Students - tax dodging c*nts. Fire fighters and British Airways trolley dollys are one of the same. Greedy selfish c*nts.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying... why do you think most clubs put season tickets on sale before the end of the season? Because it is the best time to capture people. Of course there is the hardcore which will renew... but for some people SFC is now at the back of their minds again and it will be har to recapture them to get them to commit to a season ticket. Listen, as I keep saying and for some whacky reason, nobody can understand... there is a reason that every single club if possible get their season tickets on sale before the end of the previous season is.................... because it sells the most season tickets by doing it this way!
-
Is it now... For the record, I think we will know this afternoon, if not tommorow morning.
-
Am pretty sure we are not having smart card system next year... the delay is all about Cortese delaying, nothing else... it might be for a reason, but nobody other than Cortese knows what that reason is.
-
You seem to be quite sympathetic towards the strikers... generally people that sympathise with them either haven't been affected by them or have the attitude of ' well I just won't book a flight with them ' . I haven't actually found anyone yet who would buy a ticket in advance from them. The strikes have damaged BA beyond repair... the half a billion pound losses are going to look like peanuts compared to their losses in the second half of the year.
-
Have you booked a BA flight in the last 3 months? Would you book a BA flight in the next 3 months?
-
Because Bridge too Far was saying that they deserved a decent wage as their job was so dangerous, which it clearly is not. So I was just putting that to bed. :-) xx

Here is the job description of a flight attendant in the UK It's from a government website so I would say it is pretty accurate. http://careersadvice.direct.gov.uk/helpwithyourcareer/jobprofiles/JobProfile?jobprofileid=118&jobprofilename=Air%20Cabin%20Crew&code=-1945733096 Wow... sounds like a right headache of a job!
-
American regulations are different to those of English, I will go and have a look for a British trolly dolly job description.
-
I have better statistics now to say how likely you are to be killed on a flight. 1 in 9.2 million Wow... super dangerous job. I would say there is hundreds of other jobs with more chance of fatality.

I don't get this post, there is som many contradictions etc... I think it is about time we got off our high-horse. We are not uber-rich, we are being run as a business for profit... and the most profitable way of selling season tickets is to have them on sale as early as possible... what part of that don't you get? As for me, I am in the 'will renew regardless' category. It's just annoying they didn't come out in March, and I hope there is a good reason for it.
-
LOL Course... why do Chelsea, QPR, Liverpool, Man United etc etc do it then? Gate reciepts for Premiership and in some cases, championship clubs make up a tiny bit of their turnover. Go on... considering their gate receipts for the 3 big teams are a fraction of their turnover. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that if literally every club have their season tickets on sale before the end of the season then they are doing it because that is the way that sells the most tickets? Are you honestly saying that our Italian banker knows more than all of these clubs and has developed a new revolutionary selling technique and spotted something that the other 91 clubs have not?
-
I know, I know... still... I have heard from people inside the club, and it's obvious to those on the outside that he does like to constantly remind everyone, including contractors he does business with, who is incharge.

99% do it because IT IS!!! Generally speaking if 99% of people are doing it, it's because IT WORKS!!! I personally think David Luker has been f*cked over by Cortese and NC has taken on the season ticket policy on his own taking no input from Luker. He does seem to think he knows better than anyone else. Infact it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Cortese has seen this thread and is holding the tickets back on purpose to wind Saints fans up and remind everyone Saints is 'his baby'

Last time I checked, pouring a cup of tea or selling perfume didnt actually have any effect on whether or not a plane would be grounded. Trolly Dolly is taught basic first-aid, which you get in most jobs. Their job is a very simple one and they are paid very well for their very simple job.

That is complete tosh, I am sorry to say. Season Tickets are there for a reason, they are the most economic way for both the club and the customer. I don't know the numbers, I could find out I guess, but I imagine than the 'casual fan' goes to less than half of the matches, choosing to ditch the smaller teams, midweek ones and ones during the summer holiday and possibly xmas periods. It has absolutely nothing to do with seeing them through to the start of the next season... we are not the only club with a wealthy owner, we are one of the only clubs without season tickets on sale.
-
No, commercial flight wise it's about 1 in 75 million chance for each hour that you might die. These statistics include private and military aircraft. The risk from a small private plane to that of a commercial jet is massively different.
-
I still haven't heard from anyone that has bought a BA flight ticket in the last few months, or indeed would even consider it in the future... let's face it, you would have to be stupid to when there are cheaper, and now thanks to the strikers, other airlines which are much more reliable.

One of my friends is one for Flybe, she absolutely loves it and does next to no work. She also earns a very healthy wage by keeping heself 'on call' during her time off, which is very rare that she is called in. They also had their quarterly review meeting over 3 days.... in Athens.... it's a hard life eh?
-
Completely different, we had just been taken over by a billionaire and saved from extinction.

Let's look at FACTS Top 10 civilian jobs in order of the most dangerous, take from FACT, the numbers are in deaths per 100,000 people. Can't see trolley dollys there. Timber cutters 117.8 Fishers 71.1 Pilots and navigators 69.8 Structural metal workers 58.2 Drivers-sales workers 37.9 Roofers 37 Electrical power installers 32.5 Farm occupations 28 Construction laborers 27.7 Truck drivers 25

4 people are killed on flights for every 1 million hours of flying so times that by how many people are on the flights on average, say 300... there is a chance you may get killed is 1 in 75 million. Wow, yeah I think I will take my chances with the McDonalds worker please.
-
Oh my god... you got that straight off the Unite pdf as well didn't you? You have some strange obsession with the role of a trolley dolly and seem desperate to make it sound more glamorous and challenging than it really is. They are people who serve tea and coffee and also know how to use a fire extinguisher and administer basic first aid ( if there is not a doctor on nurse on board )
-
I imagine it's the rather less hilarious situation that David Luker has not been involved and Cortese is trying to sort it on his own as ' it's his baby ' ... infact I would be almost certain of this... there is no way that Luker would leave it this late getting the season tickets on sale, it doesn't make sense... it will cost the club season ticket sales and reduces the window. There is a reason that 99% of clubs have had their season tickets on sale for a while.... because that's what sells the most season tickets.

And why not?! The union are sending the staff out on strike when BA have not broken any employment laws etc!
