed to finish at least 9th.
  19. I think he only read the first half of the sentence, or was agreeing with you.
  20. On average. Ish. But your point *is* sound, as they're almost certainly not going to overturn a 15 goal GD deficit AND be in a situation where they need GD as a tie-breaker with us. If they overcome a 15 goal swing, they're going to already be comfortably above us, the only exception being if they somehow rack up a couple of huge wins or we suffer some huge defeats (about 7 goals) and slightly outperform us goalwise but not pointswise in the other games.
  21. We've achieved what we have [a strong position with 6 matches left at the moment and nothing more] despite some significant injuries AND a backlog of fixtures and that has to be taken into consideration. The use of Gobern in the last few weeks has been inspired, that ridiculous tackle at Bournemouth aside he's not cost us anything and given some of the worn-out midfield the chance of a rest. Look at the last few matches alone for where the manager has made significant decisions to our benefit * Ending Saturday with 4 centre backs across the back to counter Butterfield's problems and Orient's limited second half aerial attack. * Not needing to play Lallana so he's more likely to be fit if we need him desperately, but having him on the bench just in case. * Dickson's inspired performances on returning to the team in the last two matches v Charlton and at Orient at left back and left mid. * Sticking with Jaidi despite the worries he couldn't play two games a week * Leaving Chaplow out when he could, who has come back from that short shock already better than he was a few weeks ago * Using Forte when he did and where he did against MK, to the tune of two goals * No longer auto-subbing Barnard (who if nothing else proved on Sat he has the engine to run for the full 90) * Gambling on Hammond not getting booked on Saturday, risking a 2 match ban Everything he's done in the past 2 and a half games has worked out brilliantly for us and got us 9 points - at a time when we've lost starters Chamberlain, Lallana and Stephens from the midfield, and Harding and Richardson are both suffering niggles and have also missed matches, with Hammond walking a disciplinary tightrope and Chaplow WAY out of form.
  22. I can kind of see where you're going with it, part of the drop off is down to the downright unlikelihood of teams achieving certain points totals (mostly due to having to draw exactly two games) ? I think...
  23. I'm sure this is unverifiable gash, for a start we had that kit the season before relegation as well and we were fine, and we have plain sleeves this season and seem to be doing alright...
  24. I tidied it up and moved the logos, damn your rapid quoting! I don't actually like it much, at least the Patrick kit gave a nod to stripes with the white side bits. Oh, and the red St George's Cross over stripes thing was done by Brentford a few years back when they were sponsored by St George, funnily enough. Wouldn't we be more likely to have a white cross on a red background now?
  25. This is the version of the Gecko kit I've quickly done based on the current Hearts Umbro kit, which is based on the "Winchester" Umbro teamwear style :
