Football has always been a bit corrupt. It’s riddled with it now from top to bottom. And we don’t even know 10% of what goes on. And it involves nearly everyone to one degree or another. How many players are involved in betting fixes on your regular Saturday through their friends and family including betting on number of cards, first player to be carded, number of corners etc. Right through to executives and agents involved in transfers, back handers etc. Hard to imagine all of the refs are clean either. it’s a nasty thing but we still put our hands in our pockets and go along like the muppets we are. David Batty knew what he was doing when he left the game behind him. Saints were just the wankers that got caught.

That’s it. Appeal and delay and kick the can down the road for the next two years in the hope that they lose interest. Ordered to then play 2 games behind closed doors as punishment along with a relatively small fine. That’s the way it will go.

Perhaps the FA have appealed their own decision? They were happy with a 3 game ban and then they saw Parson’s video and are now seeking a 33 game ban.

How long for?

So what does the club do if Tonda gets a ban from the game of say 4 months or more? Do they wait for him to serve his ban and put an interim in until it ends? Do they sack him? If they were to sack him, what chance of Jose Fonte leaving Sunderland and coming back to Saints?

It was a stupid thing to do. Hell of a price to pay for rank stupidity.

Parsons should have been sacked after the debacle when we were expelled. The club and Dragan in particular have fucked up keeping him on but now made it worse by allowing him to continue to represent the club. Does Parsons hold some compromising pictures of Dragan with a goat? If Parsons had any honour and half a brain he would have fallen on his sword. He should be ashamed of himself.
