http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9092349.stm Assuming you're in the UK.

Also, I think I'd rather be banned than have those robbing fckers take £40 from my account every year whether I want it to happen or not. Happened on Monday, FWIW.

Why has no-one said "it's the laser" yet ? PS2s used to have loads of laser just stopping working problems, no reason to think MS wouldn't have the same issues, they're all using someone else's parts for it.
-
FFS, player not in team unhappy about it un-shock. In tomorrow's startling insight, there's a rumour next season's kit might be red and white.
-
If it wasn't for Ox-Cham being better, that would have been a bit of an oversight.
-
You used to be able to get them chipped to play any region disks - I had mine done in order to play Winning Eleven PS2 games from Japan, but not sure anyone would still remember how to do that / bother to advertise it. There was also a method of opening the disk tray and fooling the PS2 into thinking it was playing a UK game by switching the game, "swap disk" or something.

The usual nonsense about managers spending money - so Adkins would have been this successful this quickly if we had the side Pardew inherited rather than the one he left, would he ? Of course not, so why try and claim that Adkins isn't also benefiting from Pardew's good transfer judgement last season in building a strong core of players for this league. Adkins has reinvigorated them after a shaky start which Pardew was already turning around, based on his last result. Pretty much the same squad already did pretty much the same thing last season - but of course that doesn't suit your Pardew slagging agenda.
-
Give it a rest, you're just drawing attention to something that hasn't even happened recently in order to complain about it.

God this is tedious. Cortese hasn't actually said or done anything obviously good or bad for at least a month, so can we just get on with winning matches for a bit and save the pointless arguing for when he actually might have done something ? Same principle applies to Dalek. At the point when Hoddle is actually linked with a job in English football again your angle might be almost slightly remotely tenuous to a discussion. Until then... guh. And as for raking over the pre-admin stuff, what's up with everyone ? Has the Gareth Bale sell-on clause thing got everyone narky again ? It's hardly new is it ?
-
You cannot underestimate the brilliance of whoever put together the timings of this deal. Getting Chaplow on the date we did specifically so that in the event that a trial first month was successful any extension would run out the day before the transfer window opens is genius. Very impressed with the planning that's gone into this.

Puncheon has significantly improved under Adkins already just from knowing when to play the ball quickly - though presumably since the last home game I saw him in he's had a couple of dodgy away games, hence getting dropped. He's still got a role in the middle if the current incumbents keep getting booked anyway.
-
Fair point on the injury front, but playing non-stop for 2 seasons didn't exactly damage Bale's career prospects, did it ? Having said that, I think we should use Ox-Cham sparingly for the moment, he is an "impact" player and he can't be expected to maintain last night's levels of achievement all of the time - his starts earlier this season were much less effective than his sub appearances.
-
Either that or someone who thinks Cortese's made enough questionable decisions that he needs to be checked on occasionally - neither mental nor silly - rather than blindly accepting everything he does, which might be. I'm optimistic up to the point that the club's future beyond this season is nothing like as assured as it was with Markus around, but even with that rider I think we've got enough to get to the Championship and stay up with the current squad, it'll only be if we need to push on from there that we might find problems.
-
Yes there was, and it was nonsense - "In 2009 people defaulted on the DD payments and we lost money". Yes, and we wouldn't want that to happen again - but that was the only time the club had EVER offered that payment option, and it was only due to the lateness of Administration ending. If the club had either announced the 2010/11 ST prices in March and therefore got the payments before the season started so no-one would have got tickets until they were paid for, OR announced an ST payment plan based on a credit agreement - as with the previous 10-ish years before the admin summer, then the same situation could not have occurred. This little fact seems to be overlooked in the complete lack of analysis of Cortese's "justification". It remains likely that the only reason for the ST plan removal was an attempt to make fans pay on a more expensive match-by-match basis (which is at odds with pretty much every other club's view of the importance of guaranteed ST revenues).

Yes, but I wasn't going to assume prior knowledge from anyone who didn't know the difference between a noun, "bias" and an adjective, "biased".

Until you get to the brick wall at Block 43/44... *I think*.
-
There's a set of corrugated metal shutters which are opened and closed depending on demand between Block 42 and 43, but that only allows access as far as Block 43 - and I *think* (can't remember) that's where the brick wall is, from memory - mainly because I don't recall any "shutter banging" at any matches other than Cup games where the away fans are across into Block 42, so there can't be shutters between Home 43 and Away 44 or it would happen every match.

Away 3-1 defeat (August) : Davis, Harding, Thomas, Perry ( Lancashire, 80 ) , Murty, James ( Thomson, 54 ) , Wotton, Schneiderlin ( Mellis, 54 ) , Lallana,Lambert , Rasiak Subs not used: Bialkowski, Paterson, Gobern, Saganowski Home 5-0 win (March) : Davis, Harding, Jaidi (Seaborne, 80 ) , Fonte, Otsemobor, Hammond, Puncheon, Schneiderlin, Lambert (Oxlade-Chamberlain, 86 ) , Lallana, Barnard (N'Diaye, 78 ) If you can't see the difference in class between the first team and the second, I don't think much of your footballing knowledge. Or are you saying you'd rather Thomas and Perry at centre back to Jaidi and Fonte; James and Wotton over Hammond and Puncheon, and a completely disinterested Rasiak ahead of Barnard ? Not to mention the bench, which in the first Huddersfield game brought us Lancashire, Jake Thomson and Mellis, and in the second match Seaborne, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Waigo. In fact the only "improvement" would be Murty ahead of Otsemobor, and that wasn't possible anyway due to Murty's injury. You don't half talk some crap sometimes, they ARE completely different sides - but of course it would only be the "Pardew lovers" who would think this in your World... If you were a defender right now you'd have your hand up apologising for your own goal.
-
You must have been watching a different match to me, we played almost everything up the wings on the deck or occasionally through the middle to Chaplow breaking from deep. There were about 3 crossfield passes and I can't even remember us hoofing it other than 3 or 4 clearances under pressure. It is a matter of time before Lambert gets dropped on his form of the last 3 months though, unless Adkins is leaving him in there to draw the defenders away from our players who actually do the damage. Dag&Red were pants but still nearly scored a couple of times, but we were comfortable from the first goal.

Never mind all that - I want to know if his wife's a bit of a goer ? Knowwworrimean ? Nudge nudge, wink wink say-no-mowah.

Thank you.

Just like Lloyd-Webber.

At the risk of (knowingly) wading into the irony argument, actually, that's "all that glisters...", it's a Shakespearian quote.

See below, funnier.
