  1. Nah, I've already deleted someone off my FB Friends list today for excessive thickie racist tendencies, I'm not in the mood... PS Marco can't spell "you're" LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
  2. I'd be inclined to go with Chaplow, gets forward, looks more threatening than Schneiderlin, works harder and gets back as well. As long as he's match fit he should start. Having said that Morgan always looks sharper after playing for France, so I guess it's just nice to have the choice.
  3. Actually I quite like Rob. PS I haven't read the rant, too many asterisks to take it seriously. I did see the bit about "not slating PES" - that's because I haven't played it so I'm in no position to comment. I can happily tell you lots of things that are wrong with FIFA11 though.
  4. There's more than one pub in Swindon as well, are you referring to the one in Southampton Street with the car park ? I was there for about 90 minutes and didn't hear it there either, and it was rammed with Saints fans.
  5. Saintsweb, the home of tired footballing cliches. Blah blah wet night in Rochdale, FFS. Have any of you seen the empty grounds second tier Italian sides often play in front of, or the monsoon-like weather they get there ?
  6. LOLz given that Marco swore blind that it felt like the ball was attached to your foot and PES was arcadey... spot the agenda !
  7. Only on FIFA11 - you can download them if you want a team of 55-65 rated players that by definition will get pwned by every other created side due to all the 99 players out there. Of course, if someone wants to buy me a PS3 and PES2011 I'll happily create them and their mates and a photorealistic kit, badge, league of generic drones for them to play against, etc. But for now, too skint to buy another football game so soon, and too much faffing to do the editing on the 360.

There are loads of players with international caps who've never played in the top league of their country, plenty for England alone. Walcott's 35 minutes as sub against Hungary before Germany 2006 set his international career back about 2 years, he didn't get another kick for England until summer 2008 and his first start for England came in Sep '09 (away to Andorra) which was nearly 3 years after his first start for Arsenal (v Watford in October 2006).
  9. Well it's certainly better than your kock and Guly song.
  10. Oh and while I think of it, all Rudi Skacel reject songs should be banned. The Ole one is decent, I like it best because it sums up how stereotypically just-not-English-Div 3 his footballing style is, by assigning a word usually associated with Spanish onto a Portuguese speaking bloke in a kind of rejoicing at his craziness kinda way. They'll be telling me it's "Josay Font" next and you don't pronounce the e at the end...
  11. It wasn't actually sung there though, which only underlines my point about being embarrassing and not catching on DUE to the songsheets but rather instead of. I know it wasn't sung at Swindon in the nice seats anyway . Also pretty unlikely any positive songs about Saints players would have been sung or caught on in a match so dire most of the Saints fans were only singing for substitutions to be made. Having said that I didn't go to Stockport or Charlton, but it didn't catch on at home until we played Yeovil on 19 Sep 09, which was SIX matches after Swindon. I think the "eyes rolling" songsheet home match was v Colchester, but you can always check the archive. Rest assured no-one was handing out songsheets at the match when St Marys actually sang it loudly for the first time.

Indeed : Games played by Chris Baird in 2002/2003 Goals Cards 22-03-2003 English Premier Southampton 2-2 Aston Villa 0 07-05-2003 English Premier Arsenal 6-1 Southampton 0 11-05-2003 English Premier Man City 0-1 Southampton 0 17-05-2003 English FA Cup Arsenal 1-0 Southampton 0 03-06-2003 International Italy 2-0 N Ireland 0 11-06-2003 European Championships N Ireland 0-0 Spain 0 However : Dinamo Tbilisi's 17-year-old Giorgi Makaridze has the odd distinction of making his international debut before he had even turned out for his club side. Georgia's third-choice goalkeeper started against Scotland in a Euro 2008 qualifier in October 2007 and kept a clean sheet. Oh yeah, and Ryan Green, Wales' youngest international before Lewin Nyatanga broke his record, also made his international debut before playing for his first club, Wolves. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Green. He has 2 caps in the '90s and is now playing for Hereford (who his dad Phil used to play for, IIRC). So Doble wouldn't even be the first Welsh player to do it in his own lifetime - without even getting into all the Cardiff City, Swansea and Wrexham U21 reserves that probably got matches for Wales on summer tours in the 90s. I'd love to see him get a game though, just to see a bit more of him play - they'll need his creativity against that dour Swiss side.
  13. I'm scared by how just plain wrong that is. He played in the same team as Stephen Crainey (yes I know he still does and they're somehow in the Prem), Calum Davenport, Olivier Bernard and Mikael Nilsson, all of whom weren't fit to lace Brett's boots, and he created shedloads of chances for us indirectly by shutting down defenders and forcing them to give us the ball in the attacking third. He was also a hell of a striker at this level.

