Schadenfreude is a terrible/wonderful thing. To save time you can speed through to: 0.44 - 3-0 1.56 - 3-2 2.01 - 3-3 2.10 - 3-4

I said last night that Tonda deserved zero credit. I’ll temper that a little, but still think he made critical errors, starting Archer, then not making changes earlier when we could all see how things were going wrong. At least he made them at h/t - not that there was any choice. Two other things about him concerned me tonight. Saying (in post-match interview) that “the medical man told me he [Stewart] could I only do 25 mins” and (on the turn around) “the boys decided to go for it”. That does not sound like a man who is in charge of the dressing room, it sounds again like player power (at least positively this time - but shouldn’t it be HIM telling them to go for it?). I have no doubt Stewart couldn’t last a whole match, but he can - and did - play more than 25 mins, so why not start him? And if you don’t want to start him, why not start Larin - continuity from the Watford game - and bring Stewart on later?

Credit to Manning to be fair, not just his goal but he kept the ball in play for Jack’s goal too. Funny to see Manning, THB & Jack all up there fir that goal…

…and let’s not forget the lovely layoff by Stewart. He brings so much to our play🏴

Jander, Archer, Fellows all need to come off at h/t.

We tried to get rid of Archer last week… now he’s first choice striker?!? WTF is going on?
-
Suspect he did want away, but clearly didn’t get offers that match the money he is on here. This is his last chance to put himself in the shop window, so he has some self motivation. We benefit from that too, so not a problem. Clearly no problem with the other players, but didn’t expect there to be - they have to look after their own interests, so it’s all in the game…

No, they are both professional footballers.

And being Canadian, even if we were on ice he’d probably be fine anyway! 🇨🇦

Somewhat fortunate, but a win’s a win. Perfect goalscorer too. Seems to have nous, character & physicality which is what we need (and Downs lacked, among other things). Hopefully we can push on from here.

Awesome dog. She’s a beauty.

Looks like he wants to go oot…

And that’s the problem - disgruntlement at SR will manifest itself in this poor guy. I can well imagine a misplaced pass or missed chance resulting in boos - and, if that’s the case, we’ll possibly end up with some booing him when he’s coming on to replace Ross, as we did with Downs (which was appalling), Got to give him the benefit of the doubt, and give him support. That’s the only way he’ll build confidence. As you say, an early goal would help enormously. [Incidentally, I often wonder what might have happened if Damion Downs had netted that late winner v Wrexham, instead of air shotting it….Sliding doors…]

Hoping the Watford players feel as demoralised as the fans appear to be… https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/watford

Sign him up!!

Yeah but on bench and not getting much game time, so rumours of him wanting out (from my Brighton pals). Rome vs Soton may be a challenge though!

He’d have missed…
