Calf or Groin Surprised it was in training because surely he have a youth keeper who could have been on bench
  2. Shows what a cruel game it is Bart drops a cod costs us a goal De Ridder does not look up and square the ball costs us 2 points Not sure who has the bigger problem

What is the official line for why he was missing? Sorry if it is posted elsewhere but got in from game and still do not know why?
  4. Predicted 1-1 just had a feeling during week, they have some experienced players who know how to raise their game. We have a lost our way a bit and the Derby game next week is an ideal time to get it back 3-1 Saints
  5. 84 is recorded on various media forms
  6. never been any different Steve
  7. think that is the big difference we tried got rejected and loss points pompey continued to trade whilst insolvent we stopped
  8. First game i saw at Fratton was mid 60's, saints won 5-3, i think, stood in the Fratton End that game was all about their nutty full back, Lunniss trying to get Terry Paine. 76 after cup semi final was an evening game, i believe, and Channon scored in last few minutes(did Steve Williams make his debut that night) Before the Alan Knight testimonial there was the John Milkins one, we won easily but were chased out of the town( I came back via Gosport ferry and bus to Southampton because it was carnage getting to the station. Not sure if that was the one where train was stopped at St Denys on way back and loads arrested. 84 ( i was 30) was still probably the most charged atmosphere game i have ever been to ( 36000 with 9000 saints) Skates singing "Southampton, Southampton here we come" then Armstrong to Moran and sheer joy, 3 minutes later all over, best thing was they were dominating the game, but Lawrie had us set up not to lose in those days and we nicked it. For those who have never experienced a derby win at Fratton, all i can say is it sticks with you for years, as does a defeat
  9. The football league will hide this because they are being made to look like idiots by the goings on at fratton
  10. an older wise head Pete problem is my sons will accept no excuses victory is demanded they are still carrying the scars of the 4-1 in the relegation season, and me talking about the glory of 76 and 84 at fratton does not help. had my e-mail get bus tickets from 12 tomorrow
  11. he is there "love child" and big project to promote young refs, problem is they picked a rule man rather than a good ref. Assessors give him top marks but players/managers feel he knows nothing about the game
  12. I have total belief but also do not under estimate the difficulty of the task, this game is there total season
  13. the football league will stall for time
  14. Blimey Dannysfc if you are that worried tell me what Bus you are on and me and 2 lads will look after you. pc burrows will keep you safe
  15. having re read pc burrows bit How would a bubble have stopped the skates smashing up their own dump a few years back, how would a bubble have stopped what happened last time at sms. the man must have been a prawn sandwich brigade support when he lived in manchester
  16. and double decked buses won't every time pc burrows opens his mouth i wonder what my cponcil tax to Hampshire Council is paying for no doubt he and his senior officers will not be travelling by bus
  17. only internet warriors
  18. just spoke to ticket office because online account shows 3 tickets but no e-mail and they have not taken money, told they allocated first then working way through taking money and sending e-mails, all should be done in a few days
  19. no difference there then, glad it is a c*ap draw because i have to work that Saturday
  20. too old to be a member but both sons were, birthday parties at the Dell, kick around in the gym, cards on their birthdays from favourite players. good days
  21. lots of assumptions about wage bill % etc, do we actually know. NA and NC appear to me to operate in a way which causes minimum disruption on style and first 11, I expect to see only 1 or maybe 2 new players in Jan but would not be surprised if none of those mentioned previously come here. I actually believe a striker is priority but would not be surprised to see a holding midfield player
  22. Not if we had made them pay for tickets upfront with a cleared payment
  23. if you watch saints 30 years ago you would
  24. Townhill Park, played against Terry at Under11, then at Sec Schools.had trials for Soton Boys together. Last time I saw him was in Castle Pub in Midanbury
