hopefully badly, although who knows, they have lots of foreign players maybe more used to that anyway. Anyway, let's hope it goes badly as we are going to need as many teams as possible to struggle or go through rough periods hopefully all just as we are about to play them.

not sure it is a dig. Cork knows Poch has played at the very highest level and was reasonably experienced as a manager (although less than Koeman perhaps). That said, having been outstanding in 2012/13 and then dropped completely, not even used as a substitute in the early part of the season must have done his head in. It did mine. Possibly the single biggest mistake during Pochs time as Saints manager.

I'm with this too. Can't stand the black shorts. Much prefer a navy as per the kits of 1891- 1950
-
Has anyone actually seen him play? His name is bandied about a lot on here, but I haven't really read anything suggesting he's the next big thing. If he is good enough fine, but the academy well will eventually run dry. It's not a talent conveyor belt, we've just had a very good patch. Young players will keep coming through, I have no doubt about that, but at this level it's about finding one or two absolute top quality players, as we have in Shaw and chambers, not a never ending supply of alright players.
-
I believe this fella knows what he is talking about. The new kit is pretty much there in front of your eyes.
-
There was the odd decent player in that side too, not that I don't think the genius was great.
-
Ruddy made far too many errors last season for my liking. Would be an upgrade on Gazza though.
-
Are you suggesting probate took three years to complete?
-
No need to tell the other players
-
Always thought Morgan was the most likely to go to be honest. Doesn't make me feel any better seeing it actually happen. Not sure about Spurs as Dembele is a beast, but an absolutely perfect signing for Arsenal.
-
The deals for Shaw and Lallana were being negotiated long before lambert left. Him leaving had bearing on the other two deals IMO.
-
Is that your prediction? With or without Morgan and Lovren?
-
Strange you have that memory seeing as Lallana never left the bench in that game. Just for the record we played 442 with Walcott on one side Dyer the other and best and mcgoldrick up front.
-
Not sure about £60m, but agree with your post.

Things change. Getting a move to Liverpool, champions league football and a £25m contract were a million miles away at that point. My advice to you is to not bother listening to manager and player interviews because they are all a complete waste of time. It's all a load of ********, with them just saying exactly what the fans want to hear. Just watch the football...

Abso ****ing lutely. We had the best squad in years and this was the season to go for the cup win. Wasted opportunity that might come round for a long long time.
-
Probably there were one or two Leeds fans saying the same thing as Cantona walked out their door.
-
Lose Morgan and Lovren and avoiding relegation might be the order of the day. Take top class players out of a side and all you have left is mediocrity and at this level that won't win games. Yes the money is there, but signing players that are good enough and hit the ground running is far from easy. Even the best managers and scouts get it wrong and who knows if we have either at the helm. What will be...
-
Don't get me wrong, I'm bitterly disappointed to see these players leave, and for figures well below what I value them at, but having said that do you not think it was now or never for Lallana?
-
Our side is being decimated, dismantled and stripped of its best talent and you think we will compete with Liverpool next season. Probably is not the word I'd use.
-
I keep reading this phrase conveyor belt when it comes to the academy. It's not a conveyor belt at all. We have just had a rich vain of top class players coming through, but that won't happen every year and it certainly won't happen in every position time after time. Targett might not even make it, never mind be outstanding. Players will need to be bought.
-
Just saw that photo on page 31 of Shaw holding up a man u shirt. All I can think of to sum up how I feel is `****ety bye'.
-
That's a very good point.
-
Agreed. If we wanted a stronger squad you retain your best players and replace your weakest with the massive tv money.
-
A really top notch player or a load of cash that may or may not be well spent. I know which I'd prefer. Mind you that choice didn't really exist as the player wanted out.
