What does that actually mean? If a player asks for a transfer the club just says no and you are in exactly the same position you were before he asked for a transfer aren't you? Handing in transfer requests these days seems to just be players willing to forgo their entitled loyalty payment to make the transfer more palatable to the owning club.

Gotcha. In which case I have no reason to doubt its validity. Danielle Kelly certainly is a friend of Amy Lambert on Facebook. Whether he goes is a different story. I guess the right offer has to come. Shame that all three England players appear, if you believe the papers, to have all but agreed moves which no doubt will be announced after the World Cup. It's not going to be the same watching the games knowing for sure they are Saints players.

I love these threads, they really show the passion/mental nature of the fans on this forum.
-
I notice that there is no @amylambert tag next to the name. Does that mean it's a fake? I certainly can't find that user on twitter.
-
it's called the `Hoddle Tactic'. Give them a manager that fails and you have one less team above you come the end of the season! Some patience is required as it's a two season approach.

No wonder he's leaving, despite him offering to stay forever we still didn't add him to the legends banner. Even if he goes, I'd still have him ahead of KK.
-
How much more is it to buy your seat after the deadline? Best of luck with the job.
-
Are you suggesting that Sims, S eager and Targett will more than makeup for losing Shaw and Lallana next season? I've not seen anything of those three players, but they must be ****ign brilliant for that to be true.
-
Enjoyable, but preferred the 1989/90 season myself. Actually the 2002/3 season too.
-
If we hang on to Shaw I could not give a ****. The key is getting a manager in that can entice him to stay. Or is it too late for that?
-
Managers never seem to get appointed having spoken to the media saying how they fancy the job.
-
I am not saying I want Hughton, but I suspect the WGS appointment would have had the exact same kind of post.
-
I guess I could be mistaken, and I'm sure there is some counter argument, but wasn't it Kats money, albeit inherited, that got us out of league 1, through the championship and up to 8th in the top flight? If you want to know ever least sinew and get statements from the club every two minutes then what you need is a fan owned club, but I seem to recall that window of opportunity closed.

Just Skates trying to make saints fans look poxy revealing themselves
-
WGS brought us success after pretty much every fan was disappointed with his appointment, so it's hard to say who would and who wouldn't be the right appointment. It would be fascinating to see how Moyes would fare. Huge step down though for him.

And boy did he waste it signing Greening, Boatang and Derbyshire.

And if we are talking of painful defeats the one away at Norwich is certainly one that sticks in my mind. Part 2 I have to say the two red cards looked justified despite always thinking we were hard done by. Mind you the kick on le Tiss by Fleck isn't caught on camera. This was certainly when the FA cup meant something. Very memorable cup run with the Man U and Bolton wins. First ever mid week away game for me. I recall saints fans were livid with the ref and some of the Norwich players, not to mention the Norwich fans taunted them. one saints fan climbed over the fence into the no mans land between the two sets of fans and attempted to climb into the home fans to take them all on. Crazy. Saints fans were kept in at the end and all he'll broke lose with a fight with police. I caught a policemans helmet that had been knocked off and thrown down into the fans.

These two really take me back. Although we eventually lost the replay, and I recall it being a very painful defeat, it's still worth watching the games if only for Glen's left foot half volley, which is absolutely sensational. What a goal. Keep an eye for the father and son celebrating in the home end;-) Replay here.

Works for me. Something slightly exotic about Hummel kits (slightly undermined by Villa having them).
-
The newspapers would need to know the source first and getting to that might take a little time. I might've wrong but I did read that the original poster may have removed it, so perhaps doesn't want to be found.
-
He was the one player in that poor skate side that looked decent when we played at nottarfkrap. Not sure he has ever been able to replicate that style and time in the ball when playing in the top flight for WBA.
-
Can't get enough of that 1990 season
-
I like Milner, as a centre midfielder as he was at Villa, but not out wide. Is Hodgson really going to start him? Seems strange considering the options he has in chamberlain, Lallana and Stirling.
-
I wonder how much QPR are going to want for him?
-
This is certainly the thread for championship manager fans. Wish I still had the time to play. My brummie friend tells me they have a couple of decent youngsters coming through Birminghams ranks that are being linked with prem sides. The last time he suggested players we might sign it was Redmond and Butland and that was long before we ever got a glimpse of them. Reece Brown and Demarai Gray are supposedly the next big thing. Not seen them myself, but maybe someone on here has seen them playing for England Under 17s? Possibly more youngsters is not what we need, but there won't be an endless conveyor belt from our academy. Like football in general it will goes through cycles and it might be a while before genuine top class players come through. We've certainly taken our share in recent times.
