  1. No it's not good to compare... however put their wages into perspective... they get paid a hell of alot of money for what they actually do... which is serve tea and coffee. They get paid not far off £1000 for having a mini-break in Hong Kong whilst they 'recover' lol Their job even at 20k a year would be more than enough... some of the perks and wages they get are stupid. The bottom line is that BA are allowed to stop perks and bonuses by law... what they are doing is legal and fair play to them not backing down. Here's looking forward to when they start making redundancies... hopefully it will be just before Xmas to cause maximum effect.
  2. Robsk is ginger, even if he isn't ginger, he has alot of things in common with ginger people... mainly having no friends.
  3. Thankyou, I made it myself. Well done with Bournemouth too... I have seriously considered moving there.
  4. Robsk made you write that, because he is a ginger.
  5. Exactly, nor survive things such as the Volcano ash or greedy c*nts going on strike.
  6. No, you know what... she is right. Soldiers can work through the night, sometimes up to 48 hours with no proper sleep and still be expected to drive a tank in a battle zone, fire live weapons and defeat the enemy. But the poor old trolley dolleys need a good 24 hours kip before they can serve their next microwave meal.
  7. Didn't you know that if you go on a 10 hour flight to Western US and the time zone is 9 hours different, then you actually work them hours too... so it's like a 19 hour shift. She is funny though, bless her. xx
  8. No, they just took the bonuses and perks away BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE LEGALLY ALLOWED TO DO. What BA have done is LEGAL... Striking might be legal, but so is removing perks and bonuses at any time. And anyone in a public service/sector that goes on strike is a c*nt ( in my honest opinion )
  9. LMFAO You are something else. Someone who refuses to fly but has such a strong opinion on it... unreal... I bet you were calling me a w@nker for going on the pitch too.
  10. What's even funnier is that they are so worried about this drop in customer service that they are taking action in the worst possible customer service way ever..... not turning up to work. The whole thing is a joke, and all their staff are. I won't use BA for as long as I live.
  11. Perks are exactly that, perks, as are bonuses which can be removed at any time. As I said earlier... my 'bonus' scheme was restructured along with the rest of my department reducing my earnings by £15,000pa... what could I do about it? F*ck all but get a new job... which is what I did. They are greedy c*nts... end of.
  12. I just read it again, 56k is their take-home, so their salary is about 80k in that case. £80,000 Seriously, and they are moaning at pouring a cup of tea. Haha
  13. Not only that, remember they are only allowed to fly 20 hours a week... so actually in a pro-rata basis the 'real' figure is over 100k Greedy c*nts, they can all go f*ck themselves.
  14. Oh noes.... the management have to chuck out a few meals and make a cup of tea... how bad is that. And lol @ the thought that some peroxide blonde no-mark trying to have an opinion on cost cutting. THEY ARE COST CUTTING BECAUSE THEY ARE LOSING HALF A BILLION POUNDS A YEAR F*cking hell, do some of you not get it? What do you suggest they do? They either costcut of make massive amounts of redundancies and cut flights... ... do them dozy trolley dolleys not get that? I personally can't wait for the day that they either go into administration, or make massive redundancies... the site of lots of the staff crying and wondering how they will feed their families will give me a massive amount of pleasure.
  15. And that answers my question as well. You don't give a toss about the flights because it doesn't affect you. If it did, you would have a completely different viewpoint.
  16. Are you serious? BA are making cuts because THEY LOST HALF A BILLION POUNDS IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS... cuts happen in any company which is making such a loss. The ONLY people that are causing this is the people that are striking. I am absolutely stunned that you cannot see this. Luckily though, they will all be out of work soon and unemployable for a long time to come because no other airline will touch them with a bargepole.
  17. Will you book a BA flight now? Would you feel the same if your holiday this year was booked with them and the strike action meant it was cancelled?
  18. To the people who support the strikes. Would you book a flight with British Airways. Infact has anyone been stupid enough to book a flight through BA in the last 3 months? They will be gone by Xmas... so will their staff... LOL@their staff. ( well the ones that went on strike )
  19. Which one am I? :-)
  20. It has never been the case since AT LEAST the late 60's and the conflict in Northern Ireland where it just wasn't safe ( and illegal ) to be in uniform in public.
  21. What would your thoughts be about them if you had booked a wedding in Jamaica and BA went on strike meaning that neither you or your guests could get there, costing you and your guests thousands of pounds and cancelling your wedding day. Would you turn round and say with a smile " nevermind, they are allowed to strike, it's their right " Course you would....
  22. That's b*llocks. You get 4 Travel Warrants a year to get you from barracks to your home. Travel in uniform? You have only been allowed to wear uniform when off-duty for a few years... so you talk rubbish.... typical women.
  23. Didn't you when you were a kid?
  24. Yes I would do something about it. I worked for Norwich Union a few years ago, they had a review and said that my bonus and commision was being restructured and I would lose 40% of my pay if I worked 25% harder... what did I do? I quit and got another job. Why do you think they are cutting money mate? Because they have been losing hundreds of millions each year! They are not doing it to pocket money! They are doing it to save money and keep the company afloat! I could never go on strike knowing full well that I would be ruining many childrens holiday etc, stopping people from seeing their families and leaving people stranded across the world.
