That’s the point, if they alternated between experimental and traditional kits no one would mind. But they’re not doing that now - just a jumble of poor designs dreamt up by some ponytailed Marketing Exec… I can’t imagine Celtic or Liverpool fans being so delighted at ditching their traditions.
-
I simply don’t believe that (not disputing you were told it btw), fans who buy kits will generally buy whatever is on offer. I think most fans are happy to see us in traditional r&w stripes. I can tolerate the odd experimental year but going two back-to-back smacks of a move away from that.

Ah the meme… the last bastion of the those with nothing interesting to say. Well done you! 👏👏👏

If anyone can, it’s SFC!
-
Agreed. It’s not difficult…
-
We haven’t seen the away kit yet…😉

I’m very happy for it to be sold as a retro shirt, where it belongs. One of our worst ones mind you.
-
Why would you do that? Seems a bit extreme. It looks just as shit on a mug as it does on a human btw…
-
You think this is more traditional the red & white stripes? 🤷♂️
-
If you asked a thousand football fans what kit they associate with Southampton FC with what do you think they would say? Red & white stripes or ‘Denmark in the 80s’? You know exactly what I mean - I don’t mind an experiment every other year, or rather tolerate it… but this is two non-traditional (and pretty shitty) kits in a row.

Horrific. Ditched any semblance of our traditions with two aberrations in a row. Danish vanity project by Rasmus and Henrik…

Big fan of Rasmus & Henrik?

I can cope with one ‘traditional year’ (ie r&w stripes), one ‘experimental’ (like last year), but if we’re switching to two consecutive experimental years that’s a little worrying. Losing our identity a bit I fear…
-
That analysis seems to conflict with what we witnessed with our own eyes…
-
It’s the collar I think (for me)…
-
Oh dear… I mean it’s stripes, but a bit ‘non-leaguey’. Let’s hope not, eh? https://www.footballshirtculture.com/new-kits/kilmarnock-fc-2023-24-hummel-home-kit.html

Guess given we sat through a similar number defeats under Jones (albeit punctured by the Everton & Man City wins) before revolting, you might be right, but I also think the last two appointments increase the heat on RM even more, and there will be even greater pressure to get results early.

Agreed. He’s much maligned which I never really understand - always gives 💯. Finishing isn’t always great but he is a great foil for another striker (as we saw with Ings) and holds the ball up brilliantly. If the right offer comes in he’ll go, but I’d love to keep him. Much rather have him stay than Adam Armstrong* but would’ve happy for both to stay and think they’d kill it in this league (as they have before). *I don’t think Arma is good enough for the PL, whereas Che is, but more than good enough for this league as he has proved before.

Okay, strap in, the transfer window is officially open…

In fairness I think Thomas Frank failed to win in something like his first 10 games. Not sure how patient our fans will be if that happens…

Bonkers in the nut. Shame.
