  1. Perez out! Only kidding like.
  2. I think you've posted this using the wrong login details. Nice though.

    Maya Yoshida

Jos wasn't sloppy and didn't play aimless long balls to no one in particular at all in this match. Preach your preconceived opinions and stereotypical descriptions to someone else thanks.
  4. Exactly the sort of thread a skate would start. Are you a ****ing skate Saint Charlie?

    Maya Yoshida

I don't rate Maya. I openly admit it. He has been Chris Perry mark II in my eyes. That said, I am very happy to say he has played well in the last few games and I particularly like the fact he is getting stuck in more. I hope that continues as it improves his game tenfold. A nasty Maya is worth having in the squad. But his passing at times is terrible. Not just wayward, but dangerous. He is an accident waiting to happen, just as you will no doubt say Jos is too. I guess every player makes mistakes, so all defenders are accidents waiting to happen to some extent, but Maya creates problems for us out of nothing. As for Jos, he, like Fox will always struggle at this level due to his lack of pace. He does compensate to a degree by his strength in the air as he showed against Carroll at West ham! where he had him in his pocket. What I have always said about Jos and Maya is that they will do a job when called upon. As reserve centre backs they are not too bad. There are worse 3rd and 4th choice centre backs.Neither are starters. Neither has been a starter. Maya has, as I said, been good recently and Jos was good towards the end of last season. That is of course is forgotten after a clumsy own goal or two, but that's understandable. He has looked very slow this season. He never was quick and maybe we can do better once his contract expires, but I obviously have a blind spot for him. I just can't make myself slate him after getting us promoted. In my eyes his signing changed our season and without him we would never have got promoted, so I'll continue to cut him far far far too much slack knowing full well that a bad own goal might be just around the corner. Back to this thread, Yoshida passing straight to a Sunderland player 30 yards from goal leaving us wide open has absolutely nothing to do with Jos failings. Yoshida ****ed us and he, not Jos should be getting it in the neck, just as Jos did when he last made a mistake. But unsurprisingly Maya seems to have got a pass and the attention is diverted to Jos, despite him doing absolutely nothing wrong in the game. Slate Jos when he plays badly not when he plays well.
  6. Win today and we could still achieve what we want in the league. West ham is next Saturday not midweek isn't it?
  7. So you'd rather finish above United than win the cup because you think there is more chance of doing it? You are allowed to dream of achieving things you don't expect to happen.
  8. What's the point of getting promoted if, once in the top division, you don't use that financial advance to try and win the cup competitions? We might struggle next season in the league meaning the cups will HAVE to be sacrificed.
  9. You are right there are a few OTT posts, but it's good too see some passionate fans that value the cup and feel the pain of a cup exit.
  10. I wonder if it's the smaller crowds and muted atmosphere that leads to substandard performances. The pace was slow from the off and the only time we looked sharp was when their crowd started roaring as they tried to press. We responded immediately with sharp passing that turned defence into attack. But then the atmosphere returned to norm and so did the sharpness of our play.
  11. Not worse than WBA away last season.
  12. The goal was clearly down to Yoshida, yet some poster earlier tried to suggest that Yoshida only plays poorly because he has to play with Jos. Total garbage. Thought Jos had a solid game today by the way.
  13. Me neither. Not everyone can be right.
  14. Nothing wrong with having a different opinion, but 8th and a cup final or 7th and no cup final? Total no brainer.
  15. If he wasn't allowed to play he wouldn't have been on the bench.
  16. Lallana saying this was the biggest game of the season doesn't tally with what you are saying though does it?
  17. Heard it all now. Teams don't want to win the fa cup because they might get into Europe. What a load of tosh. If teams are that bothered about the strain they will play their reserves out as spurs have done. Do fans just want another 27 years of premiership nothingness? For all we know tHis might have been our best chance in the next 50 years to win the cup...win today worry about the consequences of winning...well never really.
  18. Was Boruc injured? If not then we didn't put our strongest side out. The possible injuries and tiredness of outfield players becomes irrelevant. MP didn't put his best possible side out, and you have to ask why?

    Maya Yoshida

Yoshida gives the ball away needlessly which leads directly to the goal, but still Jos manages to come in for stick. Quality skapegoating.
  20. Don't buy this at all. Win the cup and put out a youth team in the first round of the Europa cup if the club is that worried about effect on league form.

    Maya Yoshida

Yoshida totally to blame for goal in my opinion.
  22. Yoshida woeful there
  23. Only young of course, but he is a bit of a passenger in some games I have seen him in. Needs to get more involved than just taking corners.
  24. Harsh yellow for Davis. Actually the yoshida one was a tad harsh too. I hope Dean is consistent when they start fouling us in the second half.
