van Dijk is coming off with an injury.

“It was always going to be a difficult match. I tried parking the bus but I’m not very good at organizing defences.”

Dangerous free kick for Liverpool, with Hoedt fouling Salah by putting his arm across him. Seems a little soft to me. Hits the post, Salah knocks in the ball at close range for 3-0. HT.

Ball deflects off Long in the penalty area from the Saints’ right flank, goes straight to Hoedt who plays it into the net to the keeper’s left with a leaden-footed first touch. In his defence I suppose the deflection would have wrong-footed him.
-
Hoj had a fee shot near the penalty spot there. Scuffs it.
-
We don’t look half bad going forward. Redmond’s been lively, again.
-
Romeu cleaned out Shaquiri, gets a yellow.
-
Barely moving and waving his hands around like a complete pratt after fouling Shaquiri, while the referee played advantage.
-
Good goal-saving tackle by Cedric...but then they score from the corner.
-
The pass to Lemina didn’t help.
-
Hoedt you donkey.
-
Good ball by Targett for Long.

The commentator mentioned that he’s injured, along with Gabbiadini.

Autocorrect was not your friend here, Jeff.

The Watford v Everton Silva tapping up saga is rumbling along... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/09/13/everton-face-potential-points-deduction-marco-silva-tapping/ I’d love to see a points deduction if for no other reason than to read the disgruntled comments by the dugout pioneers’ very special legion of online supporters, but I expect to be disappointed.

Spot on. I can’t believe I just wasted 60 seconds of my morning reading such a pointless editorial. Perhaps someone could write a letter to the club and politely ask them if they could cultivate a playing style like Huddersfield, the paragon of interesting, meaningful football.

I’m so happy that we won. Ings may well become the main man by the end of the season, if he stays fit. A bit of a dangerous trait is revealing itself of fading after scoring. Palace were all over us for quite a lengthy period after the first goal. Lucky for us, Benteke continues to be snakebitten in front of goal. McCarthy did well to save Benteke’s close-range header with his legs near the end, even if it was directed right at him. I’m so happy that Hoj was able to get over last weekend and play as well as he did. Good to see all the non-squad members like Armstrong and Gabbiadini congratulating the team as they came off at the end.

Hoj cramping up.

Hoj recovers nicely from last weekend!!!
-
Palace attacking in waves. And Hoj scores!!!!

6 minutes of injury time. Gulp.
