  1. There is no press conference. See above. Even the original poster is now saying she's been fed duff info.
  2. According to Fry's own calendar of events in his statement, "extremely bad" wouldn't come until Friday, "if there are no bids". So that's positive and let's hope. Today is both the day Pinnacle said they should be completed AND still the "start of the week" when the interest "from abroad" was expected to get back to Fry. Thankfully Ladysaint is one of our more credible posters...
  3. Have a cookie!
  4. "There's a voice, keeps on calling me..."
  5. Only I could possibly know that..!
  6. Don't ask me... "Mr 9", I like that.
  7. Not now Marc Jackson's pulled out. He was fronting my bid.
  8. 1) I am assuming you mean his battle with reality. 2) Or possibly that Peter Reid had never even heard of him or the job he was meant to have been offered, as he was quoted as saying.
  9. I went to SaintsAid, threw change in a bucket and bought a Season Ticket last season... I think my efforts are at least comparable. He certainly did get a lot further than many would have expected him to, and if we somehow survive all this questions should be asked about that.
  10. Ketchup ?
  11. I want the big advert board which they do photos and interviews in front of. £5 a photo in Saints kit in the precinct, then come 2010 I'll have enough money to buy the club. I won't, but I'll have enough to. :smt098
  12. Also, it won't be "all 92 League clubs"... 1) There will only be 91 clubs in the Prem, FL, L1 and L2 if we go bang. 2) The Premier League isn't part of the Football League anyway.
  13. Provided Portsmouth isn't included and I can pass on Cardiff City if drawn. As I'm starting to accumulate ex-clubs at an alarming rate (already have Newport County on the list), maybe I should take offers from clubs NOT to support them, I could retire early then.
  14. Fry gave "an offer from abroad" until "the start of [this] week". It's not news, it's in his last statement on the OS.
  15. Hang on, no-one's said "sauce" yet - and shouldn't the thread be renamed "This is the place to slate Marc Jackson?" I mean if it makes you all feel better, and all... it's not like Fry's given him any credibility for weeks anyway.
  16. Be fair, the bloke just died. Etc.
  17. Awww, c'mon, this is a much better story than any of the takeover stuff...
  18. I'm beyond being bothered about who the manager is at the moment, and the Hoddle issue is long-dead to most, seeing as we stuffed them plenty and got him the sack too... though as Pinnacle's stated goal is to unite the fans, I'm thinking this is cobblers.
  19. Not on the strength of any of his reserve (or international) performances I've seen since we lost to Derby in the Play-Offs, being dropped for which seems to have ruined his confidence altogether. Then again maybe a run in the team will do him good. I have half-shares in a pet budgie named after him, so I'm entitled to be biased...
  20. Coventry avoided administration by one minute. We are already IN administration...
  21. Delap played 5 seasons in the Prem before he even joined Saints, so I'm not sure why it's such a shock to you that he's up to that standard ? Fuller was with the Skates up there for a couple of seasons and Jones was clearly Prem quality from the point he started attacking the six yard box for Saints, and had shown plenty of potential from the point where Sturrock first picked him up front for Sheff Weds. Matthew Mills is the other player you're thinking of. Doncaster's Player of the Season in their most successful season ever, finishing half a division above Saints, and they beat us at St Mary's. Hardly "off the radar". So slate Surman by all means, but at least come up with some decent examples of ex-Saints players who actually AREN'T Prem quality (like, say Pericard and (ha, this will start a row!) Leandre Griffit...
  22. That is the stupidest thing I've read all summer, and there's been some competition. Have you got even the remotest inkling what's going on ?
  23. I could see it of Surman due to the local links and the fact he's never played anywhere else, etc. but Davis was out of contract and I'm not surprised he's taken whatever offer(s) there are/is - especially a nice pay rise like the one he'll get at West Ham.

I'll remove the "paid-by" dates when someone confirms the staff have been paid - which no-one has yet to my knowledge.
