we've got Taylor,ABK and Sanda as well. far too many in that position

I like what i've seen in the videos. Describing himself as the ugliest manager in the league is the kind of self-deprecation I can warm too when faced with non stop hyperbole and bullshit from most of the frauds in management positions. It's a massive and very difficult job with little room for error, but if the club can help shape a decent squad for him, I am hopeful he can get the best out of them. After the 9 month shitshow, it's time for some optimism.

Ws looking at recent Lens players and Still had Juma Bah on loan from Man City for the second half of the season. He was at Real Valladolid previously, before a messy buy out of his contract enabled him to join City. He's a 19 year old centre back. He's a proper unit, 6'5 but looks a little ungainly in his Youtube video.

I was kind of hoping you might chuck a name or two into the mix for discussion, but if no one has caught your eye outside of SFC, no worries.
-
it's not the lack of muscle it's the lack of grit. He has positive attributes, but a central midfielder without bite is an issue for me.
-
Sheffield United offered £7m in 2023. He subsequently had a decent season in the championship, so maybe he stock rose? He won't have PL clubs after him, and not many clubs in the championship have money to spend...so difficult to value as you say.

I know you have been saying the players we have will be OK in the lower league, but any players you fancy that might strengthen us MLG?
-
When Ramsdale departs, GK becomes an issue as big as those.
-
As always, I am hoping the manager will bring a wealth of player information his previous league(s) enabling us to sign some hidden gems. Hasn't happened since Koeman.

QPR's assistant manager incoming?
-
very smart move by him/agent to increase his uk profile
-
all three have contracts, so likely they will be in the squad next season.
-
What about his poor first touch and passing? the championship is much more forgiving, but he didn't look a good player this season in any facet of the game.
-
I would hope he watches every single one and then has clear thoughts as to what data he wants to back what he sees with his yes and hopefully we have the data analysis technology and structure in place to provide him with that information. However, even if he does all that, gets the information he needs to make good decisions, his hands will still be tied by player contracts and offers received for players. With so few players out of contract, the slate isn't exactly clean.
-
You are probably right. Both parties will want a move, again, but finding a home will be tough. Perhaps the reduction of wage on relegation (assuming he has one) will help facilitate it.
-
No, contracts are not usually renegotiated. If they have 2 years left of their contract, go out on loan for a year, then, when they return, they will have one more year remaining.
-
Borussia Mönchengladbach too.
-
after two good seasons, he only scored 8 goals this season.
-
Looking forward to an interesting summer then. Hopefully this reboot will have the same success as Burnleys last summer, only with added goals.

Likewise. We need to add some flair, especially if Dibling and Fernandes depart. If they don't, then we have Dibling, Fraser, Sulemana and Edozie. So, will the club look to shift a couple in order to free space to bring someone in?
-
Yep. I wonder who is going to buy them though? At the time, I thought we should have perhaps sold Archer to Leeds, assuming they made a decent offer, but that ship will have sailed. I can't imagine AA or BBD will particularly want to return having been shoved out on loan, but perhaps a new manager will make them feel at home? If not, at least they will be keen for a move and wont dig their heals in. Onuachu is another that wont dig his heals in, but the offer has to be right, otherwise the club won't sell - we have seen that several times already.
-
Feels very similar to the Jack Grealish situation when Villa went down. He showed flashes of brilliance in the PL, but needed to do it week in week out. I might be wrong, but I think Dibling's early season performances might have caught the eye more than what Grealish did in the couple of season in the OL before they were relegated. Whether its enough to justofy the fee we will be looking for, we will have to see. Clearly he can play in the PL, so he will be wanted. The question is, how much.
-
I'm always excited about the summer window, but it's tapered by the knowledge that we have to shift quite a few players first. We have so many players in certain positions. We have CBs coming out our ears, four left backs and numerous strikers that none of us fancy.
-
Saints are mentioned as 'another club with an interest' in an article about Hearts' James Penrice possibly going to WBA in the summer. He's a left back that won their POTS. Hard to see us signing players in a lot of positions until we have some departures. We wont be adding to Wellington, Manning, Taylor and Larios unless a few leave.
-
Yes, he's contracted until 2026, but the club can extend it a further 12 months. If clubs have only seen him in the second half of the season they wouldn't be interested, but most will have watched him for several years and know he is a prodigious talent that has now shown he can do it at this top level. The club will receive plenty of enquiries this summer, but all low ball bids will be batted away. If someone wants him, they will have to pay through the nose even if he did fail to impress in the second half of the season.
