you hope we are willing to pay more than the going rate to get our man you mean?

is £20k a week being frugal or deluded?

standing on the very back row, so perhaps your view was better than mine. But let me just say that I haven't been so calm at a Saints game since the JPT final. They had nothing as a side, and he didn't worry me at all. He may well have been their best player (not hard), but he was still very unimpressive and I came away disappointed as I knew we had been linked. Sluggish is the term I'd of used. They only looked to have any threat when Platt came on. He offered a genuine physical threat. Miller on the other hand was a nightmare and if he hadn't gone off Forest may well have won that game. He had strength, pace and held the ball up well bringing others into the game well. Better players around will have helped I guess. Opinions, opinions. I've seen LJ once live. If I was going to buy a striker for millions I'd watch him at least four or five times. Perhaps you've seen him more times than me. I hope he is brilliant if he's signing on Monday.

Spurs bought Hutton who turned out to be pretty ****. They weren't top four then. Everton signed McFadden in 2003 and got in the champions league 2 seasons later. Liverpool bought Daniel Wilson from Rangers in 2010. Again they weren't top four either. Sunderland spent £9m on Craig Gordon from Hearts. and Villa bought Petrov. I'd like to say Henrik Larsson, but he went via Barca and Helsingborg as the top four would certainly have taken him if they could.

it's certainly winnable. Get a result at draw Forest and maybe beat Leicester and we'll be full of confidence for this game. I notice Bristol City beat Millwall home and away too. D&R are third bottom in league 2. I think they sold their best player - Green - a while back.

McCann seriously undermined my opinion of the Scottish league, although Jos has helped increase it, but playing in front of 60,000 fans, winning things and European football surely mean we'd have to pay a fortune in wages to get him to move. Getting their 5th choice CB is one thing, but their star striker? Maybe the posters on here pointing to a flawed transfer policy are actually right.

He sold him for £2.4M, which makes a big difference as Celtic aren't going to sell him for less than they bought him seeing as he has done well there. For that reason it seems like a non starter to me.

how do you embed youtube songs?

I didn't think about them. Sorry chaps, when we get to Wembley perhaps the missed Derby game won't hurt so much.
-
Obviously. Getting through to the next round is more important to me than whether Derby is on a Saturday or midweek.
-
how many aways to get one of the 950 tickets at D&R I wonder?
-
who cares?
-
a ballot, blimey, there's only three weeks before the tie, our lot need about two months to sort out a ballot.
-
wasn't for Cov
-
Millwall have that second tier should enough fans want to go.
-
Excellent draw. D&R was a fantastic day out match when we played them in league 1 and Millwall away brings back memories of a brilliant night in 2003
-
we'll get Everton or Millwall

I'm one of the deluded people. Lallana will be.

after the less than positive reception to Lee by some on here (especially the need to wait whilst he obtains a work permit) it's interesting that West Ham are interested in their own Japanese player http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/west-ham-offer-trial-to-japan-international-striker-14714 but he only gets a trial and has even less chance of obtaining a work permit. SFC, leading the way...

could not agree with you more. Some players are welcome back but not this ******, no matter how much I rated him whilst he was here.
-
good point, but don't confuse players that plat in league 1 for players that are of league 1 standard. Just because we are top of the league shouldn't mean we shouldn't buy players from teams below us in the football pyramid.

the skates are fairly solid and Chelsea haven't been pulling up any trees so they might just get that result. Good time for Torres to show his worth...
-
chelski have sold out though, so they'll earn a few bob out of it.

I also fancy a trip to Japan this year. Unfortunately work means I can only go in June or July. June appears to be rainy season, what abut July, is it rediculously humid in Tokyo and southwards? Could you recommend a beach resort/town as I'd like a 3-4 days lapping up the sun then back to the sightseeing.

Is Hooper any good. I've never seen him play.
