Adkins' Bus's Achievements

  1. Watch it be Fellows RWB, Wellington LCB and Jelert LWB
  2. Got away with that point, same old slow rubbish, same old 3 soft CBs, same old Baz. Terrible for goal, doesn't move his feet, just dives from a standing position. Great save shortly after though tbf. Jelert was good, imagining playing him RB in a back 4 with Fellows infront of him, that would be wild! Would have been a decent point if we'd got 3 at Oxford......
  3. All so predictable again. Substitutions ridiculous, no point saving Scienza and Fellows for Birmingham, just get this game won where we had a better chance. Could have got 3 here and thrown the Birmingham game instead. Now we'll end up with nothing. So done with this formation, defence and goalkeeper. I'll let him off with the first as he may have been a bit unsighted, but second was shocking, wasn't even right in the corner.
  4. So frustrating. We never stop a cross and we are so weak defending them. First goal Manning nowhere to be seen, 3 CBS and still no one can get in front of their lone striker. Second goal a hopeful punt, lost the first header, slow to the second ball. We finally take a CB off for a midfielder and somehow still end up with 5 at the back. Unbelievable. We are capable of some great attacking play, but we can't always be on it and score 3 goals. Particularly away from home we will come under spells of pressure and we just can't handle it. So weak at the back. Fair play to Norwich, they got tight, fought for every ball, were strong and physical and we couldn't cope with it.
  5. Not usually privy to such information, but GO is being spoken to at the moment.
  6. What I'd like to see: Ramsdale Sugawara THB Bednarek KWP Dibling Downes Fernandes AA Archer Diaz What it will probably be: Sugawara THB Bednarek Stephens KWP Smallbone Downes Fernandes AA Diaz
  7. Exactly, we haven't even got the same style of players that Man City are using in their current system. Their inverted full backs are generally physical ball playing centre halves, e.g. Stones, Ake. They also have Rodri in DM, so that is 5 physical, defensively minded players that give them a base for their attacking players to express themselves. It is very different and downright stupid trying to replicate it with KWP, Manning and Downes!
  8. From a quick look at the Swansea highlights at least he seems to completely own it and be all in on the possession, play out from the back style. Nothing worse than our cowardly attempt at it in recent times which involves getting in to the attacking third, playing it back to full back, passing across the defence, back to the keeper, hoof, lost it. Completely pointless.
  9. Yes, which a lot of fans got very upset about and constantly used it to bash Ralph. Well I would rather be ahead at some point than never! Especially when we are a team that can pretty much never break down a side sitting deep to protect a lead. As frustrating as it was, flying out the traps and expending our energy early was the right tactic for us as a team.
  10. How many more attackers do Leeds need. Surely some of them must be surplus to requirements now.... Aaronson, Summerville, Harrison, Sinisterra, Gnonto, Bamford, Rodrigo, Gnonto, Rutter, Tete I'd take any of them!
  11. Seems a lot of people want a return to our old approach of high press that would often leave us exposed to taking a few spankings. However it was more entertaining and would occasionally bring us a good result. The same people would then complain and say they would just like to see us be more solid.
  12. Ritchie was at Southampton airport on Monday 🤔 didn't think anything of it given that he probably has roots nearby.
  13. Even standing still is a good achievement in my eyes, given the level of investment. Probably only Norwich, Burnley, Watford and Brentford have invested the same or less than us over the last few years. The likes of Newcastle (even before oil money), Wolves, Palace, Brighton, Villa, Leeds have invested a lot more than ourselves.
  14. What a load of nonsense from Rodgers. Can't start blaming Covid for injuries 😂
  15. Good post which is probably pretty close to the mark. Given our equally inept ability to overturn a deficit and the general importance of the first goal at this level, I think it is a fair strategy theoretically. And I think we are close to making it effective if one or two things can get ironed out - more clinical finishing and less blunders in goal as one said above. Not sure the third strategy would work so well for the reasons already mentioned. It would be less irritating if we were to draw after coming from behind, but it doesn't matter how the points come at the end of the day.
