  1. if we go into administration then Surman, Lallana, Davis, John, all walk for peanuts. I'd expect Lowe to make an offer to buy the club as well.

    Bart Vs KD

there was a contract stipulating that they would pay us X amount. Why the **** did we not sit and wait for the cash to roll in rather than take a third string keeper instead? the bank wanted cash not extra wages. Did we even need a 3rd keeper? We could have got an emergency loan if we had got an injury to Davis/Bartor just used a youngster to sit on the bench. Madness. The only thing I can think of was Davis was sold and it fell through at last minute and we got left holding the baby (Forecast).

perhaps they want to buy a CCC side now, keep them up and then get them promoted to the Premiership the following season rather than sit and wait and acquire a League 1 side.
  4. if we had just managed to stay up we could have signed him permanently and watched him take the **** out of defenders every week. He won't drop down a division. The only loans we could afford would be youngsters or perhaps from other CCC sides. Murphy from Brum might be an option to play at left back.
  5. Club is skint + Prem interest = Kid gone for peanuts Financially OK + Prem interest = Kid goes for serious money or not at all
  6. Agree either play him up front or drop him. He is never a winger in a million years.
  7. Jan went for the carrot of a three year contract rather than the stick, ie kicking him up the arse.

    Skacel MUST play!

    what's to remember?

    Skacel MUST play!

Dyer has had one start and three sub appearances after half a season out with injury, not to mention the court case hanging over him. I think he needs to be cut a little slack rather than chucked on the scrap heap. As badly as Skacel appears to have been treated, hasn't he been injured anyway? Is he even fit now?
  10. if we continue to fail on the pitch the crowds will remain low, income will not meet outgoings and the club will have no choice whatsoever but to sell even if the amoubt offered is just `OK'. It's not rocket science.
  11. he's inconsistent, not just from match to match, but from move to move. I don't see many players in the current squad that aren't

    Paul Wotton

Are you sat near me as we were laughing about that on Saturday. He even runs like him. He's a fighter but never good enough to play in CM. I fear for us if its him and Perry against a bit of pace but they certainly looked solid on Saturday.

I honestly did not know who the 5th sub was on Saturday, I don't waste £3 on the programme (he wasn't in there anyway) and I missed the subs announcement. When I looked in the paper on Sunday and it said Davies I still didn't know. For someone that spends morning, noon and night looking on here and reading about Saints I am ashamed at myself for not knowing it was him and if I'm honest not knowing what sort of player he is anyway. Sign of the times s'ppose. Can someone fill me in please, where across the back doe she play? He looked tall so I assume he is a CB. Is he any good?
  14. he gave him a massive mouthful and rightly so. Pretty fair match report that. Our defence looked good because their attack is the worst in the League.
  15. how much are Lowe and Wilde paying themselves?

Northern games will always get a decent crowd as the `expats' always take advantage of a game on their doorstep. I'll be driving up. No chance of persuading any of my mates to go and struggling to persuade my old man to join me...even with a free ticket!
  17. I've described myself on here as a `mug fan', but I think you should ease up when calling supporters morons. Some of us bought ST's because we love watching Saints, the fact we are **** right now is just the way it is, but a supporter must take the rough with the smooth. When we finally get a modicom of success those that have suffered long and hard will appreciate things that little bit more.
  18. there's idiots in the Northam? Nothing has changed.

I like his effort but he has been a little sloppy with his passing/first touch in a few games. I don't see a better option in the middle. He's a far far better player than Wotton.
  21. I have considered that, but tickets have been dirt cheap for this competition for many years and crowds have been pretty decent. Things have changed.
  22. I'm no fan of Thomas or Skacel, but now the window is closed I do not have a clue why on the face of it the club continue to treat them like outsiders. They are part of the club, so tell us about their fitness. Lowe's poor PR was always what I slated him for and this situation stinks of his poor decision making.
  23. no I personally don't think lowering the prices will get dramatic increases in attendance. You only have to look at the attendance in the Carling Cup where tickets were just £8 to see that. If ST's had been £200 then maybe we could have got bumper crowds (and to be honest after the ****e we saw last season and most fans knowing anything not bolted down would be sold that is the price they should have been, but I think `fans' have now slowly and surely got out of the habit of going and most simply will not return now until we are top of the league. The combination of us selling anyone decent, playing like **** all last season, knowing we would be relegation candidates this and the growing negative feeling towards football in general means poor crowds were inevitable. The side simply must start winning every week to turn things around. New prices won't do diddly squat.
  24. good point, but you can your bottom dollar I won't be buying a ST ever again, and as I have said on other threads if you stop being a ST holder and break that habit its not long before you stop going on a regular basis. Upsetting your best customers is never wise IMO.
  25. Half price ticket means twice as many fans are required every game. Will 30k turn up if the tickets were £12? They might.
