  1. He has been largely poor since returning from injury and for me he doesn't look fit.
  2. I have no idea, but we lost £7m in the first season, and maybe (someone will be able to tell us) a similar sum in the second year so we have relied on the owners to find that overspending. The AOC fee will have gone a long way to cover those two seasons of losses. I don't think there are huge huge sums available, certainly not £5m, but there will be some money.
  3. absolutely spot on. Never seen the fans jump on a players back so quickly and his form went pretty quickly after that.
  4. of course we had the ambition, but you might be right about the lack of financial muscle. Some seem to think we shoukd be spending £5m on a striker FFS. Still we did manage to find the coffers to buy Fox, Cork and Jos not to mention the muscle to offer new contracts to Lambert, Hammond, Fonte...
  5. you are bored of hearing that we top of the league? And there's me thinking the "our play off hopes are hanging by a thread" post was your finest hour.
  6. good point, I think though that the Forte signing undermines him a bit. It was such a weird signing. I guess it depends how much he cost. If it was £100,000, then no one will mind, but if it was £800,000 say, then it is a very poor signing. However all his other perm signings have been great so even with that relative dud his record has been good to date building well on Pardew's brilliant signings.
  7. his kicking was woeful as well
  8. you're not the only one, he should have done much better with that one and the one before that Maynard scored from but was deemed offside. He'll be very disappointed with that, but he did make two brilliant saves to keep us level before hand.
  9. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/havant-and-waterlooville/jason_is_top_prior_ity_for_toon_1_3377439 worth a look possibly
  10. don't we all, but without his transfer fee would we have been able to afford Cork, Jos, Chaplow and Fox not to mention the new big contracts for Fonte, Lambert etc.?
  11. blimey.
  12. or worse still Forest fans. Who'd of thought they'd be bottom three and falling on NYE?
  13. they haven't scored since November 19th
  14. don't they just
  15. of course you are.
  16. he's on big money and will play Prem football next season with us. He is going nowhere. Trust me.
  17. a yellow for time wasting when two down, almost as stupid as the crowd throwing the ball away when your side if one down.
  18. and Reading. Not all teams can lose.
  19. how about something witty and original like...Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. good to see 'ull losing, they looked a very good side at SMS. Reading are another I'd like to see lose a few. Only half time in a lot of games, but just shows what a tough league this is.
  21. good news that Brighton are losing. Lets hope that is a very very tough game for them.
  22. QPR went through a period last season of 6 draws, 2 defeats and 2 wins, admittedly there were a lot of the better sides in that run, but it just shows that even the champions don't go through the season winning every week.
  23. very good rant. Guly is the new Puncheon, who was the new BWP...
  24. not a chance in hell of that happening.
  25. I hope the wage bill/income balances a lot better in the Championship as we're not going to find £12m every couple of years to clear the decks.
