I'm as far from a Lowe hater as you can get, but this. A million times this. Pretty every single thing he did from the day he sacked Luggy was a monumental fu ck up and beyond any mitigation. And he even had the chance to put it right by keeping Pearson on and blew it. Doesn't mean that lots of the things he did do - academy, stadium, appointing some good managers, prudence, some great players and, ohhh, catering to die for - don't deserve recognition. He did lots of good. Cortese has always been Lowe with cash and I think will follow a similar career trajectory with Saints but that's another story.

Why not say, say, fifty thousand more? Or, say, seventy thousand? Or, say, ten thousand. Or, say, every single human being south of the M4?
-
In other news, 38,400 turned up at Goodison to see tiny little Everton against Man U live on Sky last night.

This is the single biggest bed wetting post on the entire thread. You'll know if/when he signs. You'll know. No need to grizzle about a bit of speculation and rumour mongering.
-
I bet RVP isn't on significantly more than Rooney. If you think bringing in a multi million pound signing on big wages into a newly promoted side doesn't carry any risk of disruption then good for you but I think you're wrong. This is all very exciting but I was jumping up and down when we signed Delgado too. Let's hope it happens but let's go in with our eyes open.

Nothing can possibly go wrong now.
-
I won't believe it until some hotel bell boy takes a grainy picture of Ramirez holding the scarf aloft through the lobby window. And then sticking it on twitter. And then getting sacked.
-
Hopefully there will be twitter updates live from the room every five minutes like they do with friendlies and U21 matches.
-
It's dissappointing that all those people who don't bother trying to get a ticket because they know they won't get one haven't even started to try to get one yet.
-
If only we had activated dynamic pricing as we should have done this season because this situation would have triggered the ticket price to go up. Or down. Or both. Or something.
-
Man U obviously a soft touch in the transfer market who don't do things in 'the right way' like we do.
-
You do realise City were getting 30k gates in league one? And, err, our home gates will remarkably shoot up to full houses for this season. Flies round the proverbial, you could say.
-
Eh? You don't need to be a football historian to sing the Munich runway song, which City fans have been singing for a long time since 1992.
-
That'll be the moral high ground taken by a set of fans who have been singing gloating songs about a fatal plane crash for forty odd years.
-
They'll loan him to us.
-
Just wait for the next time there's a positive article. See how quickly its posted up on here.
-
Well he's an idiot then. He said precisely that in late August/early September.
-
Because Cortese expected us to win the league, and we didn't.
-
Nice to see the mentalists are back. One game in and we're a better proposition for players than Liverpool and Spurs not just this season but in future seasons. Jesus.
-
Be fair with the context. We had just been taken over by billionaires.
-
God help us, Geoffrey Howe has waded into the debate. Sorry, I dozed off. Was it the usual sh i te?
-
So bit pointless you picking me up on it then? Thought so. Although you have actually failed to name a club that "don't" but there you go.
-
Sorry that is total guff. Any manager at any club is going to use the same kind of phrases that Adkins used only yesterday. "I'm not going to speak about players from other clubs" is a phrase you'll hear from club managers on SSN or wherever all season. Its the kind of thing even bloody Arry used to say. And the league is chock full of uncommunicative chairman and owners. PS Cortese gave a lengthy interview to the sun. Plenty of blood, no stone.
-
People talk about our policy like it makes us different. It doesn't. And it is not true anyway. We've been publicly linked with every player we've signed with the possible exception of Hooiveld. They've all had threads on here and national paper pieces about them. So, frankly, not that private anyway. Basically, as "private" as any other club.
-
All clubs try and do transfers in private. It's not a Cortese invention.
