I do not know if this is the worst season on our history as the original post said. I do not know if these are the worst players to wear the shirt. BUT i do believe this is the worst of the field team we have ever had, and i include Branfoot, they imo have no idea how to play in the CCC. They have no idea what their best side is and the worst aspect for me is that the Dutch national past time of being laid back has transmitted itself to the players who show no discipline during games

My 2 boys 21 and 14 have both had season tickets for years , the eldest had one at The Dell the youngest when we moved to SMS. Both have attended many away games with be including the Fratton disaster game and both are hurting , we live in an area which has seen the growth in plastic skates which has concided with the fall of plastic saints. The youngest cannot be arsed to go these days , better mucking about with his mates, the eldest still goes but has so much anger towards the club owners

The issue is that we have been conned, i accept we needed to do something about our financial situation and mixing our youngsters with experienced old hands at the club had my support. But what we have done did not, we actually only play on a regular basis a few lads who have come through our academy we have brought in average young players, except Cork, from other clubs including CCC clubs who frankly are not good enough. The sad thing is our Chairman actually believed that having a dutch coach meant that we could make silk purses out of cows ears

But that is sort of the problem , his achievements in football were as a player 30 years ago. We are now reaping the rewards of appointing the equivalent of a Wessex League coach from a country who have achieved nothing in club football for years.

Advice for Jan from page 413. You can play pretty football-this, that and the other-but if it doesn't work, you've got to have that alternative, that out; Now ok Terry Paine was talking about Ron Davies and Mick Channon but imo the basicidea still applies. You need to try something different at home better go now as wife not to impressed that i am at pc , but thought it was relevant

Strange thing is the company finance director was not over worried by the 80% because he knew that a lot of players were out of contract on the 30th June 2009 and that percentage would fall any way. Rupert is focusing on that stat because he knows that will show an automatic improvement much of which is nothing to do with his decisions.

rolls off the tongue

last paragraph sums up problem because it goes back to Lowe. imo the financial backers do not care who does the job as long as they keep improving the figures. To much has been made of overdraft figures, many businesses operate with overdrafts and debt and are profitable.

not sure if it is full transcript. rupert is full of two faced attacks, Jones and Wilde were all part of problem time

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
70's Mike replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
there is a thought could we somehow put pressure on WF Ireland so they give him an grief to leave SLH -
Um i actually believe that Rupert is painting as black as picture as possible to boost his ego when the half year accounts early next year show a remarkable improvement, obviously down to his policies. I suspect Jones will be hauled over the coals for stating that the 81% was a blip and that 2009 will bebetter becuse of the number of senior pros out of contract on 30 June 2008. The Echo lists the players he mentioned

With oil under Leigh Park, we will all have to unite under the Havant banner.

whilst that may be factually correct if we do nothing nothing changes. Wilde will fold if pressure is applied. My biggest regret as a saints fan was that I did nothing in 97 when the reverse takeover was mooted , maintaining the status quo ,imo, is not an option -
Same as me Both lads have had season tickets since we have been at SMS, eldest had one at the Dell. The youngest , 14, cannot be bothered most weeks, it is not cool, apparently to be a Saints fan. The eldest is at Uni but comes home for home games in the past but has missed at least 4 games this season. Worst thing is they both did not want to go to Plymouth boxing day.
