Haven't had time to do either yet, not even tweak the ingame sound (which I did suggest somewhere above), figured people with more time will be able to do those kind of things once they have the basic files...

Let me know if you can actually hear them, the game does blend them VERY subtly into the crowd noise - not sure how long the clips play for either, it might fade some out, would annoy me on the slow OWTSGMI, but at least it's realistic.

Too late, I'm married. To a girl, too. As for "that many songs", 21 unique songs (rather than duplicates or different versions) which are Southampton Til I Die If You Really F'cking Hate Them Clap Your Hands Rickie Lambert Southampton's Goal Machine When I Was Just A Little Boy, I asked my mother... (Wash Your Mouth) Nigel Adkins' Red and White_Army By Far The Greatest Team Lee Barnard, Barnard (Clapclapclapclapclapclapclapclapclap) The Saints Coooooome Onnnnnnn Youuuuuuuu Reds Jose Fonte Baby Adam Lallana (Clapclapclapclapclap) Adam Lallana Makes_Messi look sh*te We Love Southampton We Do Nah-nah-nah-nah F*ck Off Pompeys Going Down with no money in the bank Oh When The Saints (slow version into fast, fast version, clappy version) Red and White Barmy Army Sit Down Shut Up Southampton Boys Are In Town... we all follow Southampton Who Are Ya ? Who The F'cking Hell Are You ? Notable absentees: "We're the Northam" (because I hate it), "If You all hate Pompey clap your hands" (cos I only caught the end of it), "Pompey Fan Upon A String" (not sung and I wouldn't have recorded it anyway) "The Pompey Family" (not sung since 2006) "Adam Lallana la-la-la-la-laah" song, (not sung cos my mate Stephen wasn't around) "Deano Deano" (only sung at the end when I was leaving) "Super Kelvin Davis" (not sung - he didn't have anything to do) "Woolston Ferry" (see Adam Lallana la-la-la-la-laah) and many many more
  4. He was a good player for us, and as it turned out, a good sale as well. We don't need anyone else in his position at the moment, never mind him. As for getting Poolis in return, erm... can't make an omelette without breaking eggs ? :/

Oh and Saints_Clap_Your_Hands__18_.mp3 and Saints_Southampton_Til_I_Di.mp3 are duplicates, rather than just different versions of the same song. Sorry 'bout that !

And just cos I'm all lovely and stuff, here's a list of the files (with a few "errors" just so I can confirm they're my originals if they go all over the shop) : Use one of the "Cheer" ones for your "Goal" playlist if you don't want crappy music instead - Pt 2 is 4 seconds and the Goal Cheer one 14... I also use "We love Southampton" for a win and "Southampton til I die" when we lose, but you can barely hear them so music might be better for those particular playlists. And take the two "cheer" files out of the main "chants" playlist when you create it, unless of course you want a random in-match roar. The Saints are Coming by U2/Green Day which I happened to have on my PC doesn't appear to have been uploaded (because I didn't have to convert it from w4a). You can get that from anywhere though, or Sandstorm by Darude, if you want to go retro Prem relegation season... etc. Saints_Southampton_Til_I_Di_1.mp3 Saints_Clap_Your_Hands__18_.mp3 Saints_Lambert_Longer.mp3 Saints_Lambert.mp3 Saints_Wash_Your_Mouth.mp3 Saints_Adkins_RW_Army_Fast.mp3 Saints_By_Far_The_Greatest_1.mp3 Saints_Adkins_RW_Army.mp3 Saints_Barnard_Lampard.mp3 Saints_Clap_-_The_Saints__Q.mp3 Saints_By_Far_the_Greatest_2.mp3 Saints_By_Far_the_Greatest.mp3 Saints_COYR_twice.mp3 Saints_Goal_Cheer.mp3 Saints_Jose_Fonte_Baby.mp3 Saints_Goal_Cheer_Pt_2.mp3 Saints_Lallana_Clap.mp3 Saints_Lambert_Lalalala.mp3 Saints_Lallana_Messi.mp3 Saints_Lambert_once.mp3 Saints_Love_Southampton_We_1.mp3 Saints_Love_Southampton_We.mp3 Saints_Nah_Fk_Off__18_.mp3 Saints_OWTS_Fast_Clap.mp3 Saints_OWTSGMI_Slow_fast__Q.mp3 Saints_Pompeys_Going_Down.mp3 Saints_Really_Fing_Hate_The.mp3 Saints_OWTSGMI_Slow-Fast_Lo.mp3 Saints_RW_Barmy_Army__Q_.mp3 Saints_Sit_Down_Shut_Up.mp3 Saints_Soton_Boys_Quiet.mp3 Saints_Clap_Your_Hands__18_.mp3 Saints_Southampton_Til_I_Di.mp3 Saints_Wash_Your_Mouth_AFCB.mp3 Saints_We_All_Follow__Fades.mp3 Saints_Who_Are_Ya.mp3 Saints_Who_Are_Ya_Clearer.mp3 Who_The_Fking_Hell_Are_You.mp3

