  1. I see that Shaleum Logan is available on a "free". Perfect.
  2. Agreed. Very good player at NPC level. Lost his way a little having suffered some injuries. I wonder if the idiots would jump on his back as quickly as they have the other skates?
  3. A win to get us as close to Brighton as possible and also to keep this great run going. We'll need a good start next season so lets not lose the momentum.
  4. Best: Orient, Brentford, Plymouth Worst: Huddersfield away. We played like chumps the previous season, so I expected better, but got more of the same and it was all our (Adkins if I'm honest) own fault
  5. maybe, but having ****ed up so badly previously perhaps the new version of the test is much more rigorous, or at least they are taking a little more time to actually check up on the details in the forms.
  6. reads to me like the potential new owners have sent the Football league their Fair and Proper Persons test forms and the skates are now waiting to hear back on that.

  8. can't stand friendlies, but even a moaning b'stard like me might even go as it is going to be a long old summer with no football.
  9. with lots of comparisons between us and Norwich in terms of back to back promotions, I'd be interested to know what their prices were for this season as they sold a huge quantity of STs. Our prices went up a fair bit last summer even before the ticket tax, so I'd hope they wouldn't go up hugely again. Bet they do though. I guess success depends on quality players which costs money.

  11. The Hammond Chaplow partnership worked quite well until Chaplow went off the boil. Stephens appears to be a crab. Not sure we need one of them with Morgan and Hammond performing that role perfectly. Another powerful runner might be in order or simply just more quality. I have not been at all impressed by Stephens, but surely his loan move is a transfer disguised as a loan? How about Fabien Delph, Michael Johnson or John Bostock on loan. No chance, but, Guy Mousi or Lewis McGugan from Forest. Perhaps Neil Kilkenny or Darren Pratley - he would be a great signing but can't see it. The Jimmy Bullard shout is a great one. We are going places and he might see that, although there are plenty of sides thinking the same. Shaleum Logan perhaps for right back. Genuine pace is needed at right back. How about Lee Cook for left side competition, David Norris on the right? Both have real quality. Sol Cambell, Richard Naylor, Danny ****tu would provide reak power if Jaidi isn't up to playing every game.
  12. Greg Halford at right back Pilkington or Liam Lawrence at right midfield Curtis Davis or Craig Dawson at CB CMS or Nugent up front
  13. Brighton, Blackpool and Cov for me as not been to any of those.
  14. I've been amazed at just how sharp he has looked since he came back. When we first got him it took about 7 games before he was match sharp, but this time round he has been on it straight away. We've not missed Barnard at all. I know he has had a lot of injuries but how many games has he actauuly been available for this season, as Adkins overlooked him a fair bit during the season.
  15. lets hope so, but bear in mind 27 players have changed since they went up, so an improvement in quality throughout the squad may well be needed no matter how much we like our own players.
  16. He could not have been more central with absolutely no where to go. I thought the stewards did a bloody great job to help him and they themselves took a few punches as a result. Boy was there some cowardly punches from behind. When the stewards took him down the tunnel just to the right of me he didn't seem to have any cuts or bruises and he started singing along with the Saints so that has to be a good sign.
  17. his distribution has been first class this season IMO. Barring a few near post goals that may or may not have been his fault I think he has been absolutely outstanding. The best keeper in this league without question. As for next season. well, if there is a better option take it, but I doubt there will be.
  18. just back. What total joy. First time I have seen us get promoted after 27 years of following us and it was a wonderful experience. Thanks to Alan for the last minute ticket. Thought we were professional again and on a different level to Plymouth who battled bravely especially at the start. We are a juggernaut that simply became unstoppable. The Bournemouth game kick started it and the MK Dons just took that unity to another level. Davis 8 yet again caught well and kicked well. Promotion is great reward for sticking with us when West Ham beckoned. Butterfield 9 very solid display Jardi 10 Fallon is a tough opponent but Jaidi gave him nothing. The man MUST get a new deal. Fonte 9 yet another marvalous display. That settled pairing is one of the main reasons we have gone up. Threw himself in front of stuff and battled hard Dickson 7 given a tough time in the first half, but just about held his own. So glad he got his goal. It has been coming. Chaplow 7 ran hard but with little impact. I'd of taken Stephens off though. Right midfield needs strengthening. Hammond 8 strong showing for me. Worked his socks off and covered our attacking wide men very well. He is so improved on his first half of the season showings. Stephens 5 did nothing at all in the first half. Ran harder in the second or was it just the change of boots that made him stand out a little more Lallana 8 a great threat and didn't give the ball away. What a delight to see him in this side and great reward for him signing that deal. He could become a genuine legend here if he sticks around and takes us up. Connelly 10 Outstanding display. He looked as good as he has ever done. Worked brilliantly with Lambert and was desperate to score. He clearly wants a new deal and on this display I would give it to him. SHarp, brilliant first touch, work rate, ability. Lambert 9 All the good things. Link up play, headers, goals, defending... Seaborne 6 solid cover at left back. I wouldn't want to see that very often though. Morgan and Martin not on long enough. Great to see Schneiderlin back though. Fans went mental today. Fair play to those brave enough to celebrate in the home end. It got quite hairy for a few. Hope the lad that had the whole stand trying to batter him is okay. Boy would I have hsit it if I had been in the same position.
  19. on football away grounds it says half an hour (first in first out), but I'll believe that when I see it.
  20. with a bit of luck Surman will score a few and celebrate in style
  21. I always had a gripe about him selling his FA Cup tickets, but I most be going soft as I'm willing to forgive and forget. I didn't realise England had beaten everyone prior to the world cup and were favourites.
  22. if the police presence is like it was yesterday then getting on the pitch will be nigh on impossible.
  23. I know all our thoughts will be on promotion tomorrow and it's a dog eat dog world, but it is desperate times at Plymouth so keep an eye out for bucket collections http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=54041
  24. no offence, but he left a number and I called it.
  25. excellent. sold. see you tomorrow. sorry mirrocarp I must have got there just before you.
