  1. I don't rate long throws in general to be honest. I think they very rarely work and I suspect just popping it to someone and building works better.
  2. He was injured for the first half, then had to get up to speed and learn the system, and then finally was needed to play at LB for the final month or so because Bertrand wasn't available. But don't let context get in the way.
  3. They are absolute wank. Even in their win today they looked poor and misplaced so so many passes. Brentford were just even worse. I reckon we thump these 4-0 or something. Hope that doesn't jinx it! We are bad after int breaks sometimes...
  4. Was mainly due to a harsh red imo. If JWP stays on we shut up shop and I back us to grab a point there. Against 10 with our best player off it was pretty hard unfortunately.
  5. Miraculous what a better defence will do. Vestergaard/Bertrand is so so much worse than Salisu/Livramento (with KWP moving over to the left). Almost like it was probably down to resources at the time and not just the manager
  6. Haha I gotcha! No worries
  7. A dunce cap? ...sorry couldn't resist.
  8. I thought he looked slick...
  9. Romeu was superb too. Stepping through challenges like they weren't there.
  10. Same team. This is our best 11. Absolute quality. Norwich won't be able to deal with the pace and dribbling of Adams and Armstrong and I back Salisu to singlehandedly mute their entire attack (with a little help from the other 4 of our back 5 perhaps 😉). Maybe if I had to make a change Redmond in for Stu who maybe looked a bit off it.
  11. The only "nearly" for me was Villa were nearly down to 10 men if the ref was competent and it would have been easier. We could have had 3 atleast and I don't really remember Macca having a hard save to make.
  12. Another underappreciated aspect of Arma was he was dropping deeper and dictating play by passing into the channels. One specifically where he held the ball up nicely and spread it into KWP which looked very impressive. Also, is very very two footed. This guy could be a star if he can concentrate a little and work on decision making. His dribbling is also really good.
  13. That flick was filthy, shame he couldnt latch onto the second touch.
  14. Thats what happens when you have a tight defence.
  15. Alongside Salisu my man of the match today. JWP made some absolutely vital tackles, dictated tempo, and in the first half was running the game from deep and bringing people into play. Romeu was quality too. We have so many little battles in our team (JWP/Romeu/Diallo, Livra/KWP/Perraud, Broja/Arma/Che) I absolutely love it!
  16. Real battle up top now. Excellent game for Adams, dribbling us out of danger and holding it up well. Armstrong with an absolute belter!
  17. That was fucking stressful. Our midfield won it for us, Romeu and JWP were head and shoulders better. Great game management from Ralph, after bringing on a CB and CM they didn't look too dangerous.
  18. Great play, final ball needs a bit of work, Villa should be down to 10, it's infuriating they aren't
  19. Who the fuck is Danny Ings
  20. I like him, he keeps the ball well which is rare for us.
  21. Per 90
  22. He actually doesn't. His chance creation numbers for himself are well below the other two.
  23. Thats a good point. Also Ralph alluded to the fact he'd be happy to play Elyounoussi there at one point IIRC.
  24. But then, if he plays as a striker, and we have Che or Arma as a striker who creates? No Redmond leaves a void creatively, and both the above strikers make a lot more than Broja. He can't score goals if he doesn't get chances. Also, as said elsewhere, Broja has only trained for two days, could be a bit rusty.
  25. Good point, that bench is pretty poorly balanced. Would like to see Smallbone on there for Long.
