  1. you can never have too many attacking talents. Having said that I just can't see City, United, Chelsea or Arsenal signing him as they have lots tricky of `in the hole' type midfielders, so Liverpool is the natural fit for Lallana, apart from staying with is and becoming MLT mark II.
  2. it just might be a smokescreen by Krueger to ensure there is that little bit of surprise when stripes are revealed. The club know this is what the fans want and at this rate good news might be in short supply in the summer so this could divert fans attention.

    Dani Osvaldo

Can't see him in a Saints shirt, but also can't see him leaving until the 12th hour of the transfer window, and then only on loan, leaving us with no chance of using his wages on an alternative. I suspect we'll get no loan fee and have to pay some of his wages too. Nightmare scenario.
  4. they certainly seem to buy the right striker replacements for those they sell. Torres, Aguero, Falcao, Costa
  5. He's irreplaceable IMO.
  6. Been saying it all season that he is the best left back in the league. That makes him a premium player which demands a premium price. £27m isn't a premium price. They paid that for Fellaini. They paid that for Rooney ten years ago. Mata at £37m is more like it. Our fans and the media seriously undervalue some of our players.
  7. Could not agree more. The only thing more depressing than losing these two is considering how average the likely replacements will be. I've seen Bertrand mentioned for example. He is a. Million miles off Shaw.
  8. are you Morgan Schneiderlin?
  9. Has England ever had a weaker likely starting back four going into a world cup?
  10. perhaps you can explain to them how they keep a player who fancies trebling their wages, play champions league football, challenge for titles etc.? The club doesn't want to let these guys go. But they are not slaves. If they want to move, the club has to negotiate the best possible deal and let them go. It's sad, as we all want to envision Saints holding on to every star and then adding one or two each season until eventually we are a top four side, but sadly that isn't ever going to happen.
  11. He's the best left back in the league. How much are the best Players in the league currently worth to their clubs? Hart £40m Shaw ? Company £30m Zabaleta £30m Hazard £50m Toure £40m Suarez £70m Aguero £65m
  12. I thought there was contact, but my pal said he went down soooo easily.
  13. I think you underestimate the effect losing Shaw will have on the side. Decent can become average very easily.
  14. Simply taking off Kagawa and bringing on Carrick changed the game completely and United ran us ragged in the second half. Funny how every time we take off Cork we turn to ****. What today did show was just how tough it will be next season should Lallana and Shaw depart.
  15. Does anyone know what his pay was before he joined the club. When banks advise billionaires on what sports club to spend their money on do they pay that company millions and subsequently does that bank pay it's executive millions? Perhaps he earned a lot more at SFC than he would if he had continued at Banque Heritage. I bow to superior knowledge here.
  16. Will players now be encouraged to step off the coach with headphones on?
  17. One thing manure away fans aren't is plastic. You have to spend a bloody fortune going to games to make sure you clock up enough points to get future tickets. A lot easier to follow your team when you win on a regular basis perhaps, but they still make the comittment. Some may have been Glory hunters for selecting united in the first place maybe, but United have a tremendous away support and if everyone was honest we live it when they come to town - and go away with nothing...
  18. Yep. We paid a sizeable fee for Stevens, any idea if there was one for Gallagher?
  19. Good work on the mock ups, mirroring the current pitch design perfectly, but for me they look like something Exeter would go for if you know what I mean.
  20. It's the blue trim that makes the red and white stripes look better. Time for us to return to the navy blue shorts enabling the blue be carried into the shirt.
  21. Both were woeful in the games I saw them play in.
  22. This is how I feel. Our very best players, shaw, Morgan and Lallana are simply being sold short by the press and some of our fans. The going rate for the cream of the crop has gone up and with the latest sky deal there is even more money burning a hole in chairmans pockets.
  23. How many of these WUM are skates getting their own back for the sleepers on POL?
  24. Really? I thought you could see immediately that he had it.
  25. You are saying that teams are usually better off (and I mean in terms of the quality and performances of the squad the following season) holding on till the end of the window to sell for more money, but having less time to buy their replacements? I don't want us to sell at all and holding out for a bidding war might be the best idea. I don't know. He could get injured in the World Cup.
