a man brutally kills two young girls and next minute your fella asks you to provide a false alibi for him. She protected a child killer.
-
in such tough times wouldn't it be prudent for the current government to put an end to this ex PM annual handout. "We're in this together" my arse.
-
her crime specifically was knowingly protecting a child killer. Sounds like great mother material to me.

you do realise we're winning football games and that means complaints about ripping off fans is currently not allowed, please wait until this wonderful upturn starts to waiver. By the way complaints can be made via a form here http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/SupporterServices Have to laugh at the 2011-12 fans charter containing an advert for corporate packages. What a waste of space this document is and how many key items in the original charter no longer appear?

sounds like an excuse that could be used to get away with almost anything: `agreed between police and the club'. I, like you, fail to understand the logic to this as there is absolutely no reason why the bus ticket could not be given to a different person after it has been collected. Is there a possibility of us paying for registered post, as for many it would be cheaper than driving to SMS.
-
why on earth will they not post the bloody coach tickets? Is that part of the typical `bubble' regulations? Amanda can you comment on that?
-
he means that those that are going to skate game at **** park will have to pay for parking at SMS on top of the £12 coach fee, whereas before car parkign fees were brought in, those that travelled by coach to away games could park their car for free. My guess is that those one or spaces you mention might be hard to get when there are several thousand Saints fans needing to catch the `bubble' coach from SMS.

Boro had pace up front, one or decent footballers in middle, but that was about it, we bullied them up top, restricted them to channel balls and quite frankly I don't see them as a threat for the title at all. Far far too lightweight at centre half and down the middle. We, on the other hand look like title contenders and we on a different level. I still have yet to see a better side than us, if we can keep our intensity and confidence then this ball is just going to keep rolling. Davis 6 some great sweeping otherwise we might have had a spot of bother, palmed away a few relatively easy long strikes, safety first I suppose, one poor kick when under no pressure, one poor kick when under pressure. Perhaps the defenders out to handle a few more balls rather than passing backwards so often - they clearly trust him more than the fella sat next to me. Butterfield 7 legs have gone but you wouldn't know it from this performance, immaculate positioning and choice making. Prefer Richardson every time, but on this display I'm extremely thankful he is our back up. Fonte 7 the pace of Emnes meant he didn't have the opportunity to dive in and because of that he looked much more solid than recent weeks. Kept his defending simple and that's what we need more of. Jos 10 didn't put a foot wrong. One wonderful diagonal pass showed Fox how it is done. Strong in the air and didn't give the strikers a yard all game. Best game in a Saints shirt. Fox 7 just one hollywood ball all game, which was crap, but strong and fiesty and solid again. Improving ever game. Very good first touch indeed, just needs to pass it short to Lallana more often. Harding isn't going to shift him soon. Cork 7 much better than last week, but not quite at his best. His touch and decision making were not as good as earlier in the seasonn, but he is busy and he worked hard as usual. Hammond 7 strong display again and bossed the middle when we played through it, although there was a lot more direct stuff this week which worked well. Composed and touch spot on. Chaplow 10 another outstanding all action display. What more could you ask of a midfielder? Every blade on the pitch covered and broke up the play time after time. Composed on the ball and didn't give it away either. Absolute top of his game right now. Lallana 7 first touch immaculate and that makes all the difference at this level, he just never gives it away and that means we keep the ball and we get the ball into dangerous areas. Brilliant crossing. Looked knackered after 5 minutes but got second wind and did very well in the first half. Tired as you'd expect and didn't see a lot of the ball second half. Lambert 9 Bullied their centre backs and won everything in the air. A few duff passes/controls but considering how involved he was in everything you'd have to expect a mis placed pass now and then. Brilliant showing. Guly 8 great headed goal, but decent display to go with it. Much much more dangerous than Connelly has been. Strong in the air and linked the play well. Thought we struggled when he went off. Morgan usual careful touch and passing Connelly well of the pace when he came on, but got in the right area for his goal and nice finish de Ridder full of running and looked a threat

book has closed on Howe getting the job, but that obviously means sod all. Brian Laws rumour going about. Perfect for them.

agree with the sentiment, but playing in this league is only good if your are winning on a regular basis. I didn't see too many enjoying the season before we got relegated. The trouble is to win games in this league you need quality players, don't go up and those quality players leave and the side then struggles. Replacing Lallana is almost impossible whilst being in the championship. So we have no choice but to go up and keep the club going forward. Stay down and we'll go backwards very quickly and before you know it you are back in league 1.
-
bit easier to stay loyal when you are winning European cups and earning more money at a club than you'd get anywhere else.
-
going on the display at SMS in the cup, every time.
-
love him as a player, gives absolutely everything and if he was free from injury I would take him without a second thought.
-
he was a season ticket holder at Fratton Park - there's your reason
-
He's not as bad as some like to make out, but I don't understand why we signed him on a 3 year deal. He was a Scunny reject. They were rock bottom of the league and he couldn't get near the first team. Very strange signing. Why didn't we just loan him?
-
Much smaller away crowd on a Monday night. Shame as I like the games with a big following. Adds to the atmosphere. Upshot is they have less backing I suppose.
-
fair point, but that means I don't want to hear that often used line of `we must focus on staying up' by Saints if and when we get promoted. Once up you will have your best team for years and therefore best chance of winning the thing.
-
very decent support. The skate game looks like 3-4 tickets to me with Reading, Swindon, Palace and Bristol all attracting sizeable away crowds
-
also surprised he has not been loaned out, but awful is way too harsh.
-
strictly speaking Shaun started at Forest, although they released him before going pro I think.
-
It was a poor pass to no one, all be it from a tight area. Not great stuff. The question is how much trouble would we have been in if Hammond had not dived in. IMO there would have been a massive gap in midfield and Hammond had got his first for the exact same reason - counter attack down the middle. Whether Hammond could have changed direction and stayed with the Reading player is debatable. I think he had to go for the tackle, so Guly must take some blame. I didn't think his all round game was too bad. Cork and DC were miles worse.

likewise the Derby play off game saw the most extreme pogo'ing over seats I've ever witnessed. Absolutely crazy celebrations that contributed to the best game of football I have ever been to. Saturday was pretty big too and my left shin aches to ****. I don't dare think how mental we'd of gone if a winner had been found in the last minute or two. Not quite like the days of the terraces, but quality all the same.

I have a tiny problem with Martin just side footing balls off for throw ins when running back to goal. I know safety first is a good idea, but bloody hell, its not Tyro League mate. At this level a player should have the ability to create angle and smack it down the line. I find this very frustrating. He does it on both sides. He never looks to play it back to the keeper, which might be a good idea now and then. If I was an opponent I'd just smack it down the channels all day as he taps it off for a throw and you have gained 50 yards without having to try. Should have buried the header on Saturday BTW.
-
outstanding against Preston too, but less impressive at Barnsley. Hope he can keep this form up as he is a perfect foil for our ball players. His form dropped badly last season, not sure what led to that, but we need to avoid it this time round.
-
if we win don't we have to play just before the skate game? I'll keep that as compensation should we lose. My side Bart Butterfield Martin Jos Harding de Ridder Morgan Reeve Cork Forte Guly We played five in midfield last time and I can see us doing that again. Left midfield is the problem position though with Lalalna and Holmes out. We also need to rest Chaplow really. Forte has played out there so maybe he will get the task or Dickson perhaps, who has a lot to prove after the woeful display his put in against Preston. The Guly, de Ridder, Forte combination will give Adkins flexibility to change things on the fly.
