I am having a slow work day, Southampton are the only team out of the current League 1 who do not have season tickets on sale, Huddersfield, Millwall and Charlton all have theirs on sale. As I said, we are the only club not to have them on sale at the moment. There may well be a reason for this, but as customers, we deserve to know why.

I am 'expecting' it to happen, the reason I expect it to happen is due to the club not doing anything to deny it will happen. Yes they shouldn't respond to every bit of speculation, but if there was no substance in it, we would have heard that from Cortese or Pardew... we haven't heard anything.

1) Once again, the club refused to comment on Daily Echo stories saying they had been banned etc... bad move PR wise. 2) The way he put his comments across fuelled speculation, and he has done nothing since to publicly stand by his manager. 3) Wrong, nearly every single club has them on sale now, or at least the details released. 4 & 5) If you read my point, I said 'serious' speculation... like pulling the programmes... if you don't want speculation about the manager then you release a statement explaining why the programmes were pulled.

I can't see them being able to pin a football banning order on you if you appeal. It's just a load of flexing of muscles, I notice the Southampton FI Officer was on South Today 2 nights ago talking rubbish.

As I said, the boardroom was empty as of 9:45 yet Cortese's motor was in the Car Park and camera crews were outside, which suggests that SMS is the place where the meeting is taking place but it hadn't 'taken place' yet.

The main reason I don't want Pardew to go is simply for continuity. I don't think Pardew has done an amazing job, I think his achievements lie in the 'acceptable to good' category. We still dropped alot of points against teams we shouldn't have and in some of them games, it was down to his tactics. Having said that, if he is sacked then they are going to have to employ a massive name to appease the fans and sell season tickets.

Exactly... Having said that, how many times have you seen managers get the 'vote of confidence' from the Chairman/Owner... ... only to get sacked after the next game.

I think the club should have released a statement as to why the programmes were pulled, yes. I do think that a Chairman needs to publicly back his manager every now and then, to help retain the feelgood factor which let's face it, sells tickets.

Agree to an extent. It's none of our business who they decided to buy, how much they want to pay, whether they have a picture of a train in the boardroom... ( infact that is a good point, I will get my *source* to check on her way out of the MLT later ) It is our business as a customer about things which affect us like Season Tickets, notifying fans of pre-season tours etc... of course the club has the right to withold this information from us, but it doesn't make great PR.

THAT would be worth the wait, and I think one which would be a massive hit and good business for them as well as us. Or Cup matches free for those season ticket holders, reason for delay is clearing it with FA Or bring a friend free. Or something else equally attractive.

But the police have already mentioned to the Echo that there will be no change to the seating plans etc. I would hope that there is a very good reason for the delay.

I was on about the whole of SMS singing 'on the pitch on the pitch on the pitch' for 45 minutes, drowning out the PA announcements, people all over the stadium standing down the front preparing the go on the pitch... ... and then when a few people got on the pitch booing and chanting 'w@nkers' etc etc etc... ... one of the most retarded and fickle things I have ever seen ( on youtube ) :-)

We do indeed have some of the most retarded fans in the history of football. This forum is one example. The crowds behaviour before and after the pitch invasion on Saturday is another example.