And seeing as its out there - here's a repost of the instructions Just stick them on USB in the PS3, if you have one of those... Or for 360 users : either burn them to a music CD using iTunes, put it in the 360 and put them into Playlists on the Xbox360 when you've ripped them all to the HD (probably the easiest way, and you're not reliant on streaming)... or you can create and add playlists to Windows Media Player on your PC (have one for each of Saints Entrance Music, Chants, Winning, Losing and Goals) and stream them to the 360 if you've got that set up. Then on FIFA you go to "My FIFA11", something like "My Chants..." and allocate the playlist to the appropriate folder [for that specific event only], and save. You might also want to add them to your Virtual Pro settings too, assuming you play with Saints, mine wasn't working at first, then I realised my Virtual Pro was playing and I hadn't set that up, only for Saints matches. Worth changing the in-game sound settings too, to amp up crowd noise in relation to all the other sounds too, because the chants come through FAR too subtly otherwise, sometimes you can barely hear the songs, and I assure you the recordings were pretty loud.

I originally uploaded the 38 files individually with a bulk uploader, this time I've uploaded one file, zipped with the 38 files inside. So hopefully the only limit will be on the number of people who can d/l it (I suspect it is 10), or the time it will be hosted and then I can always re-share it or others can add it.

Well, it won't let me d/l it from my own account, but as long as it works for everyone else !!! Download not available The following download is not available: http://rapidshare.com/files/423652377/Saints_Upload_Sounds.rar5345 KB The file of the above link no longer exists. This could be for several reasons: The uploader deleted the file The file contained illegal contents and was deleted from our Abuse team The file is incorrect The server is busy and can not process the request. RapidPro expired. I wonder if there's a one-download at a time limit or something ? It's a free service after all...

Try this : http://rapidshare.com/files/423652377/Saints_Upload_Sounds.rar 38 Saints sound files - if you can d/l it !

    Fifa 11

As I may have already mentioned in post #188, if I use the bulk uploader it prevents anyone from downloading the files, even for free - it just said the d/l limit was reached on the first d/l. And I'm not prepared to upload 38 files manually, so that's a bit of a shame. Here's the URL for one I prepared earlier, pretty sure it won't work, but tell me if it does... http://rapidshare.com/files/423439679/20100810_Saints_Clap_Your_Hands__18_.mp3 Next up, will try and zip the files into WinRAR so it only counts as one file and see if that works...

I've only had one freeze of the console so far, a huge improvement on FIFA10, which used to freeze my first match on Be A Pro after loading EVERY SINGLE TIME, to the extent that I used to write it off as "practice" and wait for the inevitable reload after a while. Still waiting for someone to suggest a server to allow me to share these Saints audio mp3 files for free... I can't be bothered to stick them on CD etc.

It's easy enough, the chants do have to be LOUD though. Baj, my virtual pro is still gaining points and unlocking things, I have only used it in a couple of friendlies and the Arena so far and I can now untuck my shirt...

Anyone know of a decent FREE file sharing programme which allows bulk uploads AND more than 10 downloads in total ? Just tried rapidshare but bulk uploaded and it prevents downloads then !! I have 38 Saints sound files, inc "The Saints Are Coming", the goal cheer from Lambert's first pen on Saturday and 35 assorted versions of various chants.

