From a brief bit of research the Prague team is mostly made up of experienced players with two early 20's lads but no complete rookies. They were crap at SMS though, if we don't score it will be a poor show.

From Puel's comments I would be quite suprised if Boufal starts, especially as Tadic likely to miss Sunday. Could see Redmond behind Jay and Long in the formation you describe but we have been more of a standard 4-3-3 rather than diamond for a while now.

This will obviously never happen due to wages. Why do people lap up this stuff?

Fonte not even travelled again. Won't have played a single minute in Europe I don't think. So reliant on VVD ability to play every minute of every game. Good to see Boufal is fine though, especially as no Tadic.

This is a load of drivel. Yesterday was the exception not the rule as to how we play. We are not clinical, but are not a defensive team. Full backs alone demonstrate that.

Battered 0-0 really. Liverpool as good as anyone I've seen at SMS in the last couple of season, as much for their attitude and agility than anything else. We did what we had to but were zero threat. Having scored from open play in just 4 of 12 league games we are doing well to be 10th. Cedric, VVD and Forster our best performers today.

Seems like a rehash of countless other stories. Getting a bit tired of this particular angle now, especially when we have scored from open play in about 3 league games this season.

Seems fair enough. Everyone works for money at the end of the day and what he says about us finding it almost impossible to be 6th again is true.

She/They have invested a hell of a lot of money, very wisely, in the infrastructure of the club to help oversee the 'rise' since they took over. We have been acknowledged to be one of the best in terms of scouting, sports science and have a great Academy and TG with top facilities. That is brilliant. But that also needs continuous investment if we want to even remain where we are now. Other medium sized clubs are wise-ing up, look at the plans teams like Everton have infrastructure wise and further up the chain the transformation of Spurs. Once people see what you have done well, they look to replicate. If you begin to lack off even for a few months, then some of your advantage can be eroded. Not saying this will happen with Saints but its pretty clear that if we want to stay a top 10 PL side then eventually you need a transfer window with more outlay than incomings and that, in the face of competition, you will need to spend across the whole club to stay ahead. If she cannot support that then maybe it is the right time to appreciate the huge amount of great work they have done and sell. Presuming she believes any buyer can offer what she cannot. (Big presumption of course).

Alternative view: if the Liebherr's have decided to sell then it is better for us to be sold because we operate in a league/sport where no longer investing enough money can see a quick decline. Once they make that decision (to sell) then its better for a sale to happen (obviously to the right party) because its a sign they no longer see SFC as a long term investment.

Clearly because the Checkatrade trophy isn't a development opportunity for them. They have progressed beyond that. Its a development opportunity for the likes of Olomola, Sims, Hesketh. Which is why those players will continue to play in it and the likes of Hojbjerg and Redmond will never feature in it (besides the fact most of the games so far have clashed with either European or Intl games).
