  1. whatever the price I'd like to see cup games included.
  2. I'd of thought the league would have something to say about that and we'd not be allowed to go into the transfer market until they were all paid. In addition if we fail to pay players they could walk away from their contracts. "So what" I hear you say but I'd like us to recieve at leats a few biob for Lallana, Surman etc should they leave this summer.
  3. like his passion and feel sorry for him with regards to the lack of talent/options he has to work with. However, I don't understand his team selections, hate the style of football we have had to suffer since he took charge and wonder if he has any other Saeijs' up his sleeve to improve the squad next season. If history is anything to go by then I have serious concerns about our knowledge of available and suitable talent to look to bring in during the summer. The `acquisitions' made last year such as Wotton, Holmes, Peckard, Smith, Molyneux...the list goes on and on...were woeful. I have little doubt the same clueless idots will be making similar recommendations to Wotte this summer unless they are all sacked as well (whoever they were).
  4. surely retention of SMS is a formality. It can't be used by anyone else for anything else really and if it was knocked down and the land sold to developers how much would that land be worth - hardly anything in comparison to the £24M outstanding on the mortgage. In my opinion AVIVA are going to do everything in their power to restucture (or even reduce) the mortgage to suit any new owner and every man and his dog knows this. I don't think the council has made any statements suggesting they would step in if required.

good point. Playing the slowest footballer in the world - Wotton - on his own in central midfield whilst McGoldrick is allowed to play in the hole behind the two strikers just is incomprehensible.

Perry is a negative in my eyes. He is slow, struggles to win headers from standing starts (like Baird he is decent with a sizeable run up but you don't get that all the time) and is absolutely appauling on the ball. Some of his offside attempts are woeful. I do like how he nips in and also gets tight, I totally support his effort and determination, but the reason he is sliding on his arse all the time is because he is making desperate last gasp blocks because he is not quick/good enough to stay on his feet to win the ball. Looking at the back four as a whole we have further problems because James is very poor in the air and Skacel does the absolute bare minimum in games in my eyes. When does he ever get the centre backs out of jail? He looks after himself and thats it.
  7. Are you sure?
  8. Inconsistent yes, but for periods in those two years he has been good. He's not playing well at the moment I grant you, but why on earth would you write off a 22 year old midfielder that quite clearly has ability? How long did you give BT to find his feet I wonder (probably no time at all alogn with Fuller, Jones etc.) BT didn't set the world alight until his mid twenties. As previous posters have already said, some of you are far too critical. Surman is going to improve with age and he is exactly the sort of player I want to watch at Southampton.
  9. There is not a chance in hell of me putting money into a bucket to pay Rudi Skacel's wages. Until I read on the official website that all senior players have not been paid/taken a wage cut/taken a wage holiday etc. then they can do one. Why would any man on the street even consider handing over their hard earned to effectively ensure Wayne Thomas gets his £8k a week?
  10. do you mean which players are most to blame?
  11. absolutely gutted. No matter how unrealistic it was that we would win the next two games and survive AND not get docked points the reality still hits you hard. Gutted.
  12. agreed. We wanted £500,000 and they failed to match that figure. Now they have come back with an offer of just £200,000 and we are considering it.
  13. good for you. Enjoy it.
  14. I'm amazed we have not sold this game out. I know its been a long terrible season but the combined fact that its the last game of the season, a must win and we need every penny to save the club means surely any supporter that can afford it will attend. Very dissapointing.
  15. they are all available.
  16. This is the most interesting thing. Looking at who wee have right now I wonder who would be the most effective in this division. As you have already stated we need to be dominatinggames and creating chances for Saga to be effective - are we going to do that next season? I just wonder if the pace BWP has might be the most effective weapon. With that extra time perhaps he might score as few more than he does in the CCC. Being out of contract means he will be off though I suspect. I think McGoldrck will improve, but he lacks pace and effort and that is not going to change. We can't play him at the front of a diamond if we want to succeed. Gillett worked wonders but Wotton... For me Patterson might hold the key. He's good in the air, strong, quick enough and as he showed at Ipswich he has the composure as well. I still think if Patterson/BWP had played all season we would have scored enough goals to keep us up.
  17. Did Heskey get shot down by Liverpool fans when he donated £100,000+ to Leicester?
  18. debatable IMO and see how long before Rudi is begging someone to come and save him from tier 3 football. IMO the club made a major **** up signing Molyneux when we had Mills already at the club. If we had given Mills as much rope as we gave James then we'd have a fine youg left back on our hands right now instead of a overhyped diving waver and a Everton youth reject.
  19. I've seen the vast majority of his games and I have backed him the entire season but even I have to admit that he is lazy at times. He certainly does more in mdifield but when he played up front you would never ever see him bust a gut to get in the box - and that is why he hardly ever scored. I want the lad to succeed but IMO he got far too many tips from Stern John who quite clearly told him to waltz around the pitch as the game will come to you (or suchlike).
  20. neither are great are they. Saga's all round game is terrible and McGoldrick is lazy.
  21. but we don't create chances when Saga plays because he has no pace to get behind them, is crap in the air and doesn't hold the ball up well enough for us to ever get on top of teams. For a **** side like us he almost becomes a luxury player.

    Magilton sacked

fair point but there's me thinking we would be in the third tier next season.
  23. I'd be surprised if Sheff United made any offer for him. He hardly got a game for them and did nothing.

hoof ball Boothroyd is not welcome. Ince is a winner.
  25. I simply don't see how anything can be done in such a short time frame. Fans and people in the city simply are NOT going to give £100,000-£500,000 simply to pay the wages of the footballers at the club. As much as I love the club I just can't bring myself to hand over my hard earned cash to pay Rudi ****ing lazy Skacel and his like. The players have earned thouands (millions in some cases). I don't care how big their mortgages might be they CAN afford to go without and that is my only solution to this problem. Either they all take a wage holiday or the club closes and then they don't get paid until another club picks them up anyway.
