I think guys we need to get a bit of realism here. Whether we like it or not we are not a massively attractive option right now. We’re bottom of the league and 7 points off the top two after one game. Our manager could still be banned or suspended. I think we’ve done remarkably well to hang on to most of what we had last season. I expected a huge exodus this summer and that hasn’t happened with just over a week to go until the transfer window shuts. I see this season as a consolidation year. If we get a top 8 place we would have done well.

Too often the word ‘legend’ is used. Today we lost a true legend. How very sad. Up there with my top five football moments in my life when he signed for us. For youngsters who don’t remember him, when we signed him it was huge. European Footballer of the Year. Lawrie pulled off a miracle. RIP KK.

A bit of name dropping. I did a charity cycle ride across Scotland a few years back now and Lee Dixon was one of those on that ride. He was a really decent bloke with a great sense of humour along with Sir Les Ferdinand. Now the rugby guys to a man apart from Kenny Logan were a bunch of cvnts.

We won’t know if it was a good call or not until we see who his replacement is and for how much.
