  1. Yeah, but that is not the car in the Echo story… they’ve just used an old pic.
  2. Not sure I’d term myself a ‘huge supporter’ of it, but I did say I understood what their reasoning might be - consistency under new management, wider club influence esp. supporting younger players, leadership off the pitch etc. I also said I wouldn’t have him in my starting XI. To suggest that one decision has ‘nailed our trajectory’ is, with respect, total nonsense.
  3. It’s bollocks. It’s an old BBC story from nearly 2 years ago. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-68004690
  4. No argument there. But it still doesn’t absolve Stephens & Co. Talking of, Arma too - our silent (deputy) Captain.
  5. I browsed a little during the game and at h/t and was astounded at the mass hysteria that seems to grip this board at times. I can’t only read in small doses. I have quite a few mates who go home and away, and they are always more balanced and phlegmatic than most on here. There seems to also be a bizarre rise in conspiracy theories that Rasmus is pulling the strings still too, which is absolute nonsense.
  6. Of course not, but he also shouldn’t shoulder 100% of the blame when we have 3 fairly inept CBs.
  7. You can’t seriously be blaming him for that melee? Shouldn't Stephens, the Captain no less, have that responsibility?
  8. According to Alfie House on TSP the club are looking to appoint an experienced Asst Mgr. Good move, we need one.
  9. Which should have been cleared multiple times by a defence who stood around watching the action…
  10. An important one though…
  11. That’ll be Archer 😉
  12. But appalling with the ball at his feet, on distribution and has a terrible habit of throwing the ball to opposition strikers.
  13. He isn’t though is he? They equally poor.
  14. Guess it was this line that threw me - the implication appears to be that you’d rather not start with all of them - “You won't win many games of football starting with those six players in what is a very physical league. There has to be a balance between physical players ”
  15. You asked who our ‘quality players’ were and that is my view. Now you’re insinuating none of them should start if we want to win games in this league (even though you presumably agree they are our higher quality players?). Who would you start instead? Five of those six are fit, so you have 6 other spots to add a bit of steel.
  16. Jander, Scienza, Fellows, Charles, Azaz (when ‘on it’ which he certainly wasn’t yesterday). Armstrong - who I wouldn’t necessarily put in this group - is the league’s top scorer.
  17. Among many other things I worry about TE’s ability to motivate and bring some ‘blood & thunder’ to the changing room. His post match interview was like listening to a ChatGPT response… This is what you can lose with young modern ‘coaches’ - I’m all for a bit of changing room hair-dryer / cup throwing (balanced with tactical nous). Yet again, it is all way too ‘academic’. We’re losing to clubs like Norwich, Millwall, who you know are being sent out to “tear into these 🤬🤬🤬…” and we can’t handle it, and Tonda seemingly has no answer.
  18. Armstrong didn’t look like he was trying today… Who is Robertson?
  19. Isn’t McCarthy the one who usually ‘throws one in’?
  20. I‘m starting to think Tonda isn’t the tactical genius he was billed as…
  21. Not required.
  22. The opposition view… Funny they all moan about Flynn Downes’ excellent tackle to start the move for the third goal… Flynn was outstanding yesterday, put in a real shift.
  23. Gainfully employed.
  24. That’s true, but he has some currency in the bank with the last 4 games. If Tonda won 5 in a row, then they appoint Farke and immediately lose can you imagine the reaction?!
  25. Don’t agree actually, plenty of good stuff going in SO.
