  1. He isn’t though is he? They equally poor.
  2. Guess it was this line that threw me - the implication appears to be that you’d rather not start with all of them - “You won't win many games of football starting with those six players in what is a very physical league. There has to be a balance between physical players ”
  3. You asked who our ‘quality players’ were and that is my view. Now you’re insinuating none of them should start if we want to win games in this league (even though you presumably agree they are our higher quality players?). Who would you start instead? Five of those six are fit, so you have 6 other spots to add a bit of steel.
  4. Jander, Scienza, Fellows, Charles, Azaz (when ‘on it’ which he certainly wasn’t yesterday). Armstrong - who I wouldn’t necessarily put in this group - is the league’s top scorer.
  5. Among many other things I worry about TE’s ability to motivate and bring some ‘blood & thunder’ to the changing room. His post match interview was like listening to a ChatGPT response… This is what you can lose with young modern ‘coaches’ - I’m all for a bit of changing room hair-dryer / cup throwing (balanced with tactical nous). Yet again, it is all way too ‘academic’. We’re losing to clubs like Norwich, Millwall, who you know are being sent out to “tear into these 🤬🤬🤬…” and we can’t handle it, and Tonda seemingly has no answer.
  6. Armstrong didn’t look like he was trying today… Who is Robertson?
  7. Isn’t McCarthy the one who usually ‘throws one in’?
  8. I‘m starting to think Tonda isn’t the tactical genius he was billed as…
  9. Not required.
  10. The opposition view… Funny they all moan about Flynn Downes’ excellent tackle to start the move for the third goal… Flynn was outstanding yesterday, put in a real shift.
  11. Gainfully employed.
  12. That’s true, but he has some currency in the bank with the last 4 games. If Tonda won 5 in a row, then they appoint Farke and immediately lose can you imagine the reaction?!
  13. Don’t agree actually, plenty of good stuff going in SO.
  14. Though he’s just popped up at Sheff Weds I see. Good luck to him. Super frustrating for us, but had occasional memorable moments.
  15. And if they appoint him and immediately start losing again?
  16. I’d rather have Tonda than Farke!
  17. Would be interesting to re-open the poll again, and how attitudes have shifted…
  18. The other factor in all of this is what Tonda himself thinks/wants. He may be quite happy with the arrangement atm - without the formal f/t title of ‘manager’ he avoids all of the pressure & politics that goes with it. He may be happy to run to Xmas or even the end of the season to ‘test the water’ himself too before committing.
  19. If Phil Redmond is Chair of the judging panel again they’ll win it. He was on record as saying how much he hated Southampton when he lived here (thus, we had no chance v Bradford) and “much preferred Portsmouth”. He’ll do it out of spite.
  20. Bradford are the current holders. Beat Southampton to the title.
  21. Agree, he’s doing everything right, but how many caretakers have over-achieved before getting the job full-time, and then failing (albeit new territory for SFC) - thus, it’s still a gamble. Give him hefty Incentive-based compensation for reaching the play-offs and/or promotion. By season end we’ll have a better idea of his mettle and whether to give him the gig full-time.
  22. I think we’re still all in shock… PS Couldn’t agree more about the NJ chant. Ludicrous.
  23. Said to my mate tonight “gets a bit boring these games being over by half-time doesn’t it?” 😆
  24. Agree, I thought he was brilliant tonight. He was everywhere and is so composed on the ball. Scorers always (lazily) get MOTM, but he was our best player by a long way tonight imho.
