  1. The neutral fan, ie the guy sat in front of the tv, is what pays the player wages these days.
  2. The Chelsea line up and display is as if they are lower league side not a team that has had hundreds Of millions spent on it. It's depressing seeing a talent like Willian being asked to just track runners all game. I get the feeling this is what it's going to be like watching England this summer, backs against the wall rather than taking sides on.
  3. Always rated him. Looks fitter than in his previous loan spell at Athletico. Wonder if he has sorted his head out too.
  4. I feel sorry for Lampard having to do Mikels running for him. Other than hold his position, or in other words stand around in front of the back four, can anyone tell me what Mikel actually does? Slow, lazy talentless footballer.
  5. I'm with SC. I worry more about being stuck with him all summer with no only his fee but his wages preventing us signing a replacement. Not my money but £7m sounds about the most we could expect seeing as it's a buyers market for him.
  6. interesting observation in that 97596th post on this thread.
  7. er, I think its a message from Saints fans to the skate below.
  8. There is currently a plane flying over Fratton with the message always looking up at us SFC behind it. Nice.
  9. Good point. Perhaps is because most agree with him though that Wanyama gives the ball away almost every pass over 5 yards.
  10. Wonderfully put. Could not agree more.
  11. Thank you PFC so much for mirroring the UK bankers in terms of ethical business practices and enabling our flying wardrobe to grab easy votes for just mentioning your floundering (no pun intended) piece of **** name in the house a few times. Lots of love, and don't forget to vote, Cammo. ;-)
  12. so they could have paid for the repairs within the existing budget/business plan, without diluting the shareholding of the trust members after all?
  13. he did spent a few quid in the window, but in Prem terms a pittance Wayne Hennessey £3m Joe Ledley £2.5m Jason Puncheon £1.25m Scott Dann £3m
  14. Gerald Vernon-Jackson and the lib dems save them with the council loan, but the flying wardrobe has the skates vote it would seem going by the applause at the trust meeting tonight.
  15. That will be because the Shakers budget is almost non existent.
  16. Morgan, Lallana or Shaw to depart? I really struggle to pick one player from those that I wouldn't feel really gutted about leaving. Perhaps Shaw as he's only been around a short time, but the hole left when Bridge and Bale went in both defensive and attack was huge and miserably filled. it won't be better filled this time - how can it be - the lad is top draw. I suspect if you look at the stats over the last few years you will find that we hardly ever win without Morgan, he really is some player and extremely underexposed thankfully. As for Adam, well the thought of not seeing his Cruyff turns bamboozling fullbacks is not a good one. He lights up games and is a rare talent that we have been fortunate to watch for the last five or size years. All things must come to an end I guess? Wouldn't it be great if this one didn't?
  17. Not sure he is a long way off the finished article, he is already head and shoulder above most left backs in the prem.
  18. There were plenty of other reasons for fans not renewing and I imagine it was a lot more than 700 as there will always be new ST holder too.
  19. Obviously you can't answer but why last post ever?
  20. Very disappointed although not surprised in the price rise. With the huge rise in tv money they don't need to milk us for every last penny. But of course they will. My ticket edges towards £700. Crazy. The need to renew by May 30th takes the **** too. It was end of June last season. Are our best players leaving?
  21. Fans seem to crave consistency, well, you certainly don't get more consistent than that - beating the teams that are worse than us and lose to the ones that are better.
  22. I feel the same way and also liked the crop circling Fabrice Fernandes - perhaps anyone that witnessed him running rings round Middlesbrough would feel the same. Ramirez certainly does frustrate at times with his eye of the needle passing attempts, but their is plenty of room in our squad for a player like that. As good as Cork, Morgan, Wanyama and JWP might be, you need players that can unlock a defence and I still feel he will be the player to do just that. It's not like he's close to 30 either. That Branford side really was bad wasn't it?
  23. he'll be the hardest to shift in my opinion. It's a buyers market with him, and I suspect teams will wait to the absolute very last minute of the window before taking him on loan, with no fee involved and maybe even us paying some wages.
  24. he's had a very good season overall though.

    Wooden Floors

I have stripped pine floors downstairs and they look good, but be warned that they don't exactly help keep the house warm. That said, not having carpets ensures your house gets the air it needs. I have carpets upstairs and that minimises the noise.
