  1. Let's have a look at how the event was billed... Many venues charge to get in and add a premium to the price of drinks Errrr...no they didn't, there are no reports of any other venues charging to get in. its right next to the stadium, less than 50 metres to be exact. It might well be, but you might want to mention that it's on the opposite side of the stadium to the majority of the Saints fans entrance, I bet I was back in the Green Man before anyone from my block was back at Silverspoons. Holding around 2,000 and with half a dozen large bars inside, Reports on here suggest there was actually 3 bars, each with only 3 staff on... say it takes them 30 seconds to serve each pint... with 2000 people in there, that equates to a wait of almost 2 hours between each pint... 3 pints for £10, a price you wont find within five miles on the day Complete b*llocks again, I dont know how much the pints were in the Green Man because I was using tokens but know many pubs were knocking pints out at £3ish a pint. Ex-players in attendance Where? You CANNOT ADVERTISE THINGS LIKE THIS IF THEY ARE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, for this reason alone... everyone is entitled to a refund. Having ex-players in attendance directly affects peoples buying decision. Guaranteed Entry From 9am (And Afterwards) Well it wasn't was it? Another reason why everyone is entitled to a refund. I could go on... but once again Saints fans have been ripped off by Saints Trust ( they still exist because the papers say so )
  2. Tried to do what? Make a shed load of cash from a miss-sold event? Jeesh, say what you really think.
  3. With respect mate, it is nobodies fault but your own that you couldnt get on the train. It doesnt take the brains of an archbishop to realise that all trains would be full on leaving Southampton Central. I can't believe how naive some people are when it comes to things like this. Anyone who didn't get on a train only has themselves to blame.
  4. It was actually more than that... that was my bad for booking a Southampton coach company who not only bumped the prices up, but also charged £200 for LEZ and I let them keep the £50 for the parking they had included in the price that we didnt need. I am thinking about sending coaches on a much more regular basis... at a profit of course. I already have one booked for Gillingham last game of the season, I might even run a second. Profit margin? £5 a head, £250 profit. Might even run 2 coaches. Couldn't give a monkeys what anyone things, my mates are grateful that I put the effort in and charged them £5 less than the official travel club. My coaches are cheaper than the Travel Club, I might even make it more full-time and run one to every game... and yes... it will be for a profit. Oh.... and it will be alot more succesful than Silverspoons and other Saints Trust venture , I also won't go in the papers claiming that I am 'doing it for the fans' ... I won't be, I'll be doing it for the profit. Oh, and our Luzborough House passengers were given more time in the pub than the other coaches in the Green Man, as we were the first 3 coaches in ( apart from the Coopers bangbus ) and we were by far the last 3 coaches to leave... sometimes you have to go the extra mile for your passengers.
  5. Exactly... he is just a moaning git... blah blah blah... He is also stupid, because not only do you have to get all the tickets etc.. you still have to work during the day, getting everyone on the coaches, then off and on the coaches at Fleet, then back on the coaches at the end of the day and again at various services on the way home. Now you try getting 53 absolutely smashed lads onto a coach after 12 hours drinking... Travel Club was £25, my coaches were £20... and included you got parking in the Green Man and half of the pub sectioned off for them when we arrived to speed up service. BARGAIN...
  6. LOL - Another Saints Trust event and you lot are surprised it was sh!te? Fookin 'ell... what with people stuck trying to get trains into London and people buying tickets for Illingsworth events ltd... we have some seriously naive and gullable fans...
  7. Am I missing something here? I asked him why he was glad he didnt go to the Green Man... didnt mention anything about Silverspoons, I know it was sh!t, as I fully expected it to be. Who needs to go to Specsavers?
  8. LOL... if only it was that easy. There is 106 people to get money off... bearing in mind alot of them are mates... so not a case of first come, first served, not by bank transfer because it doesnt work like that, not everyone has email and alot of people on the coaches are friends of friends etc... You have people stalling for money, people dropping out at the last minute, names changing etc... and our coach departure changing at the last minute because of the police. So no.... it is not as simple and chucking out a quick email... And I couldnt give a toss if people got annoyed with me for making some money on it... infact nobody begrudged me. My mates all on coach 1 was run almost at cost... the second coach was run at profit but was not my close mates so couldnt give a toss. Nice free day out for me... I was intending on spending the profit on beers for the day, but the landlord of the Green Man giving me vouchers for 25 pints meant I still have it in my pocket. Happy Days
  9. Why? This thread clearly show's it was a good venue.
  10. £10 a head? Where you on that rickety old Coopers coach? Mr first coach was £17 a head. The second coach was £13 a head as we used a skate company. I charged £20 a head... woopee do, after paying someone £50 to look after the second coach and giving a few free spaces away, as well as leaving a couple of seats on each coach empty... there was a couple of hundred quid profit in it. Which I gladly pocketed for organising it. Diddums... if you knew how many hours goes in to organising the coaches, you wouldnt begrudge the profit.
  11. I don't think so. My colours where a fetching black Lyle and Scott coat. I was battered trying to work my way through the 25 free pints the landlord gave me, so I might have done.
  12. That's mates limo if it's the one you are on about, with the 3 Luzborough House coaches parked up in the background.
  13. I was going to stick the bloke behinds me flag up his arse and start waving the c*nt around at one point... On a good note, I was in the back row of four rows of our group, so I didnt have any flag waving mongs directly in front of me.
  14. Just basically being an annoying ****head... doing stupid dances with a wig on his head.. was funny for a couple of minutes.
  15. It's a localised commemorative issue, probably only Southampton area.
  16. One of our coaches had to stop on the hard shoulder of the M25 on the way back... that's the last time I book coaches without toilets to try and make more profit. Rickie Lambert cut-out was funny, was stood up by the can bar before the game, good atmosphere from us Romsey folk before the game, the rest of you were sh!te. Fleet services was buzzing in the morning on the way up there. The nutty asian tramp dancing for money in the Green Man after was funny... for a while... then it was just funny watching him have endless amounts of beer cans thrown at him.
  17. The Fake Saints Trust make another balls up? NEVER!!!!!! In the meantime, my 159 customers all enjoyed themselves. StuRomseySaint 1 Saints Trust 0
  18. It was one of my mates in the pink limo, the power rangers were quite funny in the Hummer, although a bit ghey for football.
  19. It's a grower, not a shower.
  20. Wahoooo well done you. I actually got in the ground 30 mins before kick-off ( a record ). I did balance that out with missing the second and third goals due to being at the bar though.
  21. Our coaches rolled in just after then, must say that Mal the landlord is a top bloke, shut off half the pub for our coaches for when we arrived and sorted me out 25 pint vouchers for bringing the coaches there.. top bloke!
  22. So where was all the pre-match atmosphere? Green Man was quality, good atmosphere, plenty of places to get a beer, nice food etc... I heard Silverspoons was a let-down? Lots of people in the Green Man who had left there. What other places did people head to?
  23. Does iphone change automatically? I might just set it anyway because I am not too bothered about waking up an hour early.
  24. One good thing about the justice system is they have followed the 'innocent until proven guilty' rule and given them unconditional bail so they can go to Wembley. I would have gone not guilty just for that reason.