    I'm on 360, guessing you're on PS3 ?
  15. Not true. In fact when they did it at one HOME game, lots of people looked suitably embarrassed at the "song sheet" and it took another couple of games for the song to get another airing.
  16. Generally as more goals are scored at the end of football matches and I'm in the Northam I'd rather we attacked the Northam in the second half. Beyond that I suspect it doesn't make a toss of difference and I couldn't care less about it.
  17. I am just amused at referring to former European Cup winners Steaua Bucharest, as a "no name European team". Lolz.
  18. He said "we got a little bit of luck" immediately after the match... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9052955.stm

All yours gents : Original File is here still : http://rapidshare.com/files/423652377/Saints_Upload_Sounds.rar (details above) New songs from today here : http://rapidshare.com/files/424086169/Saints_Upload_Songs_II.rar Details : 63 more Saints songs from today (though I'm not sure anyone needs 6 versions of "Clapclapclapclapclap... The Saints")... all songs or sound clips, two "specials" - one is a clipped to the chorus version of "The Saints Are Coming" which should work for the entrance music, the other is the actual post match music (EMF Unbelievable along with about 40 seconds of the crowd clapping and singing (We Love Southampton, Lee Lee Lee Barnard and a quiet Deano Deano). Other than those, 61 songs of varying quality, I've even caved in and introduced the (crap) versions from today of Pompey Fan on a String, The Pompey Family and (a quite good) We're The Northam. Plus we sang Le Tiss Le Tiss today too, and I've got it here ! Here's the list (the numbers are the time or parts of the time recorded) - new songs in bold : Your_Support_Is_F_n_Sh_15.mp3 What_the_Fcking_Hell_Was_T.mp3 We_re_The_Northam_16_10.mp3 Wash_Your_Mouth_Out__we_h.mp3 V_short_Adam_Lallana__16_.mp3 Stand_Up_15_39.mp3 Southerners_16_09.mp3 Southerners_15_06.mp3 Sh_t_On_Q_Longer_16_13.mp3 Sh_t_On_15_48.mp3 Red_Army_Q_14_59.mp3 Red_Army_15_02.mp3 Red_Army_14_57.mp3 Red_Army__Guly__16_22.mp3 Really_Fn_Hate_Them__15_4.mp3 RLSGM_Long_and_Loud_15_44.mp3 Quiet_Clapping_16_15.mp3 Post_Match_EMF_WeLoveSout.mp3 - This is the "Saints Win" file... 20. Any idiot could have managed this side to a couple of wins in this league - thanks to Cortese's actions we'll never know how well Pardew could have done, but the signs last season were enough for the bookies to make us odds-on for promotion. Which is not to say Adkins isn't doing well, just that Pardew might have been doing as well or better. Nice to see all the slowcoaches jumping on the Guly bandwagon as well, what did I say a month or so ago ? Something aong the lines of "He keeps making great runs, but no-one's seeing them to give the ball to him". All credit to him for adding workrate to his obvious ball skills and creativity.

    Injuries update

ONSLOW ROAD AND ST MARY'S ROAD ARE PUBLIC HIGHWAYS. Sorry, obviously a serious matter, just sods me off that they spend all that time and effort banging on about Northam Rd all the time. The bit walking away from St Mary's just before the Jury's Inn is much worse for traffic incidents, idiots hammering up the outside lane despite the red light, people coming out of the side roads and driving into crowds of walkers because they're fed up of waiting - at least on Northam Rd you can see the traffic well enough and it's bloody obvious there are vehicles about.

You're not wrong. I shall edit shortly. For the "Saints mp3 upload fans" on this thread, guess what, I've recorded a shiiiitload more (including such new classics as "Guly Guly Guly Guly" and "Lee Lee Lee Barnard", along with the all new "he's wanted by Scotland Yard" version of the latter's song, today's "Le Tiss..." and a few other new and re-recorded ones.) I even recorded "We're the Northam / We're the Kingsland" and incredibly weak versions (as sung) of "Pompey Fan Upon A String" and the p155-poor "Pompey Family" which I swear I was only being sarcastic about when I even suggested it the other day. Anyway, when I get the chance I'll upload them as well. Oh and I've cropped "The Saints Are Coming" to the good bit, and recorded the songs at the final whistle to use for the "Saints Win" playlist - do sing "We love Southampton" as suspected. Still can't get the sodding thing to work in-game though, have got some streaming and some on the HD, and the playlists all play fine, but WILL they play during a match ? Will they ar5es.

I've only had it work with an "audio" disk, not sure if the Xbox likes mp3 disks and it definitely isn't keen on what it calls "mixed media format" i.e. DVD disks. For the record I've turned everything but the crowd right down now, and for some reason my chants aren't even picking up from the playlists at the moment - bloody EA...
  25. And where are all the people who were claiming his contract ended in mid-August now, huh ? Admittedly Christ only knows how he got that extension for the third year, but all football contracts over 1 year end on July 1st, so once he was still here on July 2nd he wasn't going anywhere. I feel very very sorry for Stockport, they must be cack. As long as he doesn't end up at Newport County I won't care.
