My grainy memory seems to recall midweek sports specials in the 1970’s where either highlights or full matches were shown on tv. I think it was an FA cup replay against Chelsea which we won circa 1975(?). We were buzzing after seeing the match or highlights and decided to expend some energy at Fridays night club. Within hours Channon and possibly Osgood were propping up the bar there being bought pints by all and sundry. Wouldn’t happen now I guess. I loved the Pink too - used to queue up for it from 6 and relive the match on Saturdays in the pub afterwards.

It’s streaming live on the BBC website

Well I did phone Ticket Office and was told the seats were mine and to continue sitting there. I asked what I should do if stewards queried it again and was told to contact Ticket Office by email?!?!?! Errr what is the point of me just having phoned you then? Goodbye customer service - hello mediocrity.

Ticketing still a shambles. Long story but 1st season I moved from Itchen to Family centre bought 3 season tickets in chosen seats so could take grand children. Week before season kicked off got phone call saying would I move as family who used to have those seats had reconsidered and wanted to buy them again. Being a good natured person I agreed to move if I could have similar seats. Fine no problem and for that season and next we sat in our new seats or didn’t due to lockdown. This season I couldn’t renew online for some reason so phoned ticket office. Apparently the seats they’d given us weren’t actually in the family centre but the next block along and they wouldn’t let me renew unless I paid the full price. Wasn’t having that so moved again but was now offered front row near corner flag. Missed Man U game as kids tickets arrived but mine didn’t and nor did the electronic one I’d been promised so West Ham was first visit. Got to seats - they’re marked Reserved! We sat in them anyway. Then steward asks to see our tickets- they match the seats but apparently these seats are reserved for staff so we shouldn’t be sat there. Eventually stayed in the seats for the match but were told to contact Ticket Office to be moved. Can’t blame this one on outsourcing the season tickets, this one is definitely down to the ticket office but it’s just one more irritation that adds to the general dissatisfaction with the off field club management. Who knows where we will be sat for the Wolves game!

Season ticket finally arrived today.

I sent a stinky email to Ticket office this afternoon saying I wasn’t prepared to queue for hours with grandchildren especially if things started kicking off the closer we got to 2pm and requesting a refund for this match. I’ve just received an email from the club saying they will send me 3 e tickets in the morning - result. (except I’ve told the kids we aren’t going and one has booked to go trampolining instead!)
-
If it’s a 3 hour wait today what is it going to be like tomorrow??
-
Grand daughter’s season ticket has just arrived but mine and my grandson’s have not! It’s a total p🤬ss take.
-
Still waiting for our 3. Not sure I’ll be fit to be around tomorrow if still not received. I don’t want to q for hours on Sunday. I don’t see why we can’t produce a copy of our season tickets receipt showing our seats and gain entry that way and if that means people double up on their friends receipt for this game and get in and find a seat elsewhere, so be it. The Club will only have themselves to blame.

If you haven’t had both vaccines you’re supposed to have proof of a negative lateral flow test BUT this is NOT mandatory for first three home matches so although there will be spot checks my reading of situation is that you can’t be prevented from attending if you can’t provide the information yet. Of course not having received a season ticket yet is another story! Email from club states: Will I be turned away if I am unable to show my Covid-19 status during a spot-check? Showing your Covid-19 status is not a requirement for entry at our first three home fixtures against Manchester United, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers – therefore, fans that cannot show their Covid-19 status for these matches will still be allowed into the stadium. We are preparing for this situation to change in anticipation that showing your Covid-19 status might become a mandatory entry requirement, in response to Government guidance.
-
Now received an email from club confirming Covid details for matches. Proof of vaccination and lateral flow tests for under 18’s within 48 hours of game. Not mandatory for first 3 home games so as I take 2 grandchildren from different addresses and haven’t a clue at the moment on how I prove their results I’m definitely not doing anything for Man U game and will hopefully get it sorted for later games.

This was posted on Club website Monday afternoon. Southampton Football Club can confirm that all 2021/22 Season Tickets are being sent out to fans this week ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Manchester United. Tickets are being sent by first class post and will arrive with supporters later this week, with the Ticket Office opening from 10am-2pm on Saturday 21st August and from 9.30am on the day of the game to answer queries from fans that haven’t received tickets at this point. Any 2021/22 Season Ticket holders who selected to receive a mobile ticket during the purchase process can log onto their My Saints account to find the Season Ticket QR code – simply head to the Purchase Historysection of your account and select your 2021/22 Season Ticket. Supporters who purchased their 2021/22 Season Tickets after Wednesday 21st July will receive paper tickets for Sunday's match this week, with their Season Ticket cards to be sent out after the match against Manchester United. Hospitality clients will be contacted directly by their account managers this week. We would like to thank fans for their patience and continued support as the club has experienced supply issues with the 2021/22 Season Ticket packs, alongside several other Premier League clubs, and we look forward to welcoming fans back to St Mary’s for Sunday’s match.

And I bet they won’t delay kick off either - madness!

Yesss!

Playing ham psychologist here - I do wonder if Harry has always blamed his dad for Diana’s death? If he hadn’t had his affair, if they hadn’t got divorced, she wouldn’t have been with Dodi in the tunnel etc etc so it’s all dad’s fault? They say revenge is a dish best served cold and he certainly did that -

Anyone else still waiting ?
-
I’m still waiting! They couldn’t organise the proverbial piss up in a brewery!
-
I was unsuccessful for West Ham so was hoping for Liverpool but no crowds now for the foreseeable future. Almost think they should refund up to Easter now and stop the fiddling about. I’m still waiting for last two refunds too.
-
Just got this email from the club - no phone call for me but then I’m in the cheap seats aka the Family Centre. With Southampton in tier 2 of the government’s local restriction tier system, the club will be able to allow a maximum of 2,000 supporters into the stadium for our match against Sheffield United on Sunday 13th December. You previously confirmed that you would like to be considered for selection to attend matches in October and November. To retain the same details and group you may have previously selected for the match against Sheffield United, and further fixtures in December and January, no further action is required. If you wish to amend this, please complete the form using the button below.

Is the club so desperate for money they are now offering LD sponsored shirts at a still high price with the chance of winning a prize? Just received an email saying “buy the shirt we never ‘lost’ in”.
-
However you look at it - it still feels like a rip off! I already had Sky Sports and added BT Sports thinking my refunded season ticket money would cover the additional cost each month and stupidly thinking also that the various broadcasters would continue to show ALL the games live and free if you had the packages. Older but no wiser!
-
Listening to Sky you’d think taking Walcott on loan was going to result in us dancing in the street! I’ve got no objection to him coming but he’s really not the exciting signing that they’re making him out to be.
-
This is now on the SFC site too so maybe the date of the 27th October does refer to the WBA refunds and not the Spurs refunds - who knows! As guaranteed by The Saints Promise, all 2020/21 Season Ticket holders’ refunds for the match against Tottenham Hotspur are now being processed, within 14 working days of the game. Payments are being run in batches with a large number already having been refunded to Season Ticket Holders, and all remaining payments being processed during the early part of next week, prior to Thursday 8thOctober. Once actioned, refunds can still take up to five working days to appear in your account so please wait until the week commencing Monday 12th October before contacting the Ticket Office.
