    Chaplow

Our dip in form has certainly coincided with his absence, the shear fact we don't get the ball back as often or as quickly without him has meant we have not been been able to exploit our patient passing game. But Lallana's injury has also been factor, up until yesterday he has been off the pace and defensively a weak link. He looked much improved and perhaps his foot problem has been overcome?
  2. very good point. Are any of the wages covered by insurance if they get injured or is that ridiculous?
  3. didn't realise he was "rated" if I'm honest. Brum don't concede goals and he plays a large part of that. Even when we walloped them he had a decent game. He has pace, strength and decent positional awareness. Handy on the ball and at 26 still time to realise that potential he showed at Luton. I've seen him a fair bit this season and he has been very good. My bluenose mate shudders at the thought of his back four without him. Perhaps he is one for the summer, but putting in a low bid now showing our interest would perhaps get him onside come the summer. Out of interest who'd you pursue at CB?
  4. they purposely don't have mics near away fans as they are more likely to sing naughty songs. Waste of time as the skates' "We ****ing hate you..." was clearly audible.
  5. hooooooooooooooooooooooooooof
  6. compared to 04 and 05 our fans were great. You hardly heard a dicky bird from us in 2004 once the hail stones had done their job.
  7. I think the same, but the BBC Jake fella has made many fans opinions up for them.
  8. Agreed. Great signing so far.
  9. he has been outstanding in those games. Brum will need to sell players in January, he'd be last on their list to be allowed to leave, but if they can't offload Ridgewell for the right price they might get desperate. I'd buy Curtis Davis and a fit Jordan Mutch without a second thought. Note we like to raid teams that are desperate for money - you tend to get a good deal of course. I doubt either would be available in our price range.
  10. I thought Hammond had an absolute stormer of a game and my man of the match. He was everywhere and really controlled the game. Lambert was top notch too. Forget the goal, his first touch under huge pressure was as good as anything I've seen from him. I actually thought the two centre backs looked nervous. They let the ball bounce too often and got away with it on a couple of times. Some clearances were sliced and Jos very nearly got caught out when slipping, dilly dallying and treading on the ball. Lallana was a great out ball. The ball stuck and he didn't give it away. I've criticised him recently, but he was much improved. Hopefully he has got over his injury as he will make the difference.
  11. Personally after the goal it took me about 5 minutes to get my breath back, after that there were perhaps a few nerves which might have tapered the noise levels a little. Overall I didn't think it was as bad as people are making out. On the right side it was pretty much non stop singing and goading with their North Stand. To be honest the game was so low on quality and bereft of decent attacks there was little to get excited about.
  12. personally I've never rated him. He was dire in the cup game against us last time out. Morgan gave him the run around. Do we need another centre midfielder?
  13. Timid? What a load of ********. Ever thought that perhaps we are trying to live within our means? The prices quoted in the summer (£5m for Maynard) were crazy, and I for one don't ever want to see us stretch beyond our means again. Far too many Saints fans that have forgotten how close were were to folding, so anyone moaning about not spending these sums of money now are idiots.
  14. I'm not sure why anyone was calling you crazy, crazy. One of the worst displays I have ever seen in a Saints shirt. On the flip side though he has put in some displays that are right up there, all be it not at the very top level. He is just one o those players that blows hot and cold. He needs plenty of space to work in as his first touch is not spot on, but given that room he can be very effective. I'm nit sure I've seen him do it away from home except at Dagenham.
  15. what a contribution, Should I check the other 344 beauties?
  16. most fans seem to moan at him when he doesn't chase aimless hoofs like they did with BWP. That said the failed fancy flicks do annoy, but its the poor first touch that gets my gripe. At this level your touch needs to be spot on and at times his isn't. That lack of control deserves a moan. It is the bare minimum an attacking player earning thousands should have in his locker.
  17. Bristol Rovers away where he fell over his own feet (after a massive build up by fans, followed by laughing Saints) and looked like a fish out of water.
  18. having looked at the replays he'd of done well to have won that header. He had to go whole hog, but as soon as he looked at the player coming towards him it was all over. At that point all he could have done was take one for the team and in all honesty the number of Saints players that I'd put money on doing that decreases a little bit. In other words I blame him far less than the cock on BBC did several times.
  19. if the, ahem, hat fits. Jester hats FFS.
  20. no, but she's still moaning about it. Makes me smile when she does though as that short term pain has created long term enjoyment for me. I call it ABM (Advanced Bird Management)
  21. if the club sees money in it maybe they will.
  22. it was a complete pain in the arse, wasting me a lot of time and costing me more than it should. I feel for fans that come from London and the like. Not sending bus tickets by post was illogical and downright obtuse by the Police and the club. FYI Newcastle pay for their fans coaches and fans can choose whether or not they use it. Our club just seemed happy to make money out of it. A helicopter FFS and Police on the bridges at Whitely. Crazy. Having said that they got us there before kick off safe and sound. So it will be seen as a success by most, especially those that would have gone by bus anyway.
  23. took mine for the first time to Leicester this season (we went on to visit friends afterwards so I had no choice) and she got trambled on when we scored. Thankfully she won't be coming back.
  24. I think perhaps a child is required for the family section, and there was skates wanting to go but couldn't, ergo his South stand ticket would have been sold. Who cares, he got to the game and paying the £30 was a price we all had to pay.
  25. pleased tell me you set fire to it? Actually you say "used to", did you divorce her? Sounds like grounds to me - must come to games but annoys you when she does. "Take the house and the kids my son".
