  1. I don't like to blow my own trumpet. :-)
  2. I wouldn't class myself as a football fan, I don't watch much football at home, I don't even have the Sports package on Sky anymore... the odd game that I do want to watch I will go round a mates. I don't really pay attention to much going on in the league apart from our league position and the teams close to us. Football for me is a social, meet the lads and have a few beers and a laugh, I am not too bothered about the 90 minutes, normally it's just a drunken haze, unless it's a midweek game. On 36 minutes me and my pals make our way downstairs for a couple of pints and watch the final 10 minutes of the first half on the TV ( if it's working ) , sometimes we are back in our seats for the second half, more often than not the stewards tell us to drink up and we make our way up on 50 minutes. Depending on the result, we are rarely there at the end, in quite a few cases, we are back in the pub before the final whistle goes... infact for Gillingham away, we were back in London before the final whistle went. Yes I am a super fan.
  3. I challenged the Echo as to why they refer to certain people as 'Saints Trust xxxxxx' and recieved a sarcy reply from the editor saying along the lines of... " no they are not are friends, as you put it, but we are aware they DO exist " LMFAO @ The Echo
  4. It seems according to the Echo that there is a new Saints Trust chairman now by the name of Jason McFeat Can we have some more info on one of our new illustrious leaders? Maybe a bit of background? I assume that he was elected the legal way, as in voted in by the Saints Trust 'members' at the AGM ( lol ) Can someone please turn the lights off on that pile of sh!t that is the Saints Trust? I even contacted that shower of sh1te Echo and recieved a very sarcastic reply from the news editor stating that the Saints Trust exists. In that case... count me in... where do I sign up? Can someone tell me who the f*ck is on the board because I have my money for membership ready and waiting. Oh, and Steve Grant... apparantly he has taken your position as Vice-Chairman according to the Saints Trust website... were you aware of this?!
  5. I must have missed that one?!?! When was he elected? LMAO all those Trust cronies are grade a attention seeking c*nts.
  6. He's wearing a Saints top in the picture so shut up.
  7. Ginger killjoy
  8. Oh, so you are the c*nt that changes the speed limits to 40 and issues Fog warnings on a perfectly clear sunny day are you?
  9. Also drinks in the Bedes Lea and Baddesley Arms quite often and is just one of the lads. Only recently bought a house down here ( as opposed to renting, which most footballers at this level do ) , I think he is here for the long-term. Top bloke.
  10. I just got that text off my fwend a couple of minutes ago. WoOoOop
  11. Facebook status f'sure.
  12. Of course it has everything to do with it! You don't have to see/live/work with that lot day in, day out. I will quite happily say that I hate P*rtsmouth and love Southampton in equal measures. I am still proud of my record of being over 30 and only been to P*rtsmouth 3 times in my life, 2 of them for football and once to get my car taxed. I F*CKING HATE THEM DIRTY C*NTS
  13. Who cut your hair? You skinhead thug.
  14. But then again, you live in Chester... so your opinions are irrelevent as you don't live/work with them disgusting people on a daily basis.
  15. And what would your reason be for thinking it won't be 12pm?
  16. If we don't go abroad on pre-season then I will be massively f*cked off, as I have been emailing the club for the last 3 months trying to get even just a country and dates of the games, and linking to this forum etc making them aware that people are holding off their holiday plans to find out where the tour is. If we weren't going abroad then a simple statement would have been fair enough.
  17. Unfortunately there is not a hope in hell the away game will be played in the summer/spring months as it doesn't take the brains of an arch-bishop to realise half of Southampton will end up in Bournemouth, ticket or no ticket. :-( The away game will be Boxing Day, 12pm... or New Years Day. Almost guaranteed that one. :-(
  18. Errr.... Like him or not, Lawrie has been involved with SFC for well over 30 years and has sat on numerous boards, Director of Football as well as manager. He knows more about running a football club in his little finger than Cortese knows.
  19. Innit. I'm off to the pub, have yourself a wonderful evening. xx
  20. Maybe it's because I think that Cortese comes across as a bit head mental in this statement. xx
  21. And maybe you can read my post again and think why I may have used Psychiatry rather than Psychology :-) xxx
  22. But he never made a decision did he? From somewhere a 'rumour' was leaked and he was able to sit back and see what the likely public reaction would be before being able to come out and deny it if the reaction wasn't to his liking ( which it wasn't ) ... to be fair, that is good business practice, so credit where credits due. Anyway, I am off to the pub, I am glad that Pardew is going to be incharge of us come the start of the season. :-)
  23. With respect Saint Ash, and without meaning to sound patronising ( lol ) , I assume you are young? There is a feelgood factor about Saints at the moment... season tickets are not on sale yet... do you think it would be a good business decision to wipe out that feelgood factor by sacking someone who is backed, almost 100% by the paying public a few days before anywhere between 10 and 20,000 season tickets are to be sold? Sometimes in football little bits of information are leaked to the press, to fuel speculation... which is then used to guage public opinion. Considering BBC Solent were the ones that originally broke the Pardew story, how come they escaped a mention in the statement? Could it be that they had good reason to break the story and were used as the fuel for the fire? Cortese didn't get the decision he wanted, which comes across loud and clear in the statement and spends most of it knocking people who simply said 'I don't want Pardew to leave' ... that comes across as someone who's plans have been scuppered. Also... it doesn't take a psychiatrist to see that the comments about the comment " we are developing a mutual trust " actually means " we don't really like each other, but we are getting there " . And also, forget the media, the press and anyone else, why hasn't he come out and said 'Pardew is the man for the job' ? You know what, you might end up right about Cortese not giving a fook about what people think and sacking Pardew, but it won't be a couple of days before season tickets go on sale.
  24. In my opinion, the statement comes across as a bit of a bitter rant from someone who didn't get their way ( as in sacking Pardew ) , with digs dealt out to the people that helped make sacking of Pardew ( as in The Echo, MLT, Mac, Benali and Keegan) impossible. Having said that, I am chuffed that Pardew is staying, I am just not convinced that he was staying as of 5pm last Saturday. Rant from me, over. I shall bookmark this thread so I can deal out the 'I told you so's ' one day. :-)
  25. I don't remember stating anywhere else that I think Pardew will be sacked unless we are in the top 2 next season. Whilst I am here... Why is he still "developing a trust" with Pardew after a year working together? And how come he has not publicly praised his manager for his efforts?
