  1. You'd think that deal would not be concluded until KWP or Bree departure actually happened.
  2. Just for balance, Kane scored 16 goals in 56 games out on loan (that was in league 1, championship and 3 games in the Prem for Norwich)
  3. Just thinking of available squad places, would that not require one of Stewart/Mara to depart (go out on loan)?
  4. Nice. Hope they are not the only ones to get loan moves.
  5. If Che re-signs, are we realistically going to sign another striker?
  6. He's done alright, but I agree, not exactly dominated games. One player who has `ripped up trees' is Murillo, who is now valued at £70m. Cost them just £10m. I hope we can sign a few players this summer that are worth £70m in a season or two.
  7. More sliding tackles in that video than I saw our whole team make last season. Not a lot of ball skills or passing shown. Dialo looked amazing in his YouTube video, so gonna reserve judgement.
  8. nah, June of 44.
  9. Linked with Everton, so he might be waiting to see if Onana moves
  10. Buy Sara from Norwich. Better player than Reed IMO.
  11. We are a passing team that wants to keep the ball. To do that in the Prem you have to have some talent and there seems to be plenty there. In recent times there has been some crazy prices for guys in the last year of their contract, but you'd hope he was in the £15m not the £30m range. Still a sizeable chunk of change though - and we only have so much to spend. I keep reading on here that the low costs guys will help us spend on players elsewhere. I assume that is at DCM and striker, having already spent £20m on a CB (the right back situation will pay for itself). Is there going to be funds to spend on a winger or will we go low fee on Fraser only?
  12. We may not have bid, West Ham may not have accepted and Ings may not have turned us down if the first two happened. I think the only thing you can be sure about is that as he heads closer to the end of his career, there is absolutely no reason for him to move unless the money offered (be that by the buyer or a combination of seller and buyer) matches his current deal.
  13. Hed offer something different. Sulemana doesn't have the vision or passing ability of Asprilla in any shape or form. Not sure they are competing for the same shirt though. Asprilla played almost exclusively on the right wing for Watford, but in a lot of the youtube clips (and in the game at SMS) he seemed to drop deep and play through balls to others running beyond him - making me think he could be deployed as an attacking midfielder rather than just an out and out winger. Possibly more of a David Brooks replacement, assuming we don't sign him (not a lot of talk about that happening on here).
  14. Seeing as Simon Banza is currently being linked to a move to the middle east, I might need a new `favourite' HCDAJFU and Asprilla might fit the role perfectly. I thought he looked tremendous at SMS. He really stood out in terms of touch and how much time that afforded him. My only criticism was that he dropped too deep in an effort to see more ball, and I felt much more comfortable from a Saints point of view with him a long way from goal. Watching his youtube video it's noticeable just how good his range of passing is. It's a cliche, but he has a lovely left foot. I think he won their young player and players player award, so it obviously wasn't an isolated good game. I know we can't buy every talent from the championship last season, Clarke, Carvalho, Greaves...etc, but it would be nice if we grab at least one. Only have a year left on his current contract, so if he is good enough for the Prem, then Watford probably will need to cash in this summer to avoid him walking on a free.
  15. is he the lad that looked the nuts at SMS?
  16. In truth, we don't even know if THB is good enough yet. His errors weren't punished last season. They will be this. Its going t be very interesting to see how he and AA (coming in off the right where he looked far better) perform.
  17. Over the course of the x year deal we have, I'd like to see Puma give us an innovative `stripe' that is loved and hated in equal measure, but 20 years down the line is looked at fondly because we were bloody great to watch in.
  18. why does that mean we cant loan him?
  19. I hate watching Gakpo. He's bloody great.
  20. the question is, have our scouts actually done any scouting in Brazil either?
  21. several somebodies need to shine though.
  22. if we signed these four lads last summer, I think we'd be wondering if they were good enough to get us promoted.
  23. hasn't there always been?
  24. is the three-way love triangle (Che Adams-Dominic Calvert-Lewin-Callum Wilson) back on?
  25. if that's the case, he must have learned how to pass to teammates while at Spurs
