  1. Agree - Onuachu isn’t better than Stewart. In the last few games I think we’ve seen there is a player there in Stewart. He can do a job in the Championship, no doubt, but fitness will be the key. So though I do agree we can’t put all of our eggs in one basket, and need reinforcements, I’d like to see RS stay.
  2. Lots of running, zero end product. He looked interested (as he does in season finales… “buy me”), but that’s about it.
  3. Of the three going up they have the best chance of staying up I’d say, but it’ll take big investment and a lot of fight. 17th s/b the sole aim of all promoted teams these days. Sad really.
  4. I mean obviously next season I’ll want to win as many games as possible and it’s human nature that I’ll want us to go up. My point - as others have pointed out - if this year has taught us anything it’s that you have to be fully prepared for the step up, and we were anything but. I just don’t want to go through that again. Leeds stayed down for two years… and I bet they enjoyed their season a lot more than us! I take your point though - it can go the other way and you end up like Stoke or someone. Let’s just hope they get the managerial and other appointments right - and then start reshaping the squad. One step at a time…
  5. Why is it being a ‘drama Queen’ to suggest we might not bounce back at the first time of asking? To be honest, I’d rather have two seasons in the Championship to complete the much needed ‘reset’ and go up better equipped than we did this year. As for Leicester and Ipswich being almost as bad as us - they are 13 and 10 points respectively above us. That’s a pretty significant improvement on our return, albeit with the same end result.
  6. Maybe we should do something like this for Rusk on Sunday? Or perhaps incorporate Martin & Juric too?
  7. My Bolton mate - who I went with - still hasn’t got over that game.🤣
  8. Let’s make it a hat-trick - according to TSP he won it for Bournemouth & Sheff Utd in their relegation seasons.
  9. Hard to argue with anything here…
  10. And regularly turns up to watch them…
  11. Actually better than I thought it would be - probably down to the 2.5k Burnley fans. £10 adults and ‘kids for a quid’ would likely have seen a full house, and with it, all of the extra revenue from F&B sales. But that’s too obvious of course… I happened to be ill today but was going to stay away anyway - my own little protest at the pricing. Plus I’ve seen enough shite football/defeats this season already. Let’s hope they at least learn a lesson from this (though clearly didn’t post-Swansea) and start to consider the long-suffering fans a little more…
  12. Let me guess, you still think Liz Truss would have turned things around too?
  13. It’s starting to sound horribly familiar isn’t it?
  14. What was the attendance yesterday? Can’t find it published anywhere. Blackmore said the club had reported selling 17k tickets but it didn’t look that much. The board hiding the figure due to embarrassment? They need to make Burnley £10 (£5 for kids), we’d get a decent gate then…
  15. IMHO (from my Kingsland/Northam corner viewpoint) moving the away fans had killed the atmosphere in the Northam - and therefore the ground. The board won’t mind though as they're earning from the fan zone behind (which although overpriced, is pretty well done).
  16. THB would love that!!
  17. 😳
  18. Being there tonight and witnessing the incompetence on the pitch, and the toxicity off it, this was 💯 inevitable. I’m actually glad the blood-letting was swift. Better for RM and the club. It’s a sad end, and he has much to be commended for (for last season) but he’s been his own worst enemy this season - a few tweaks and we may have had 5-6 extra points which may have saved him. I have more optimism than I had a few hours ago - not about staying up of course, that ship has sailed - but the kicker is that any future improvement in our fortunes depends on SR making the right appointment. And that is whole other kettle of fish…
  19. They are, and they have. And also can’t afford to pay him and his staff off. Not that anyone would trust them to appoint anyone better anyway…
  20. It’s here… https://x.com/solentsport/status/1865469243992543651?s=46
  21. How many tickets did we get allocated for this one? Well done to those travelling…
  22. Just before the move that led to the corner (that provided their winner) their keeper had to come out of his area a good 10 yards to get a hopeful ball we’d punted up. Instead of showing urgency and putting him under pressure, Sulemana just stops and gently jogged back toward the centre circle. Goalie has time to compose himself and lump it back towards our area… and start the move that led to the corner. You know the rest… 🤬
  23. Yeah, that doesn’t look good. But the neck looks different and the blue doesn’t help. If the colours were reversed - i.e. red the dominant colour, on side panels etc. it would be better.
  24. AC Milan’s new Puma kit. This would do (with red neck/cuffs) but I’d still prefer collar & v-neck. Also it has the awful plain back… Like the basic stripes though.
