  1. good analysis. terrible second half, but we deserved the 3 points on the first half showing. Its as good as we have played all season. We really are a mid table type of team. but a very strange game indeed.
  2. won ugly. Well in the second half anyway. 5 at the back slowed them down but also ruined us. Glad we made it. When you look back at the end of the season all you will see is the 3 lovely points. On anther day we will play well in the second half of a game and get nothing
  3. Good to se Ralph change this quickly, and Villa haven't scored, so it has worked, but we look disjoined with 3 CBs. The wing backs end up covering two players out wide. Not sure it's a long term solution to any problem. Ok for now though. 15 minutes for 3 points.
  4. fuck yellows. five game bans stops it right there. No manager would put up with it from a player. It would disappear from the game overnight.
  5. jesus. people. cheer up. we are playing well and fucking winning.
  6. he ain't been that good really. Personally, I wasn't terribly impressed with what I saw before we signed him. Thought he was OK, but no more than that. He's played to the level I thought he was, kind of `OK'. Plenty of time for him to develop though. KWP is far better on the right than left, but better option on left at present.
  7. amen.
  8. bloody hell we are playing some nice stuff at time. Some good decision making too. second goal please.
  9. his positional play ain't all that to be honest. Ball watches a bit too. A bit to learn there if he is gonna stay a fullback. Delivery on the other hand he's normally very good.
  10. McCarthy saving Salisu's blushes big style.
  11. JWP goal threat from open play. we've covered almost everything debated this week in the first half hour
  12. they've woken up already, and look slightly dangerous, but so do we. Good game.
  13. cheat. 5 game ban for faking injury. Fed up of it.
  14. Ha. I see what you did there. I'm surprised we've not had a few comments yet about creating chances without Redmond/Broja...
  15. brilliant play saints. just needed a big man at the back post.
  16. I'm saying, calling me MLG is cutting and hurts. 😉 Certainly am/will
  17. that some burn
  18. we battered Watford last week. You mean score a hat full though, right?
  19. boom. on his swinger too.
  20. shame. He's been playing well. Lets see if Stuart can find some form.
  21. you are kidding, right? You expect a 3-0 win? I'd only ever expect a 3-0 win from Saints if we were playing league 1, maybe even 2 opposition. As always, I hope for win, think we might be slight favourites, but expect nothing. It will be a very tough game.
  22. I don't see Diallo moving the ball all that much quicker or forward a great deal more than JWP. Both are water carrying crabs. That's their role by and large. Big difference is Diallo can actually dribble, while JWP can ping a dead ball. I think (hope) we have yet to see the best of Diallo. I think last two seasons have been peak JWP.
  23. Saints wise, Colin Clarke immediately sprung to mind, but not even sure he came alive. Definitely a fat bloke waddling about. The `do fuck all but put the ball in the back of the net' description made me think of Robbie Fowler for some reason, can't recall if he had an all round game or not, but the king of all poachers in the modern game has to have been Filippo Inzaghi.
  24. he has an excellent first touch, which enables him to play CM in a Prem side. Don't underestimate that. Mis-control and lose the ball in that area and you are royally fucked. It's great we have three players fighting it out for two shirts. Diallo will get his chance.
  25. if he was here a month, I'd agree, but he is here for an entire season. Are you really worried about our 2022/23 or 2023/24 season? They are all part of our squad. All Saints players. How they are contracted and for how long is not our concern. Come April and we are safe, then picking players that will be here next season makes sense, but let's get safe first shall we? He isn't actually blocking their path long term. He is the better choice at this time. If he doesn't sign in the summer then their path will become clear again. By then Armstrong will have a Prem season under his belt, all be it maybe not 38 starts and Che has had three seasons to make the position his own - its up to him to force the managers hand.
