  1. nor is the current policy and it is driving the fans away . it is no good taking a million of costs IF that policy is losing you 2 million in income
  2. apparently that was the argument with JP was about 2 weeks ago, Rupert wanted to play up front but JP said centre half and you are a bit old
  3. Agreed which reinforces my view that Rupert is spinning the no money card and that the half year accounts to December will show some sort of improvement to show how clever he is
  4. explain to me how we get out of this spiral without getting the crowds back , because drafting in other clubs youth team rejects is not working. Let Lowe, Crouch and co buy 2 players who add 3k to the gate , we start winning and build momentum because without it this club is in its death throws.
  5. nah rupert would not sell
  6. Sorry but i cannot see Lowe and co putting any personal guaratees up and even when we had no injuries we never kept a settled side.
  7. the way it is going the next big letdown will be the next decision taken over the make up of the squad
  8. lots of mays, maybe's, and would have thoughts. my concern is the 4 you mentioned are all experienced running a youth team where development can be seen as more important than results but they lack CCC or any other real competitive football experience. I just cannot see what the end policy is meant to be because unless we keep some better players the income will continue to fall and the current policy itself is a major part of the spiral. Whilst i think Administration would be a diaster i am beginning to believe that it is going to happen and that it is just a matter of time. Surely the Owners(Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Withers, Askham, Richards) could go to the bank and guarantee an overdraft limit increase of say £5m and get some players who could reverse the spiral
  9. Because he treats me and my thousand pound a year on season tickets like a customer. problem is he has no concept of customer care. runs a plc as a private (his business) until it suits to be a plc again his presence has turned the city of southampton and its people away from the club
  10. Sums it up for me, it is not about being broke BUT how we are spending what we have. ExACTLY AS IN 2003 WE are buying players who are no better than what we have
  11. that is the problem we have 11 , need a couple of hod carriers
  12. wait for it cannot be long before we have a "nose in the trough" or" bankrupted" us quote
  13. have referred to Ladbrookes we are joint second favourites with Donny to go down.
  14. just listened to him on Sky Sports he has laid down the gauntlettn to his strikers to start scoring goals as they have only scored 1 in each of their last 3games. Hope he means from Monday
  15. On pitch but definitly not on terraces , Bradford is a tough place
  16. but 70% of slh is owned by less than 10 people, they have to choose now whether to fund the business or let it go broke because without a cash injection that is going to happen. The board of slh represent over 50% of the share capital when it suits them. I and 3 co directors/owners have just guaranteed an increase in our overdraft facilty because we believe in our policies , staff and business shane RL AND CO do not believe in SLH
  17. do not hold your breath waiting for an answer that makes sense
  18. you forgot about the guy on the end of the crosses. great memories Tim was one of my first 1o away games
  19. but directors/owners of companies the size of SLH AROUND THE country are funding their businesses to keep them a float at this time, why should SLH be different. i doubt whether the directors of woolies own or even controlled the share capital.
  20. Funny how those who decry the original post are firmly in Ruperts camp. We are basically a private company who happen to have plc status. all over the country small business like slh , are being funded by their owners at this time either by loans or guaranteeing overdrafts etc BUT FOR SOME REASON this is not an acceptable thing for SLH. Those who have the most to lose must make a decision either fund the company or let it go broke because their current policy is just leading to a continued downward spiral, crap team leads to less fans so less income, to even crapier team. THE CHOICE IS YOURS MESSRS lowe, wilde, crouch, withers, askham, richards and co between you it is your business
  21. my mates son plays for the academy under 14 side and as a defender has been put on stand by
  22. On another thread before i heard about Cork i predicted a 2-0 win for Saints because i will not go to a game without HOPE. but now have changed my mind to 3 nil United what a f*cking mess
  23. my fear with these signings is that they appear to be repeating the problem of 2003 , he are signing squad players and not ones that will automatically improve the first team.
  24. not convinced that Crouch did anything wrong in his BRIEF tenure as Chairman. Rupert has still not crasped the fact you need a good first 11 to suceed as a football club, he oversaw the buying of squad players in 2003 and is doing the same now.
  25. Do these two signings send a message that their is no REAL TALENT in our own academy ?