Here's my guide for getting chants into the game off the iPhone if you happen to have used it last Saturday to record Saints fans just on the off chance... The files are m4a, but you can convert them to mp3 in iTunes to do it - first go into Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings and change the setting to mp3. Then you can choose any iTunes files (inc the m4a voice files I'd saved) and right click and there's a "Convert to mp3" setting - you can select multiple files too. Once that's done, check the "recently added" playlist and the bottom ones are the mp3 versions of the chants. You can then be all smug and just stick them on USB in the PS3, if you have one of those . Or, for 360 users : either burn them to a music CD using iTunes, put it in the 360 and put them into Playlists on the Xbox360 when you've ripped them all to the HD (probably the easiest way, and you're not reliant on streaming)... or you can create and add playlists to Windows Media Player on your PC (have one for each of Saints Entrance Music, Chants, Winning, Losing and Goals) and stream them to the 360 if you've got that set up. Worth changing the in-game sound settings too, to amp up crowd noise in relation to all the other sounds too, because the chants come through FAR too subtly otherwise, sometimes you can barely hear the songs, and I assure you the recordings were pretty loud. I'll have a look to see if I can get my files uploaded for y'all...
  16. Just for the record there was a job advertised for Events Manager / Corporate Hospitality Manager on the Saints OS a few weeks back, one of the roles was co-ordinating the matchday screen coverage, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are changes and new ideas being put in place. They could start by getting the screen resolution to fit though, the names of the subs were half hidden off the screen for the AFCB match.
  17. I couldn't care less if some whiny footballers would rather laze about than do what it takes to win matches.
  18. Hm, I don't share your over-enthusiastic appraisal of our central midfielders, partially because I've only seen them do it in one match this season so far (Saturday - but I've not been away yet), and partially because IMHO they weren't doing any of the things you said about a war of attrition last season, and I think were doing exactly what you've credited Adkins for bringing in for most of last season already - which is why we were successful. All Adkins has done so far is got them to realise that if you don't try hard enough you don't win matches by default - but that is, of course, the toughest thing to get players to do when they cross the line and become out of your control. They already had all the necessary tools, it's only ever been motivation that's lacking. Having Lallana back as an option doesn't hurt either.
  19. I have to say I don't think this Forum's got less interesting due to the moderating either, it's got less interesting because we have fewer people interested in Saints to begin with, and most of the ones left are battle-scarred and come with a lot of baggage from previous arguments (I'm not going to call them debates) which those not interested in discussion are happy to jump on the first opportunity they get. And there are a LOT of people with nothing better to do than drag stuff down. The really weird bit for me was back in the S4E days I lived on the stupid forums* and rarely went on the Main "Bored", on TSW it was about 50/50, and now I'm rarely on the non-footy forums at all. I suspect this is because the in-jokes left me behind, but also because there are just so many pure idiots with few redeeming features on here to begin with drowning out the informed discussion. The era of witty banter is dead, long live trolling and pointless abuse. * sorry, dumbed down "fora", couldn't be bothered to explain it.
  20. Why mis-spell grammar to make a joke about speeling ? I'll mod if I'm paid a massive salary, f'sure.
  21. As a manager you have to instill disclipline at every turn, and not wasting energy and time debating bad decisions and getting suspended or sent off as a result of it is part of that. I don't necessarily see how him stating the ref got 2 decisions wrong in a measured way with the benefit of video evidence is disrespectful anyway. If he got the decisions wrong, he got them wrong. Of course I can't remember the incidents anyway, so he might have been putting on a front, but it doesn't mean he wasn't respectful of the referee's position.
  22. His job is easy as long as he can get the players running around a lot with and without the ball. As I've been pointing out for about 6 weeks, we'd been playing stand-still football at a snail's pace (except Ox-Cham), and teams had time to get organised and were easily able to stop us. What I hadn't really noticed was how little we were working in front of the back 4, but Saturday's performance saw Schneiderlin and Hammond re-energised (and Chaplow showed the right amount of effort too). Schneiderlin always comes back from France duty playing at a much higher tempo anyway, so that should help.
  23. Not to mention that we'd already splashed money about to get the team off the bottom the previous season very successfully and were odds-on favourites for promotion so there wasn't much that needed spending anyway.
  24. He says exactly what I'd say in interviews, so that's nice. Having only seen us at home so far, the jury's out on the whole motivation thing, as anyone can claim the AFCB game could mean something (even if we're not all that bothered), and that was the minimum I'd have expected for even a plastic derby match. Specific things I've liked so far : 1) Sensible use of Chamberlain (left out to allow the more defensive Puncheon to help negate AFCB's main weapon and best player so far Pugh on Saturday, brought on when there was space to exploit). 2) His ability to identify a flaw in the gameplan and work on it (don't tell me they haven't been coaching Puncheon on moving the ball on immediately after he did every time he got it on Saturday, and it meant we were attacking a disorganised defence rather than an organised back 10). 3) His ability to sneak tactical trends like "inverted wingers" and "false nine" / 4-6-0 formations past the man in his seat without it becoming a big deal. Both Puncheon and Lallana could have played on opposite wings just as well, and the last 10 minutes with Guly as a focal point for a 4-6-0 / 4-5-1 was just what we needed to see out the game at 2-0 up. 4) Most of all though, the balls to substitute Lambert and the luck to have Lallana back so quickly. Oh, and seeing as I've just seen it, I don't think I agree with derry on anything about Pardew, especially the cobblers about us "playing narrow through the mud" when our usual plan was to get the ball wide at all times and cross to Lambert / Hammond coming in late.
